  1. You said exactly the same last season. And how have they not invested into the club? Did you see the state of the club when they took over? Fuck me.
  2. He is also a player that wouldn't get into our team and wouldn't join without being paid stupid money which we simply don't pay for squad players. Hes also not a great example because he has played literally no minutes in this league. For all we know he could end up being an absolute flop.
  3. As I said, financial aspects totally ignored. Stadium expansion, upcoming Stadium expansion, new/merged training facilities, most of the first 11 given new contracts.... Actual figures have been posted on here litterally explaining why money isn't readily available but again.. its ignored. Also, if we arent expecting obscene amounts spent on players, what are we expecting? Does anyone actually think we can replace players currently on our bench with cheap buys? No chance. Most of the players on our bench would walk into most Premier league sides. Matip, Fabinho, Ox, Milner, Tsimikas, Origi, Minamino etc all start for most clubs. Then we have Jones and Brewster pushing for a few games. I honestly don't know what some people expect?
  4. Same was said at the beginning of last season. Then there is the financial aspect which keeps on been brought up but totally ignored.
  5. Not at all, thats your opinion. If Origi is your only worry then thats fine. Just dont get too angry if we don't go out and spend shitloads on a new striker when Origi and Brewster are still here.
  6. He hasnt said exactly that at all. He is point blank refusing to acknowledge the actual facts of the amount of money that has been pumped into this club to improve us on a wider scale than just transfers. Our owners and Klopp have all said that during this pandemic when the future is uncertain, they are refusing to take out loans for transfers against the club. The only way we buy players if is we sell players to fund it. Obviously because of the pandemic we cant just offload players for market value because everyone (bar the oil clubs) are being really cautious with their money also. We are still paying massive installments on the stadium expansion. We are still paying installments on the new training facilities. We are still paying installments on the next phase of expanding Anfield and we have just given new contracts to existing players at a massive cost. I dont know how many times the club or Klopp has to say it... there is no money for big signings as things stand!!!! Not only that, Klopp himself has said time and time again from the start of his tenure that he doesn't like working with massive squads. He prefers a smaller group of players he can trust and improve them with training. Its worked out pretty well for him up until now hasnt it? Some people are going to have to get their head around this sooner or later. @Rick carries on saying things like "Origi isn't good enough as back up", but Klopp obviously thinks he is. Klopp is no mug, he gets rid of players he doesn't like ie Sakho etc. So that's something else rick is going to have to get his head around. Its fine to have an opinion on things but constantly whining about not signing new players when our strategy has brought us so much success is getting tiresome. We had these exact discussions before the start of last season and look how that turned out. The people at our club know what they are doing! Ffs have some faith.
  7. Well yeah, in an ideal world we would buy Mbappe and Sancho to rotate with Mane and Salah but unfortunately (unless you are Chelsea and City), money doesn't grow on trees.
  8. Of course you arent a dickhead but think about what you are wishing for... We have Tsimikas, Matip, Fabinho, Milner, Minamino, Origi already on the bench. Then we have extremely highly rated youngsters like Jones and Brewster pushing those in front of them. Thiago is also likely to happen. Thats 9 players not even guaranteed to start most games and most of them would walk into most premier league sides.. and you want more? I just dont get your persistent need for new players mate? And its like you totally dismiss all the money that has gone into extending the stadium, the money going into the imminent second stadium expansion, the money spent on merging the training facilities, the money given to extending our first team players contracts... and yet still moan that the owners aren't spending enough? Honestly, its like you think real life premiere league is Champ Manager on cheat mode. Thats Chelsea and City mate, not Liverpool.
  9. Klopp said only the other day that he thrives on improving players in training and isn't interested in using the transfer market to fix things. Do you think he would committ another 4 years if he wasnt happy with how things are going? Expanded stadium, merged training facilities, CL win, Premier league title, club world cup etc etc... If you think hes lying then fair enough. The transfer window isnt even shut yet ffs. Honestly you come across as a little spoilt bitch.
  10. Jones has to replace underperforming players? Are you for fucking real? Those underperforming players haven't lost a home game in 3 years you dullard Sorry for your fears but if you knew anything remotely then you wouldnt be doing what you are doing for a living, you would be Klopps side kick. Sorry mate but you don't half come across as a spoilt brat.
  11. Hahaha you have no affiliation with Liverpool whatsoever so fuck off What do you want, for the youngsters coming through to be pushed to one side in place of a shiny new toy to please you?. You know absolutely fuck all in the grand scheme of things. Klopp and the team of staff he has assembled know slightly more than you im sure. I'm not sat in no bubble mate, you are! I can see things for how they are. You can question any decision you disagree with all you want kid, ill trust the people who have got us to where we are. You really should be a Chelsea supporter to be honest. I want this, i want that, i want this, i want that. Grow up ffs
  12. Fabinho was on the bench also. Jones is highly rated by Klopp and has been excellent whenever called upon. Minamino has probably been our best player pre-season. What is it you actually want? Brewster is one of the most exciting youngsters we've had since Trent. Were you moaning when Owen, Gerrard, Carragher came through the ranks and were given a squad place? You are like a child who hasn't been given his sweets. This is getting really tiresome. Fuck sake, every post from you lately is a moan about the state of a squad that has just got to 2 champions league finals, won 1, and won the league. We have won the CL, won the league, extended all our major players contracts, expanded the stadium, merged our training facilities.... and yet all you do is moan? Fucking wierd! Put a sock in it for fucks sake.
  13. This might shut the wet wipes up who are crying out for new signings
  14. It says more than £300k. £375k is more than £300k!
  15. Yeah I think there were a few raised eyebrows regarding the fee from most people. Turned out to be an absolute snip.
  16. Remember when the majority of our fans were totally underwhelmed when he signed? (I probably was one of them, cant remember). What a signing he has been. I'll be delighted if he stays, even if it means us not signing Thiago.
  17. I think if they could manage to spunk another £150m by the end of this week, it would be considered a success by most Chelsea fans
  18. No chance at all. Too many oil clubs and money in general for anyone to really dominate.
  19. A great post i came across.. for some perspective.... Winning the league seems to have killed off hope. Do you remember when we’d sign a few players and then, regardless of whether our first XI still wasn’t the best on paper, we’d naively and optimistically go into the following season thinking, could this be the year? Could we finally do it? Gosh, I think we might you know. Year after year we’d do it to the extent it became a cliché, “this year it’s our year”. Winning the league seems to have killed that giddy, naive optimism and I’m sad about that. Why has that happened? Do you remember when we used to have a LB crisis? That went on for DECADES. Do you remember when we went years without signing a DM and we kept berating the club? Do you remember when we lamented the lack of local youngsters coming through? Do you remember when we grew frustrated that the club wasn’t improving on Anfield? Do you remember when we were in debt but still found £20m for Robbie fucking Keane? I remember. And I remember going into almost every season still with that childish optimism of, “perhaps this could be our year?”. Well it wasn’t, was it. Now we’ve got a first XI which is better than everyone else’s. It doesn’t have a single weakness. We’ve solved our LB problem so well we’ve got the best one in the world and his deputy is better than every single left back that starts for our rivals. That DM we wanted? We’ve got Fabinho. One of the best in the world. Those local youngsters we hankered after? One’s been the best RB in the world for the last two years and he’s still only 21. His deputy is also a local lad who looks brilliant as well. Jones comes in and casually sticks it in the top corner to win a Merseyside derby. Anfield? It’s grown bigger and more imposing whilst, importantly, still remaining Anfield. Our training facilities are now world class. Remember the shit pitch we used to have? Now it’s a fucking velvet carpet where we haven’t lost a league game for over three years. Now we spend world record fees on defenders and goalkeepers and STILL make a fucking profit. Why then this propensity of fans towards pessimism? That giddy euphoria we’ve been craving for 30 years, it’s here! Enjoy it. This year really was our year. Hey, what about next year, eh? I really think it could be our year, eh? Look at what we’ve got…I really think we’ve got a chance, you know. Fuck negative vibes about transfers. I can’t wait to get stuck into the new season and hopefully we’ll turn over a few sides along the way. It could be our year.
  20. Klopp has been prepared to be patient in the market, noting “there’s a long time to go until October 6. We will deal with our situation like we always did. I think the philosophy of this club is pretty clear. We will see how much we can, or how much we want, to spend and all these kinds of things.”
  21. Look, there is what, 4/5 weeks of the transfer window left yet?! We have 3/4 fringe players that the club probably want to sell to raise funds and im sure if we manage that then we will see 1 or 2 new faces coming in. I'd much rather that than loans being taken out against the club.
