  1. It's an absolute mess isn't it. The manager has alienated himself from the squad by being too strict. The men supposed to be advising ETH on his transfers are a total disgrace, they shouldnt have sanctioned the signings of so many of these players. The players themselves are clearly sub standard for a club of our side.

To sum it up our major spending this summer has been a goalkeeper weaker than the already struggling keeper. A Chelsea reject who wasn't needed as we have players in his position already and a couple of players from the Lower end of Serie A teams Atalanta and Fiorentina.

To be blunt its a complete fiasco. The moneys been there for ETH, we can slag the Glazers all we want but they've back him and he's actually taken the side and made it worse than it was before!!!

That's his job mate, it's inexcusable that he should make the number of high level mistakes De Gea has over the last few years.

You don't see any other top keeper making that many mistakes.

Well that statement didn't go well did it!! haha!

I stand by the fact we needed a change from De Gea but this has been a major downgrade. I was all for Onana as well, I will reserve my judgement the next time we buy a keeper now.

  3. For a club in so called crisis were not really doing that bad. Just outside the top four and picking up wins rather than draws. That's really the main reason we are high up the table, we haven't drawn any games the clubs that have drawn a few and lost a few haven't gained any advantage from our poor loss record.

Amazing goal that was today. Also buzzing for Mainoo, he looks so composed for his age, think we have a star in the making there.

there is a story coming out with multiple players falling out with Ten Hag and I think to many dick slapping contests have alienated the team against him.

I get the Ronaldo one but to be fair Ronaldo made it easy,  he then engaged in dick slapping contests with Maguire, then Sancho and now apparently Varane and Rashford.

I can see them downing tools and getting ten hag sacked, all things come to an end.

I think he fell in love with his own ego, then he signed a bunch of shit players, now it's gone all peared shaped

    Dick slapping contests.

What the fucking hell is a dick slapping contest??

ETH has fucked himself up, he's had money and spent it awfully. That said he shouldn't have been given total power to demand players he wanted, Director of football John Murtagh stands in a position where he should be advising on players and potential transfer fees. I'm not having a club of Manchester Uniteds size didn't know enough about Antony the summer we blew 90 million on him. His statistics alone in a weaker league should have at least seen his fee less than half that figure.

Then there was Mason Mount. His fee was ridiculous for a player in the last year of his contract. Why wasn't ETH told no, why wasn't ETH told that he had three players already in that position with one being the club captain. Total waste of transfer funds yet again.

Then there was the amazing story of how you can downgrade your midfielder when it would seem near impossible to downgrade him. Fred, it had been a long time coming he was sold this summer, constantly giving the ball away for season after season. The day he left I thought, like every United fan they have to replace him. What do they do, they buy a 27 year old Morrocan who's only notable achievement was five games at a World Cup. Ignoring the fact no other team had ever looked at him and he'd spent the majority of his career languishing around the Serie A midtable.

Why has nobody within the club stopped these crazy decisions. ETH has only himself to blame in all honesty, you couldn't join and F1 race in a Vauxhall Astra, he's bought players from poor standard leagues and sides. They are simply out of their depth in the Premier League, they are the type of players Watfords crazy board would buy for 5 to 10 million quid in the hope they make a profit 2 years down the line. Honestly I'd take relegation if it meant clearing the whole lot and starting a total fresh with youth team players and a new set up behind the scenes and new ownership.

  5. Who the hell was in charge of the situation. The moment someone said stop the action we've made a mistake they should have stopped the game.

The fall out from this is bigger than people saying they shouldn't be able to stop the game once the check is over.

It almost felt like when an accident happens at work and few people claim it won't get noticed in the thin hope it doesn't.

    Clusterfuck

I'm going to see it on Thursday, have been looking forward to it for quite a while now

    Enjoy.

You may think I've rated it too highly but I genuinely came away from the cinema having really enjoyed it.

  7. The Creator 9/10

Not usually a sci fi fan but this movie kind of caught me by surprise. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time, absolutely gripped me from start to finish.

I’d like to know how much City actually wanted Ronaldo or whether it was a ploy to draw United into signing him. Makes no sense from their perspective to actually be interested.

I don't think City care about United anymore and haven't for a while. The tables have fully turned in that sense. We are basically the comedy act of the duo, which is exactly what they were during the 90's and early 2000's

Ronaldo is a goal machine with supply, Pep seen him as a cheap option until they got Haaland. He would have scored absolutely crazy numbers with De Bruyne, Silva, Mahrez and Foden supplying.

Not a chance that request would get approved. It's shit that teams get screwed over, but there'd be a seriously dangerous precedent set if every time VAR makes a howler, a game gets replayed. There's already enough fixture congestion as it is. And what if there's a howler in the replayed game?

VAR just needs to focus on getting decisions right.

It's not the technology that's not working. That seemingly works fine. It's the human errors and poor application of it.

You could certainly see a situation where a club misses Champions league by a point. The financial loss is huge.

These apologies wouldn't mean much then, recovery of costs would be the course of action.

I do suspect the ownership being an ongoing issue, probably gives him time. That & perhaps wrongly that Chelsea are worse off.

I'm not sure what is. You could easily question the signings of Onana & Mount. But if they had gone to Brighton or Newcastle or Spurs, etc, would they be looking as bad? I doubt it.

It just kind of often feels like Man United is just not a happy place. Perhaps because it's not Fergie Man United? And that's just something always in the room at the club. Something no other club has to contend with, except perhaps the not-Roman Chelsea.

But, yes, it seems to me he just can't have all the squad happy & onboard. However much his own doing. However much that the club's name effects everything & everyone. As a direct comparison, Villa have recently won a combined 9-2 vs Palace & Brighton.

Onana has made one big mistake, on a whole he's not been bad at all in my opinion.

We’re in massive trouble. On one hand, sacking him gets us nowhere as it’s a vicious circle. On the other hand, we’re already in a vicious circle as it’s clear there’s no plan A. Utterly, utterly fucked.

Why didn't anyone above him question the logic of some of the signings he's made. Antony and Mount for differing reasons are disasters.

We simply didn't need Mount, we've already got a few average attacking midfielders, why we needed to overpay for another average player is beyond me. Antony is one of the worst signings in football history, he's worth about 25 million and yet we were haggling around the 90 million mark.

Surely the fact he was actually underwhelming in the Dutch league should have been picked up on.

Basically no background checks have been done on any of these players, there has been no consideration regarding the step up in league standard. He's been given freedom to buy the players he wants and it's completely backfired.

Random memory from this post that is totally unrelated to this thread.

Sex related, when I was 18 years old I met a girl from Birkenhead on the Blackpool pleasure Beach with my mates, it was the usual teenage thing where you meet a gang of girls cop off and take their numbers.

Anyway we spoke a lot on the phone and she met me at Piccadilly train station in Manchester. We went around town drinking and it was a summers day so it was light late. I'm not proud of this but we end up around Ancoats in a old derelict yard space have sex up against a wall.

What I didn't bank on was double decker buses, whilst I was in the thrust of banging her from behind I heard the noise of banging windows. I turned round to see a load of teenagers on a double decker bus above the bloody wall of the derelict yard we'd stumbled upon for sex 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sorry guys this obviously wasn't wholesome but it was pretty funny for me.

I've had an awful few months so to me it was a funny memory.
