  1. So out at the moment is VVD, Gomez, Trent, Robertson, Fabinho, Thiago. Just come back is Allison, Keita, Matip.. Its getting beyond a joke now. And people still think we should piss the league. @RandoEFC said above that he could understand all the fuss if 'City were still good' ... erm hang on.. are City now suddenly shite all of a sudden?
  2. Stan literally said Klopp has nothing to prove but could prove himself even more ... all in one sentence I mean, how many times does he have to prove himself?
  3. So we are to totally ignore the rest of it? No probs
  4. I think he already proved himself when he was at Dortmund, having his best players consistently sold to Pep's Munich, whilst still winning consecutive league titles and getting to back to back Champions League Finals to be honest. He has nothing to prove if we are honest.
  5. I still think we will win it. Even without a defence I think we will still win it. I might be biased but I honestly think we have the best team in the league, and the best manager. Get Fabinho, Thiago, Trent, Gomez, Vvd, all fit and firing again and I'd put us against any team in the world.
  6. Yes its a bastard that we need to buy in January, and yes clubs will try and milk as much money as they can knowing our situation. Still, we are in very uncertain times and a lot of clubs can't afford to turn down 'fair price'. It might actually be the best time to buy in a way?
  7. So we have our first choice CB's out for the season and I still say whoever finishes above us will win the league. Looks like we have to struggle on with Matip and a U23 CB for the time being.
  8. Yeah, Chelsea away, Arsenal away Everton away and Man City away. We are doomed
  9. Virgil, Thiago, Matip, Fabinho, Trent & Gomez thats half a team out injured mate. Thats 5 defenders out.
  10. If you don't beat us then you are wank, is the answer
  11. Reminded? You'd have to be as thick as a whale omelette to be needing a reminder that Covid19 is still knocking about. Fuckinell some people.
  12. Sorry, I'm a little confused (and tired haha)? You were wondering what problems Trent being injured would cause so I gave the probable solution. Then you sound astonished he might miss games?
  13. Neco or Milner will just stand in for the 1 or 2 games Trent might miss id imagine?
  14. Just watched the game against City back again and I have to say that its a real shame Matip has the constant niggling injuries that keep him out of the team because he really is a top class CB. Great game again against City.
  15. I think he is very much knocking on the door. More than a replacement though, I think he gives us genuine rotation options with all 3 up top, something we havent had in a long time.
  16. I dont know, they look pretty reliable for the odd short spell or two. Gomez, Matip, Fabinho, Williams and Phillips should be enough to get us through in my opinion. Buying a new CB now would only stunt their development. You never know, a situation like this could very well be the making of either one of the youngsters, maybe even both. Could potentially save us millions in the long run?
  17. Funny old game football sometimes! Only a couple of weeks ago we were all up in arms about our CB situation, how we were doomed and how we shouldn't have sold Lovren and should have bought a new CB. Sometimes though its situations like this that sees stars being born. Phillips and Williams have now both been given chances and took them. Only a small sample size to judge but its now looking like we have two highly dependable young CB's from our academy that we can call upon when needed. Matip back soon and suddenly things don't seem so gloomy without VVD. Then there is young Curtis Jones from the academy. With Thiago and Keita picking up injuries he's been given more minutes than he probably expected, and he's done really well. Another young player that we can depend on to swell the squad a little. Up front we now look awash with options. Jota seems to have been an inspired signing who can play anywhere across the front three positions which means more options for Klopp and rotation now wont see such a drop in quality as before. Big Shaq also regaining fitness and playing himself into form lately is another timely boost. Thiago and Keita about to return ... things aren't so bad after all.
  18. Ive read that the op went really well and although the club aren't willing to put a time on his return, rumours are that he may make the last few games of this season. Hope thats true!
  19. When was the operation? I thought it was this morning once the swelling had gone down?
  20. Klopp has taken the same route by all accounts. We've still been hit very hard so far this season though... Mane, Keita & Thiago all got Covid, Matip, Henderson & Keita & Allison all got injuries during training and we've obviously lost both Thiago and VVD through absolutely horrendous tackles during a game.
  21. Yeah, whoever takes over Klopp will obviously be a downgrade. Dreading the day already
  22. Klopp loves a project, its where he thrives. He is just not interested in managing clubs that already win everything. He's been quoted a fair few times saying stuff like "what would be the point of managing Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Real Madrid when they win all the time anyway? Where does the job satisfaction come from?" Its why I'm not nervous one bit about the big clubs coming calling for Klopp because he simply wouldn't go. Look at his career... Mainz struggling, he built and improved them. Dortmunt.. he built and improved them to powerhouse status, whilst constantly having his best players sold to his rival. Then Liverpool.. languishing 8 - 6 in the league, often failing to even achieve CL qualification. Now look. The man is a footballing genius, easily the best manager on the planet currently as far as I'm concerned. He has said already that he won't extend his contract with Liverpool beyond 2024. He will then have an extended break before hopefully (his words), going back to Mainz to help re-build them again.
