Just watched an advert for WWE Survivor Series and there's apparently two rings in play at the same time.

    Why?

War games. I pretty sure the match came from wcw. Two wrestlers start. One team has an advantage as they have another wrestler come in before the other team so it's 2 on 1 then 3 on 2 etc. In aew you cant pin an apponent until all ten wrestlers are in. I'm assuming it's the same in wwe . Aew call it blood and guts as they can't call it war games as wwe owns the name. They are generally pretty violent matches in aew. Worth a look if you like that kind of thing.

I love horror and I really like A.I films so I was always likely to give it a good score.I watched the unseen version. I would recommend it as it does make her seem more scarier than the theatrical version

What do you mean by 'wrestling with an edge'? NJPW is far more physical and less flippy bullshit than AEW. Old black and gold NXT was as close to perfect as wrestling ever got for me imo. Storylines that made sense, in ring action that was athletic and hard hitting by a bunch of wrestlers who are mostly in AEW now, but with WWE there to tell them to keep their heads pulled in, and limit the indulgent BS AEW is famous for. Fuck they need writers, and someone to tell the wrestlers NO.

No offence mate I actually like you. You are pretty funny and I agree with a lot of political opinions.  I also respect your knowledge of wrestling. But I really can't bothered. Your such a negative and pessimistic person. You also seem extremely opinionated. Not just on this thread but others as well. I'm only really using this thread for enjoyment I'm not gonna get into any kind of conversation I don't enjoy.

We'll be fine, I'm not even assuring anything but what is true is it would be a complete failure if we don't make it through the groups.

Is the draw seeded? If it is I can understand you saying that I suppose. We all have feelings we are going to win sometimes. I was sure we would beat man city in the semi final of the fa Cup a few years ago and we did

    I have!

Fair enough. Aew has its problems. The wrestling is decent though. I like wrestling with an edge.  I've started watching wwe casually. But there doesn’t seem to be that edge to it. It be great to be able to take the best parts from both and put them together but unfortunately can't be done.

  6. @The Palace Fan then stop watching it. Also like other members in this thread your confusing your own opinion with objective facts. Gull gear was well received and just because you didn't like it doesn't mean it was bad.

I'd like to see swerve as the next champion. But he has to be really built up more than anyone. Why? Because he's black. It's horrible but its the truth. If swerve was white he may well be champion by now. Unfortunately racism is very real. It shouldn't be true but it is. Swerve needs more build up. And John moxley, Jay White, Bryan danielson are in it. Beating a couple of them is pretty good build up

We were bottom last time the Copa America was around and we still reached the semi’s. Usually it doesn’t mean a thing for us.

Thats still not logical mate. The draw hasn't even been made. I don't know anymore who would say they are confident of getting out of a group when they are doing so badly when the draw hadn't even been made. Like I said I respect your football knowledge but that's such a strange comment to make

  8. @The Palace Fan I think swerve has put himself in title contention. It may be a couple more months but he definitely has. That match was more long term planning. I personally think Christian Cage is absolutely killing it at the moment. This is the best version of him I've seen. A lot of people are saying they think he should be the next champion. Apparently Vince never liked the way he looked which didn't help him in wwe

Because we’ve made it through every group stage since 1997. We’ve had very tough groups in the past and still found a way. We’re usually a good cup team.

OK but you are bottom of the world cup qualifiers aren't you? I'm sorry mate that doesn't make any logical sense

Starting this thread now because some of the CONCACAF teams are still mid-qualifying.

I actually think the favourites are Uruguay this time, especially if Scaloni leaves Argentina. Don't think Brazil wins it this time and I'm worried how the next Argentine manager will be received as it is a near impossible job replacing the World Cup winner. I'm not sure Colombia have what it takes either, they have a great squad and perhaps the most modern manager in South America right now, but they do have a cultural issue mentally. They tend to fall in big moments, with a good therapist maybe they can overcome that just as Peru did the last 10 years.

Speaking of Peru, I expect us to reach quarters this time. We are always very good in the Copa America. A group exit would be a disaster, we currently have the longest streak without going out first round, running since 1997. Despite our terrible, terrible form, I expect us to do as well as we always do.

Finally, the other team that are expected to make noise is Ecuador, and despite having their best generation in almost 20 years, they need to just progress and give a good showing in the quarters. They've won 3 Copa America games all century, they need to show why this team is different.

Chile, Bolivia and Venezuela I don't see getting very far. Paraguay are also terrible but they at least have a good record in cup competitions so I reckon they'll do OK.

Of the CONCACAF sides, none of them will do well but I do believe Jamaica might make some noise. Their new convinced generation from England seems to be geling slowly, and while they are still inferior to most CONMEBOL sides, this might be the first tournament they prove they are up to snuff. They did well to beat Canada away from home who have also improved a lot in the last few years.

I don't know how you san say you expect Peru to get out the group when they haven't done the draw. I respect your football knowledge but I don't see how you can make that statement

Did you? I don't see anything.

I've deleted it now mate. But should be there your end. I think I just said fair play for predicting Argentina to win the world cup and asked how you were.

  13. @Honey Honey after reading about it seems to me that this is a plan to try to push people into work who aren't able to. From what I gather it probably won't help the economy much if at all and we won't notice the difference in the tax we pay. Obviously if we can get people into work it's better but it seems that the conservatives are trying to be seen to doing something about people claiming benefits. However trying to force people who are unable to work into work to get votes is despicable

I think you need to clearly see space between the attacker and the last defender for it to be offside. Then there is no subjection, its clear where the player is ahead or not.   It should be obvious to the naked eye in real time,  they shouldn't be slowing the tape down and watching countess angles to decide its a millimetre off.  It goes against the spirit of the game.

Yeah bit how much space? With var the law needs to be black and white.  There isn't really much subjectivity to it. You're offside your offside. The only time it really becomes an issue is when they have to decide when a player is interfering with play. Or if the officials miss an offside. If they didn't check it so much more people would complain if a offside was missed. If officials let it go if it was only a few it millimetres it would create more subjectivity. Personally I would consider changing the offside rule as I don't think a player has any advantage if he's a millimetre ahead. They couldn't tell before with var they can so you are adapting the rules to the current circumstances. But the application of it has to be black and white

    Is this the wfh push?

If so if I can offer you any hope it's that it won't likely come in until after an election. So might not happen.

I don't think the government said that to be fair. It was some idiot on talktv saying  mental health wasn't a legitimate reason. I don't watch it but it showed up on my YouTube and being so personal to me I clicked on it. The government have encouraged people with mobility issues or mental health issues to work from home where possible. However conservatives always say they will crack down on illegitimate people claiming benefits and they never do anything. The fact is a huge majority of people claiming benifits are legitimately ill. Its debatable whether the costs of the crack down would be worth it. It doesn't affect me personally. But when you have to go very careful to make sure you are not reinforcing any stereotype that people on benifits are scroungers. I know there are some people that do. I've met people who do but most would work of they could. Even the government's own estimates said the amount claiming who could work is very low.

When does everyone think a general election will be called?

Has to be done before January 2025, but I doubt it'll be left as late as that.

Perhaps May 2024, or later in autumn perhaps Sept time?

I think it's for the prime minister to decide. They changed the law and no one can force it apart from him unless Charlie calls one. Personally I think that law should be changed.

Gutted to lose this. Not good enough under tough conditions.

I had a feeling Australia would win it. They just always seem to do it when it really matters. One of those tournaments where the best team didn't win. Not to say Australia didn't deserve it though

  18. I don't entirely get this final draw. On Wikipedia it is saying 3rd and 4th best played teams will go into the draw. But if that is the case it would of already been decided so not sure if it's a typo. The rest of the draw is relatively simple once you look at it. The group winners from each group go into the playoffs but if they have already qualified it goes to the next best placed teams. I really want Luxembourg to qualify. Be great to see historic minnows qualify for a tournament
