  1. 35 total cases in the US now including 18 from the cruise ship who were evacuated and repatriated by the US government. CDC apparently advised against bringing them back but it was overruled.
  2. Definitely; it's highly unlikely for someone to get the virus after traveling to a country if there are only a handful of cases there... But at least Iran seems to be pretty transparent in reporting the cases/deaths - something that can't be said about some other countries. It's also still unclear how long the incubation period actually is; there are examples of as short as 3 days to as long as 24 which has been more of an exception so far but the latest outbreak in that Korean religious cult is a bit worrisome as it's suspected that most of the infected there caught the virus in the end of January and only started showing symptoms now. Italy just confirmed 10 new cases as well. There has been the total of 146 new cases outside of China so far today; highest since January 13th when the countries started reporting it. I bet that in the next week or two the number of international cases will keep on rising.
  3. Alright so here's an update... I'm not doing the regular updates with daily deltas from China anymore as they've been changing the definitions of confirmed and suspected cases back and forth so as a result their data has been a mess that's impossible to analyse in any sensible way. Their current reported number of total cases is 75465 as of now; with 2236 deaths, 11633 patients in serious or critical condition and 18264 recoveries. Moving to international cases outside of mainland China (including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan), there's currently (as of 15:30 CET) 1345 confirmed cases and 14 deaths in 32 countries + the cruise ship Diamond Princess (the cruise ship cases now have their own separate category as the huge number of cases on it was skewing the Japanese total too much.) There has been a sudden spike in cumulative number of cases in South Korea in the last 48+ hours as it went from 30 odd cases to over 200; mostly related to the outbreak in a Shincheonji religious sect. That makes South Korea the country with the most confirmed cases outside of mainland China followed by Japan. The situation in Iran warrants monitoring as well as they recorded their first case two days ago and already have 4 fatalities as of today.
  4. I don't think the potential spread in South America would be directly linked to China tbh. If it happens then it's more likely to be imported cases by individual travelers and at this point it is pretty much localised and contained in most countries outside China - although there have been a few outbreaks of a somewhat larger scale in the last few days (e.g. South Korea; Japan). I honestly wouldn't worry if I were you.
  5. 18 cases and 4 deaths in Iran as of now. Iran's health ministry: "Based on existing reports, the spread of coronavirus started in Qom [and] has now reached several cities ... including Tehran, Babol, Arak, Isfahan, Rasht and other cities and it's possible that it exists in all cities in Iran" - Reuters New cases have been popping up in the last 3 days everywhere, South Korea is particularly affected as they registered over a 100 of new cases in the last 48 hours. Will post the numbers/graph when I'm on my laptop.
  6. Going to do the Philippines trip later this year for a month or two. Visiting friends in one of the smaller islands and then the usual tourist destinations like Palawan and Boracay. Also a few nights in Manila and Angeles City for sure.
  7. The first two cases (resulting in two deaths) were reported yesterday in Qom; two more cases confirmed in Qom and one in Arak today.
  8. Haha yeah; shit happens with google search sometimes. I find this graph illustrates the mortality and contagiousness pretty well: To be fair I'm not doing regular updates anymore; mostly because China's numbers are a mess due to them constantly changing the description of what constitutes a confirmed case. I still keep track of daily changes outside of China though. BTW to keep it a bit on topic there have been 5 cases and 2 deaths in Iran in the last two days.
  9. Errr.... I think your numbers are completely wrong. Seasonal flu has mortality rate of less than <0.1%. Swine flu pandemic was 0.03%. the infamous Spanish flu had estimated mortality of 2–3%.

    Cooking

chop them up finely and then mix them with the minced meat. Won't even notice the texture but it'll add a lot of flavour to the meal.
  11. Yeah it is very complex and I haven't even started to wrap my head around it all. It looks like a perfect game to play one save for a long time with a pretty slow pace. The learning curve is steep; I did the tutorial yesterday (six parts) and thought "ok; this is not too difficult"... but then I started a proper new game and realised how wrong I was overwhelmed with the level of details. The universe is expansive and very immersive and there's sooooo much to do! It's sort of a combination of RPG - management - simulation - strategy - roguelike and who knows what other genres; it feels very unique in that sense. It's an early access so there's obviously parts of it that are still very raw around the edges but even at this stage there's an insane amount of content already. I believe the full version - and hopefully a proper English language localisation for international players - will make this game a huge hit. The people behind the unofficial English mod did an amazing job too; it definitely makes the game playable but it's obviously not perfect. Some of the translations are perfect while some other are ....ummmm.... hilarious

Same. I love how cozy British food is.
  13. I mean this is video games we're talking about here As for board games, I enjoy both the simpler "classic" ones and the more complex ones depending on the circumstances.
  14. Hehe I like complex games with a lot of micromanagement; find it very immersive... Don't usually have much time for it though so it's just one or two hours after work every once in a while if I don't have anything else to do. Nothing wrong with snakes & ladders either! There's a place and time for all kind of games...
  15. Have put a few hours into it and it is complex af Each character has Natural and Attained attributes. Natural ones are generated during the character creation and can be improved via genetics, reincarnation and the Ancestral Hall building in your Town. The Attained ones are improved by spending experience and time to read books and are transmitted to the next generation via the Taiwu Sword. Martial art/combat technique training has separate levels for theory and practice. Theory level requires reading books associated with a specific martial art (there's also the difference between original books and copies; some also have missing pages etc.) The training system is very interesting and includes barriers that need to be overcome to be able to continue the training. The battle mechanics have enormous amount of factors to consider too. There are three style of accuracy types that determine whether your attack will hit the target or will be countered: Forceful Attack(20) is countered by Absorb(12) Finesse Attack(21) is countered by Counter(13) Swift Attack(22) is countered by Evasion(14). Weapons have different attack elements each of them corresponding to an attack type. There are both external and internal injuries; as well as poisons that require detoxification/antidotes. This game is MAD. In a good sense. No wonder it sold over million copies on Steam already despite having no marketing and being created by a hobby coder. Already looking forward to the final release and the official English translation.
  16. Yes; amazing... Lucasfilm released all Season 1 concept art in hi-res; here's the full gallery: https://imgur.com/gallery/TORJ6Jv Looks fantastic. Chapter 4 ones look very eye pleasing. .....aaaand this one is of course my favourite...
  17. I'll just leave this here...
  18. @Bluewolf have a word.
  19. currently in early access and the English translation is in the works but there's an unofficial English mod already so I've downloaded that and while the translation is definitely not perfect, it'll do for now.
  20. Got The Scroll of Taiwu today... https://store.steampowered.com/app/838350/_The_Scroll_Of_Taiwu/ A Chinese indie open world sandbox RPG where you essentially build up a martial arts clan over generations to try and save the world.; currently in early access and the English translation is in the works but there's an unofficial English mod already so I've downloaded that and while the translation is definitely not perfect, it'll do for now. Just finished the tutorial and started my first save; currently trying to wrap my head around it. Looks very unique, innovative and complex; includes not only regular stuff like battling, crafting, resource gathering, but there are also a lot of other unusual game mechanics. The degree of freedom is mind boggling. @Mel81x @Dr. Gonzo have you heard about it?
  21. Thanks; it makes more sense now Will have to check it out.
  22. I must admit I haven't got a slightest idea what any of that is
