Denmark's a very progressive country. Not only can men and women be friends, we even use the same public bathrooms.
  3. I considered myself ressonably well informed about the period but I've been really stunned by reading this. I'm about 4/5ths through but it's really been an eye-opener, and a good read too.

Didn't want to embarrass you all with too much of my glorious mug, but here's a pic of me and a pal in a painfully boring art gallery in Sweden, just to show yous I'm a man of culture.
  5. I think Origi could still be something special if Klopp can get what he wants out of him.
  6. Klopp played Lewandowski as a 10 behind Barrios I think for one season, but after that I think Lewa was pretty clearly the focal point up front. If anyone can correct please do, Indidnt watch Dortmund that much back then. Of course sometimes on the break he might run wide but overall he was a straight-up CF. Behind him Götze, Kagawa and later Reus had license to roam, though. I don't think Auba was really known as a striker when he first went to Dortmund. He was behind Immoble and Ramos in the pecking order for a bit, I think, and that's why he was playe dont wide, but then discovered his potential when Klopp moved him up front.
  7. I think it's the best statement of is quality and worth to the team, that they were able to transition so successfully from phasing Xavi out of the team. Obviously he didn't replace Xavi in a complete sense, but he was a key part of the team managing to alter its style to cope so well with his absence. Which isn't easy.
  8. I'm not Bayern's biggest fan but I wouldn't mind him signing off his career with a 3rd CL. A truly special player. The fact that Guardiola swooped in to take him from Madrid at 32 or 33 shows you how valuable he was. An example for any lover of football that technique and understanding are all you need to boss a match. And by technique I mean touch and distribution. Of course he wasn't a dribbler, but he's a master of the fundamentals of technique.
