  1. I enjoyed the game. Obviously it patterned out much the same as other games this season, having to protect a one goal lead because we have players who find it difficult to score a second. They have no problem making the chances, just lack Drogba Lampard or anyone really who can be efficient in front of goal. Yes I can understand Conte’s frustration, but again one must underline he put us in the position by cutting off his nose in spite his face. I like Giroud as a target man. He tries hard to lay the ball off in a well cushioned manor to a Blue shirt, but where he falls down is his mobility which I am afraid to say is well below standard for a top club CF. Morata is mobile, but I am not convinced he is a target man. So what the manager has saddled himself with by losing Costa is 2 players who each have half the talent of the player lost. It’s the most important thing for the club to fix. I don’t mind either of the two mentioned players being sat on the bench next season, as long as we get a Chelsea style centre forward added. I found the decision to drop a wide player, is, Willian or Pedro and play two dogs in Kante and Bakayoko alongside Fabregas operating on the right side as a good one. While it removed a more attacking threat from our game it helped bind up Liverpools weak midfield and we gained good offensive displays from both wing backs, highlight Moses (SHOCK) who played very well. (I know he is very bitter of his time at Liverpool, and I just wonder). Watching the game 3 times now, you cant ever say we were in that much trouble, pretty much controlling a game (Especially once we scored) against a side who’s reputation this season is lost on me watching them so thoroughly in this game. I am prepared to give this game down to the managers setting up. Bakayoko is playing better. Ok there are still a few things he needs to iron out, like his understanding how much quicker the game is here compared to France and to stop turning blind when he first receives the ball in midfield, but I believe we have seen enough to know there really is a good player there and we should be patient. Now I know Cahill gave the ball away very poorly late in the second half, but that’s a lot less than both Christensen and Luiz has done this season. He is a whole hearted player who gives his all and it’s interesting the teams run of good form has come when he has been placed in the middle of the 3. Has to help the bloke playing too the left of him is playing out of his most welcome skin. In a season where a few clubs have hit gold with new signings, Rudiger is our selection to sit at that top table. Gary looks better when he isn’t stuck on his left foot all the time and Dave is doing well in a position that I believe he gets away with it. Would like to see him have a go at wingback. I think Gary would like to see it too. Lastly on Chelsea I must state something on Hazard. When he has the ball at his feet he is on a completely different level to all other players on the pitch in this country. There are those who are questioning if he is good enough to play at the so called next level of Madrid and Barcelona. For me, any move to either of those two clubs will see him perform much more consistently at the very top end of his talents. Playing in a country where he will be protected more by officials & clubs who have the need in them to play attacking football will illuminate his talent which will probably make us Chelsea fans feel Pig Sick. We have to question if we have only seen a fraction of his ability by employing managers who’s first thought is to not lose. I would not question him if he chose to leave, but would find it ironic that he did so the season before we are alleged to be bringing in a more attacking minded manager.
  2. I have to say the "Hands up, it wasnt me" syndrome which seems to be buzzing around anyone associated with Chelsea football club, before during and after Mohammad Salah's time at the club is being allowed to become a Witch Hut, one of which the media are obviously enjoying poking. "Antonio Conte insists he played no role in decision to sell Mohamed Salah" is the latest outburst from someone said to be in the know of what went on. He seemed to go as far as asking for the media not to pin it on him as he has enough problems at Chelsea. Like his humour on that. For me, there is no blame on anybody at our club, although fingers should be pointed at people at Roma. Salah was shit during his spell with us and although he did show signs of improvement when out on loan, there was nothing to say he would have the kind of season he is having, which I hate to say, quite simply breathtaking. Jose has made a big thing that it wasnt his decision to let the boy go and pointed out, he told Chelsea to sign him. If this is true, I find it hard to understand why he didnt put up a bigger fight to keep him in his first team squad over allowing him to move to Italy on Loan?
  3. Bayer Leverkusen defender Benjamin Henrichs has been linked with a move to Chelsea. German media are stating Chelsea will trigger the release clause in his contract allowing a move to happen as soon as the window opens. We shall see
  4. Yes you sum him up very well. In conversation this past weekend with one of my Italian Chelsea friends who were so up for his appointment as Chelsea manager, he reminded me what he said at the time about the feeling in Italy that Conte's Achilles Heel is himself when things do not go his way. In fact, at Juventus the media felt he invented problems to moan about the club. What amazes me is how he tends to state things, like the lack of goals killing off teams, months after the problem first arises. It's as thou he is slow on the uptake. Why, when most were saying Hazard couldnt play up front on his own and was being wasted, did it take so long for the manager to accept that? Willian, said by many to be our most consistent player this season, has been in and out of the team and more often than not, is the first player sacrificed in a game. Everyone saw his reaction at Wembley.
  5. Conte was frustrated by Chelsea's failure to secure all three points earlier with a second goal against Swansea, and admitted that a lack of ruthlessness has been the undoing of the dethroned Premier League champions. "Our top scorer has scored only 12 goals," Conte said in his postmatch news conference. "When your top scorer only gets 12 goals then it is hard to fight for something important, to fight for trophies." Speaking to BT Sport, he added: "We could be more clinical to kill the game, instead we keep the score at 1-0 and anything can happen until the end. Media outlet ESPN --------------------------------- As I said the most important thing we have to do during the summer is fix this problem of not being able to kill off games through scoring more..... However Reading what our manager is free n easy expressing of late for me is just another frustrating nail in his Chelsea career coffin. Lets think back to probably our hardest run of fixtures around 2 months ago and our manager, who is now kind enough to state what I have been saying for most of our season, decided to play our best player alone up front in the so called "false Nine" description. For me, it's his decisions in how to set us up which has been a major contributor to our lack of goals. That and our 60M CF only having the one foot. Oh and why has it taken so long for Giroud to start a league game?
  6. I have explained.... You are not worthy of any education put your way.... For months I tried to help you see the error of your ways nailing your bollocks to Christensen, only for the boy to help cost us our season with a number of mistakes forecast by myself. If you cant understand I have seen know nothings like yourself for years and know full well it dont matter what counter opinions I put to you.... YOU WONT FUCKING LEARN.... you will just continue to split hairs trying to get a foothold into something you have made an ass of yourself over. It's\you are not worth my time. It's that simple. Your hurting bad, I know that.... maybe not a record breaking in your next post.... more like your heart. Im done with you
  7. Sorry Cicero.... Let me explain myself in plain English for you to understand. I have worked you out ~ I gave you as much slack as I could over many months as you are a fellow Chelsea fan ~ Alas, you are not worthy. If the pain of rejection is too much for you, crawl back to those of your level ~ Plenty of them here for you to bullshit with. Moran & now Psychopath.... good job I am not weak minded like yourself. I get the feeling you was very popular with the bigger boys in the playground.
  8. I dont suffer fools Cicero and you have proven beyond doubt you dont know our club. I have tried to allow you some slack, but when you talk total garbage, such as on David Luiz, you get both barrels. I have been doing this for many years, contributing & running football boards & it truly isnt worth my time trying to educate people with football sense. It's far simpler to hit between the eyes and hope there is enough floating between your ears to register to think before commenting, especially if its addressed to me! You are obviously offended by my posting, which was EXACTLY what I was looking to achieve. The hurt you are feeling will do you far more good than having me explain why Luiz plays the holding position well. You should take a leaf out of Luke's postings who writes well balanced opinion, instead of running with the Pants down gang talking bollocks for ratings.
  9. I understand your sentiment, just struggle to pin point any who would be nothing more than bench warmers. Other then the two players you mention in the above posting, do you suggest any others to stake a claim as a first teamer and which ones would you now sell?
  10. Massive truth in your words... The Drinkwater signing needs some explaining, the best I have heard is whoever got the credit for the Kante signing was allowed to bring his partner for the double wammy. Obviously it could still come to fruition, but its not looking likely as the present manager has not shown much love to him or wanting to couple him with his Leicester partner. Your better quality point is very much how I feel about Giroud, he is nice, but we can do better.
  11. Haha ~ Still watching games wearing a blindfold? ..... Actually, I take that back... You have proved seeing games you can be this wrong.
  12. I happen to think what is most important for this team is to find that goal, second goal when we have our long periods of domination in games, which this season, we have been unable to put teams away. Since Giroud has given us a target man, its highlighted the loss of Costa and what fell off him around their box. It was a huge part of our last two titles. Giroud is nice, but I think we should try for better. I am not a fan of Reuben Loftus-Cheek and less so of Van Ginkel. I have not seen the latter enough this season to be able to say if he deserves another chance. My memory of him was a boy wayyyyy out of his depth who's poor control got himself badly injured. One of the main things I would do in the summer is sit down with David Luiz and ask him about turning out in midfield, infront of Christensen. Would take for him to have the discipline he showed when he first returned. I believe that would fill one of the holes you feel need to be filled. Plenty of other shit, but before ones nails ones bollocks to anything, best to see who is going to be picking the team.
  13. Interesting stuff Cicero ~ Dont agree with most of it, but we do need some changes of sorts
  14. I went to the game last night at Turf Moor and had 2 great days up there enjoying smashing weather & a win, which for a while looked like we would fall into a draw again with a performance much like West Ham at home. It was my first time there & found the home fans produced a pretty good atmosphere even thou they were behind for much of the game. We played a little better than previous games I have seen live of late and seeing us with two up front was a rare treat. Now I know I have been banging on about Morata ( Even when Cicero says everyone was happy when he was scoring before injury, check it out, not me) only having the one foot, running to his left so he gets to shoot with his right and his seemingly need to try and perform a Costa role, when we would prefer him to be just him. He was so average last night. I dont think he has grasped our officials will not give him free kicks everytime he falls to the floor and I believe he has to do the simple things right before he gets too technical in his play. I have said for years new signings from abroad get a free season, and Morata's is nearly up. I have to say he is a worry, especially as Giroud looks so much more at home. It's is going to be very interesting the decision making during the summer what we do with our forward players. I have read Morata threw his toys out the pram when he was taken off? Well I couldnt see that from where I was sitting, but I had a very clear view of him through on goal, on his right foot and Bloody MISSING again. As the bloke sitting next to me who smelt like he had been standing in a Bacon smoker all day, he can only get better. I bloody hope so. Other than that, Emerson looks great going forward with a good tight cross each time he gets a window to cross into. I guess we will know more defensively when he comes up against a team who will attack us, which Burnley didnt do much off. Lastly, Bakayoko played much better, but its obvious to a blind man, without Fabregas in there the distribution from out midfield isnt at the standard we would hope for. Still, Baka is another in his first season and we must hope he produces much more next. Wembley Sunday..... Fingers Crossed eh?
  15. United Fan thrilled with Jose's United, losing to West Brom Yesterday. Not a Prawn Sarnie in sight!!
  16. Real good article on Chelseafc website about absolute Chelsea Legend JohnnyB. I strongly suggest any Chelsea fan who isnt old enough to have seen him battle his way into the first 11 each season after being left out at the start to take time to have a little read about him. Just the 409 appearances ~ Proper Chelsea https://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2018/04/home-and-away--john-bumstead.html
  17. Oh there is no doubt, in his own age group he is something very special, however, thats the key, own age group. I have followed our youth program since ChelseaTV came to being. It gives us excellent coverage of mainly the older boys, but allows us access to see the younger players from time to time. The main thing I have come to understand is players excelling in their own age group against having to perform against, lets say that huge jump to first team football. We have and have had from roughly around 8-10 years the best youth teams in England. Our boys are taught the right way to play, that is, if you agree with the system. You will find all our boys are comfortable on the ball, bringing the ball out from the keeper and trying to play the ball through the team without oaffing it forward to the CF (Seems crazy as our first team plays best with the big CF). Almost every level of England age teams are full of our boys and those of us who really follow it will tell you its as thou we are capped on the number of representatives we are allowed, because both the teams who won worlds 17's n 20's, we could have filled more places in the squad as we had players as good or better than the guys from other clubs. Now I know the muppets who dont follow our club who have the intelligence to get this far into my posting will no doubt be spitting out their dummys wanting to spout how many make it to the first team?. Well that is really what I am getting at, Talent against own age group ~ making the jump to Chelsea first team level. The best player I saw in the Chelsea youth team was Lassana Diarra. He was so far advanced compared to the other players it was almost laughable. But for Makelele, there is a argument he would still be in our first team. The best player I have seen elsewhere is Jadon Sancho, formally of Manchester City now at Dortmund. He teamed up on the left had side for England with our Odoi and they pretty much were the reason why England got to the World Cup finals for under 17's. I would have thought if Sancho's head can be turned once, be sure it can happen again.. So in answer to your Odoi question? ~ He is at a level I have seen many times come through Chelsea Youth over the last 10 years. I would probably put him on the same level as Scott Sinclair who was head n shoulders above his own age level. He has made a good career for himself, just never been good enough for us. Odoi isnt as good as Gaël Kakuta who we had such big hopes for, but I believe he has a chance as long as they play him where he has been brought up to play. Wide left so he can cut in on his right. I have my fingers crossed for Tammy as I picked him out at 14. Alas the last forward I said had a great chance was Ben Sahar. Seduced by his speed against his own age group..... Must never make that mistake again!
  18. Ok off to London for the 2nd leg of the Youth cup tonight. It's live on Chelsea TV for those of you who cant get to the game. Not like there is anything else on tonight worthy of our Blue eyes
  19. I am not disputing any of the above.... You are right. However, they are not the major reason we are in the position we are. That's down to the manager not being able to handle Costa.... or as it's been put to me tonight elsewhere, he ran out of patients n ended up cutting off his nose in spite of his face.
  20. Read back my old love, I think you will find you stated he would at least improve your bench. Nobody saw his career season coming ~ and without doubt he has been the signing of the season. But, you have to finish above either United or Spurs, so fingers crossed you get through tomorrow night.
  21. Yes, however, they are no better\worse than the league winning season. The difference is the bloke who is no longer there. You can keep highlighting your dislike for the players who you believe are not good enough to play the position asked of them, but they can fire back they were more than adequate when they had an out, who the manager got rid of. Those two you mention are not the reason we are where we are. They may have been found out, although one of them is now a Spanish International in a season you are calling out his flaws. More and more Chelsea fans are seeing through Conte and his role in this season. The media, because it did not suit them did not finger him until now. It was better for them to report a wedge between manager and board. Same old crap they have done to us since the new owner took charge.
  22. Those wingbacks won the league and are still here ~ The bloke who is missing who was those wingbacks major out, isnt. Its that simple. Oh I think you will find I had sussed Morata before his injury, everyone else, like normal, are just catching up.
  23. Lets just make this clear......You dont think the loss of Costa & the managers roll in his departure, is the most damning reason for our pathetic season?
  24. I hope, if any of my fellow Chelsea fans still held a hope our manager is the real McCoy, todays game\selection\tactics should have painted as clear a picture to leave us all without any doubt he is a FUCKING WANKER. As we understand it, the one player we can be sure was his selection, on his list of 3 players he asked for, Morata, is probably as bad as we have ever signed. So the managers claptrap about not getting the players he wanted, must make us think we dodged a bullet or two as we maybe saddled with more duds. In saying that, I always say those who come from abroad get a season. However, Morata really looks bad leading the line. It dont help him he is replacing the bloke who was brilliant at his job. We sure miss him.
