  1. Look, I prefer Leicester much more than Arsenal but come on, in terms of size, Arsenal dwarfs Leicester. Everyone knows that mate. You are right what you're saying in that Leicester (at this moment in time) are in a way better position. But if Rodgers feels he can do a similar job at Arsenal then his resources and potential will be much higher, and he will know that. Only last season Arsenal finished 18 points above Leicester. Arsenal are just a bigger club, theres no denying that. That is a big draw for managers. As I said though, I hope Rodgers stays put because I like him as a manager, I like Leicester as a club and I think hes doing a great job.
  2. In terms of the current squads nothing. In terms of prestige, money, location and potential they top Leicester.
  3. Milner has started more games. Wigi, Hendo and Fabinho too. Even Ox coming off an horrific injury is more of a first option over Naby. Injuries haven't helped (because he has picked up a few) but theres obviously something in Keita's game that Klopp doesn't like and cant iron out. He doesn't even make the matchday squad sometimes, never mind the first 11. That's pretty telling that his days here are numbered. As I said, it's a real shame because for RBL he was sensational. This is his injury record, it's not great... https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/verletzungen/spieler/302215 His downward spiral has been astonishing to be honest. In his time here he has 3 goals and 1 assist. In the same time at RBL he had something like (maybe slightly out but still pretty telling) .. 23 goals and 28 assists. His defensive stats in Germany were also off the charts. Here they are below average at best. I just want something to click and he starts reproducing his RBL form for us, because hes a great player. Just seems like Klopp doesn't trust him.
  4. It would be a real shame if Rodgers jumped ship at this point, hes doing such a great job at Leicester.
  5. We cant give him an extended run when hes injured all the time. This is his second season now and I think hes yet to start 3 games on the spin due to niggling little injuries. It seems like Klopp is trying to change the way Keita plays as well. For RBL he would receive the ball deep and just go on marauding runs through midfield, or hit sensational through balls to the forwards. With us he just seems to stand there static, recieve the ball and pass it sideways. That's not his game at all. I've also heard that he's struggling to settle in this country for a few reasons. That seems legit when you watch him play because he just doesn't look like hes enjoying his time here at all. I so want keita to work out for us but it's looking very much like he will be one of Klopps few flop signings.
  6. Sounding like Fabinho is likely to be out for upto six weeks. Brilliant.
  7. Thats a great stat for a young player in his first season in the top flight.
  8. I was actually quite jealous when you lot signed Pepe due to all the hype. Looks like we dodged a bullet in hindsight.
  9. I really like Tammy, seems really grounded but hungry... https://live4liverpool.com/2019/11/lfc-news/abraham-admits-to-studying-firmino/
  10. As you say, easy in hindsight, but have you seen who is the head of the referee department in this country? It's all well and good people like you and deadlinesman saying the people need to change or the standard of teaching needs to improve but it hasn't for years and years so what makes you think it will now? All VAR has achieved is to cause more controversy and I dont see that changing anytime soon, not while our standard of referees are controlling it.
  11. Well it was to fair. The muppets cant even sort out leaving the EU even after a national vote, but that's another story
  12. Go on then... change them! Its referees sat in a room with video footage mate. The same referees that are out on the pitch. They are all taught the same way so VAR is useless We are talking about football here mate, its nothing like saying 'what's the point in living'.
  13. You shouldn't have to sound off everytime it works, because that's what it's there for. It's not there to continuously get things wrong wich brings it to peoples attention. Read my post above. How can it be improved when the people operating VAR aren't even capable of buttering a slice of toast? My questions are this... Were things SO bad before VAR and has it improved the things that were SO bad? Is it really needed? My honest answer mate to those three questions are no.
  14. I dont mind change. In my job over the years change has made things much safer for everyone involved. I do mind change though when it's for the worse, when it starts damaging things. That's what VAR has done to football in this country so far. I dont think anyone can deny that. I'm not blaming the actual technology, I'm blaming the knobheads who are sat behind the screens in charge of it. I mean, what chance has it got when they cant even get offside decisions right? The referees in this country are diabolical, always have been. That isnt going to change because it's how they are taught. So how do you suggest VAR will make anything any better with those dullards operating it? All it's doing is making things worse by highlighting their dullardness.
  15. No, it's as you said above, some set of fans like it, some dont. Youve been told by people on here that they dont like VAR, you've been told by people you know that they like VAR. One set of fans isnt more important than the other remember!
  16. It's not bollocks because actual match going fans are saying it. It's also not the same whilst watching on TV because in the back of your mind, you're always wondering if the goal will be ruled out because someone's armpit hair poked a player in the eye. Look, you might like VAR, you might think it improves the game of football. God knows why because I think its damaging it no end. It's all anyone talks about which cant be a good thing surely? Football was better before VAR, i dont think that's even up for dispute.
  17. Like it or not mate, not everyone is a VAR fanboy. It's quite literally ruining it for some people. When a goal is scored theres a cheer, then theres a pause, then there's a cheer again... or a moan because a perfectly good goal has been ruled out. Match going fans like @Dan and @Storts have said numerous times that its killing the euphoric moment when a goal is scored because in the back of their mind they know it could be ruled out. Nobody can tell me that VAR has improved the game because it just hasn't.
  18. If you think VAR in this country was only thought about and implemented 6 months ago then I dont know what else to say? It's been researched for years mate and still royally fucked it up. Perfectly good goals being ruled out for offside, failing to overturn blatant mistakes made by on field referees, taking an age to make sure perfectly good goals are legitimate... the list goes on. It's a joke. Surely you dont think VAR has improved football as a spectacle?
  19. 6 months They've been working on bringing in VAR for years mate. Teething issues It's an absolute farce mate.
  20. It would be funny if Duncan Ferguson took over. His method of discipline would be to just headbut anyone who was late for training
  21. You can't even spell 'lose' you absolute bent bastard I'm pretty sure you will copy and paste a response to this.
  22. Nah not wearing that mate. VAR is supposed to get things right. Simple decisions like the Sterling offside should be gotten right. I mean, it's not even like it's the odd isolated incident. They are consistently getting decisions wrong. I've said it a million times, I much preferred football how it was before all this shit.
