  1. Thanks for letting us all know what hangs between your ears
  2. The stance Conte is taking is no different than Jose all the way back to his first time at Chelsea. For me, this could be sorted by the PL swallowing a bit of pride and supporting their big clubs in a different competition. From what I understand of things, the problem could become worse with Saturday night football (8pm ko) being introduced as a package in the next round of TV Contracts, which will mean those paying for the contract are going to want the big clubs to fill those fixtures as well as the 5pm fixture. I back the manager in what he is stating, but firmly believe he is wasting his breath on the powers at be and asking for help from the media is as laughable as anything I have ever heard from a Chelsea manager, which includes Hiddink asking for help from the media when a "injustice" happened a number of times against Bacelona in 09.
  3. Michael Oliver appointed Liverpool vs Chelsea referee. He is a wrongon!
  4. Yes we are being stiffed by the TV companies who again find it fit to look after their own interests over the clubs. It's about time there was a rule put into play to help those clubs playing in Europe, no matter how much they pay to own the coverage. We played ok Saturday, but we must take into count how poor West Brom looked. I cant remember the last time I saw a Pulis team looks so weak in all departments. I shouldn't grumble, good 3 points for us ~ Weds most important game of the season so far.
  5. He has every chance of cementing a starting birth at Chelsea. Obviously he needs to improve which I think is universally agreed its in him to do so. Needs to be left alone to learn his trade in our more powerful league than he is used too. Helps his immediate competition for the middle of the 3 position is currently having a tiff with the manager. We will learn more on that at West Brom this weekend.
  6. The only person holding his son back is his son. I have watched his progress since he was 14 on ChelseaTV and he has always been a stand out player in his own age group, but he was and up to now has always been what I call a downhill player. Someone who is above average with the ball, a waste of space without it. Just a little education for all who have jumped on the bandwagon of bashing Chelsea over buying Drinkwater and Bakayoko. First of all, Ruben isnt a holding midfielder. He is best at the front of a diamond when he isnt expected to run back without the ball. Anywhere else in midfield he is a liability & not worth his place in the team. The first damning word about him came from Jose after a game at the end of the PL winning season 3 years ago in Australia. We played there and Jose said Ruben was not pulling his weight and should have been dieing out there for the other players by chasing back trying to win the ball back. Ruben suddenly revealed he had a injury to his back, which I understand very few at the club believed. I almost fell off my chair to those Jose words as it was all I had said this about him from the time I first saw him and while he could get away with it with his own age group, it took Jose 90 mins to suss the same analysis. He is a big guy who struggles to get that bodyframe about the pitch. Kinda waiting for the ball to find him over making himself available. It must also be pointed out that body of his lets him down often. I am not saying he is in the Bale ward of having his own hospital bed, but he isnt far off it. I hope some remember that our present manager felt Ruben's best chance to make at Chelsea was playing up front. Again, somewhere you dont have to tackle back much. 2nd, it was not a manager who held the club to ransom over a new contract a few years back. His father\agent told Chelsea the only way he would sign a new contract, said to be 20,000 a week, would be if he was not sent out on loan and went straight into the first team squad. Chelsea agreed, only for the analysis from Jose to be as damning that you knew he would not start under him. It's only now the bollocks coming from Ruben that he had to go out on loan to save his career is making the airtime exactly when the weak minded are bashing the club again. Twat To be fair to him, he has been England ready (For me its a lower standard than top club side) with the ball for about 2-3 years when you compare him to players like Henderson Lalana or Townsend. Without the ball his level is Crystal Palace and if they continue to offer the performances they have this season, it wont be long before the Palace fans see through him as well. They are in a Dog fight & I for one want to see how much heart n fight is in him? He may well come from a Chelsea supporting family, but up to now I have no time for him and this total and utter bollocks from his father is everything I hate about those surrounding young players today. They seem to forget or more probably not understand we serious fans can now watch them mature through ChelseaTV, so we know who has a chance and who is a kidder. Frankly, if this is the best time to sell him for the most money I am all for it as for my mind he is only 50% of a proper player. We might not get a better chance. I would much rather had kept Chalabah (A proper holding midfielder) over Ruben. Then and only then, if Chalabah didnt play in this seasons Chelsea side could the muppet weak minded have something to bash the club, instead of this unfootball educated dickheads calling us out on something they are completely and utterly wrong on.
  7. I followed Ajax in the Europa League last season as we had a player on loan there and their defence was like the keystone cops. I could not recommend any of the defenders they were that poor. However, although I have not seen much of Davinson at Spurs, what I have seen, it's helping him having better more experienced players around him. I would suggest he isnt the same kind of CH as Christensen and it will be very interesting how they both progress this season.
  8. The news coming out of Cobham tonight is Franco Zola is to meet\interview with Roman on the technical director position. I like this news.
  9. So how much do you think we will get for our starlet Holding Midfielder after all this praise?
  10. This posting just underlines 90% of football fans know nothing about football and 100% of non Chelsea fans know nothing about our players youth system and how we use the loan system. Other than that, top posting Teso
  11. I find Happy Blue a bit Marmite and best taken with a spoon full of Sugar, so maybe we should call him Mary Poppins. He has a irresistible glass half full attitude to all things City which I admire. Along with a few other posters, he helps level out whats shared here.
  12. Wow Lucas, You sound like someone desperate to be accepted by the in-crowd.
  13. Oh no, we are not bitter. Jose might be. Its obvious to a blind man he regrets becoming your manager. He cant go a couple of weeks without talking about something Chelsea and he looks so down when he speaks about United. Just like when he was at Inter, it's us he is thinking about. Looking for a 3-4 million pound a season pay rise, knowing United wont pay it. Already telling everyone United will not be his last job and people in the know pointing towards Paris when his daughters University time ends in London. His son already in Paris watching them over his Dads United team. And then this last month we hear he is coming under pressure from United fans who want him to play attacking football, just like SAF played when there was only one team to beat each year. Everybody knows Jose has a Bus and uses it in away games against other top sides, yet what does he do at Stamford Bridge this past week? He gives United fans what they want and attacks. That's not Jose, that's a bloke who don't care and your very welcome to him.
  14. From what I can find out Emenalo has been sounding out people at the club for some time on leaving and todays news while a surprise for the media n fans, has been expected by the club since the end of last season. He had the reputation with us fans as being Romans spy, reporting directly to him and some say cost the jobs of at least two of the many managers who have been in charge during his time at the club. I dont know so much on that, what I do know he was liked by most people at the club and earned the description of being a calm thoughtful man who would often back those who were under pressure. Lets face it, to survive as long as he did, he must have impressed Roman.# Reading between the lines of the many columns written since the news broke, most believe he is knackered, wants out of football to recover. Others believe he has been head hunted elsewhere. Many question need to be answered including, does this mean Conte has strengthened his position?
  15. Ok, I can understand that. I must say, he isnt the only player who I point out regular their faults. Our new CF has more holes in him than Christensen from my bullets of observations of his performances. Currently he is my pet hate, however the upside to him is huge so as he gets better, which I am sure he will, my praise will follow. Great header Sunday, laughable other chances, but worked so hard during the game, looking better. Cesc gave him some stick which was on the money. I like your half full kinda guy description and as I have said before, I admire your nailing yourself to Christensen. I am sure he will be fine and as you say, could well get a run in the team if the words between Luiz n manager bare true.
  16. I have said many times I truly hope he does have a wonderful career as a mainstay of our defence. I just have to be a realist in evaluating his performances & cant state something he isnt. Fingers crossed for him thou & one hopes he isnt the only player we have loaned out as a youngster to becomes a regular.
  17. So you found a couple of polls where Christensen came top... Tackle by CH, Most Aerial duels. How about he came top of most mistakes leading to golden chances for United to score? Oh, and if you cant see the midfield three being a huge factor in making his life easier then there is no hope for you. He had a easier night because our midfield dominated the game, but he still managed to allow two of their best 3 chances as a direct result of his poor defending. Watch the game again and tell me what you think of his defending for Lukaku and Fellaini chances. You have to forgive me, I am not one to watch every other game on TV if Chelsea are not involved, However I do have enough about me to give a true understanding of how good 21 year old Christensen is and I do know that 21 year old you said was at Nottingham Forest was voted Chelsea player of the year when he was 21. I am not going to argue the toss with you. You have nailed your nuts to him and I admire your confidence. I just ask you to take a chill pill and allow him to earn your unwavering praise with better performances than Sundays, cause as others have agreed in this thread, he got away with a couple of mistakes that were punished by Roma.
  18. Top Paragraph: You dont mention the word defend once. Everything you mention is while he has the ball at his feet. The most important thing is Defenders defend!!!!! You can have all the pretty boys you like. I want someone who defends first looks pretty 2nd. Middle: Well one could say you turn a blind eye to every mistake he makes in a game and only offer what suits your opinion on his class. Matic last season was covered by Kante in almost every game and by the last 3rd of that season Matic was left on the bench often. Matic on his return was very good, however he continued to get slower n covered less ground. Plus, it dont help him that muppets cant believe we sold him to United. Yesterday showed why. Last paragraph. This is about your fixation with Christensen and my realist analysis of his performances. There is alot there to admire with his wonderful potential easy to see, but there is also a flipside to him which was exposed by a big centre forward against Roma and yesterday there was enough to see he was very lucky. You are blind to that, but thats ok. As I have said before, none will be more happy than I if he proves to be a linchpin of our defence for years to come. Your 21 year old claim...... John Terry was 5x the 21 year old defender. But that was John, Defender first, pretty boy 2nd.
  19. Well I wouldn’t be swinging my dick above my head on Christensen. He made a ton of mistakes throughout the game, but unlike the Roma at home game, this time luck was with him and he got away with it. Just off the top of my head, he allowed Lukaku to turn by being a country mile away from him, turning the one way he always turns n forced the keeper into a great save. Terrible defending! Then up the other end he has what must be called a free header to score and he shoulders it. Fucking useless. Then his worse mistake of the game. United with their manager who has moved on from the previous managers trick of bringing Fellaini on in a forward position (Maybe not) when they are behind, had Bailey launch the ball forward aimed at Fellaini and Christensen completely loses the flight of the ball and jumps far too early allowing the ball to find its target who brings out another great save out of our keeper. When you add the free kick he gave away which Rashford had deflected over the bar in injury time, you can safely say young Christensen walked off the pitch far more lucky than he did against Roma. You guys are far too easily pleased. I was at the game which was electric at times and I must say we deserved the win by a much bigger margin. He may have scored the winner, but our new CF isn’t what I would call a natural finisher. I understand Fabregas took the piss out of him on the amount of chances he blew in an interview after the game? I shall watch it soon. Great win and I guess there is now a case to call us Kante’s team. Wonderful player & his workrate alongside Bakayoko, who in turn showed why our worst player last season is now wearing Red, allowed the beautiful Magic hat wearer Fabregas to have probably his best game of the season.
  20. Did anyone put their name to this at the Telegraph Stan, or is it a Newspaper Hatchet job?
  21. I think its a Northern look Gary thought he had left behind
  22. Well I have sat through the Roma game a few times now and I must stress my first thought after the game. Roma are not a great side. So what went wrong? The early first goal, a touch of a worldy about it (Alonso sleeping or just too slow) which stunned the players, but we were soon bossing the game n making chances. Infact, we had a great chance before they scored. It's those failures to take the chances we created which I believe had the biggest baring on the first half score. By the time our defence had given them another goal, you could argue we had been the better side in the first half. It's the 2nd half performance which needs to be highlighted as not good enough. As I was sitting through it watching us give the ball away with extremely poor passing I got the impression the players were going through the motions, kinda sussing the game had no meaning from this point.... Lets save ourselves for the next game. That for me is part of the problem, we actually walked off the pitch still in pole position to get through and come the next game, a win will make the Roma game truly a nothing game. Couple of things I would like to bring up. The manager keeps changing the defence, or at least, playing the guys in different positions. Not sure why Cahill was moved across the backline. There was no reason for that and sods law, 2 goals coming from the left side. Rudiger is living up to his name of having a mistake in him far too often and Dave is making more n more mistakes. He too will benefit from playing in the one position, for me that should be right wing back (As he was on the night) while Moses is out, then he would struggle to make the team. He has always looked a 200% trier, almost over rushed, something I think Jose liked in him, but these days he looks just that, rushed off his feet. There are those who would like to see him take Alonso's place, however I like natural left footers. Obviously the return of Kante will help, but we have to hope the manager pairs him with Bakayuko and not Cesc. Cesc is a wonderful player, one of my all time favs, however, for me he is a major weakness in our team at the moment and I long for those late appearances of last season when he walked on n shared his magic. Lastly, Morata. I appreciate the boy has never been an out n out target man. He really isnt Costa and we are starting to see how much we miss the guy now he isnt around. Like Drogba before him, he was a wonderful out. I felt strongly at the time it was the right decision to move him on. It's going to be painful while our young replacement learns his new trade, that is, if he sticks around long enough to do so. Footnote: Being widely reported the managers job is safe and the club will invest in players come the window. We will see.
