  1. I would normally defend Willian, but his performance this past weekend was pretty pathetic. Cahill is a strange one. Not at his best so far this season with Rudiger looking more at ease on the left that Gary. For me, its an ideal time to switch Gary back to the right. We still havent fixed the weakness over Dave and I would like to see it sorted before it costs us again. Looks as thou you will get your wish Cicero with Christensen getting a run in the centre, including Stoke away. I believe that will be illuminating.
  2. I felt it was a terrible performance today. I kinda made my mind up after 20 mins we would get nothing from the game and placed a bet on the draw. I am not sure how many agree with me but I felt the manager was VERY slow to react to the game. As much as I was pleased to see Bakayoko make an appearance in the 2nd half, I would have preferred to see Hazard enter the game at that time. A defensive move by the manager at half time? I think so. I think I have said before, Fabregas, again as much as I love his play, shouldnt start against other high ranking clubs. I understand the manager called it a good draw. I say it was a fucking disgraceful performance which lacked sparkle after the first 10 mins. Lastly, I am fairly new to this board but what I am about to say I have said for years, since this guy appeared on our football pitches. Michael Oliver, referee. HE IS A WRONGON! I have no doubt in my mind the guy plays up when taking charge of our games, and I understand the club feels the same way.
  3. Yes, I understand that, but what you fail to see is the point I have been trying to get you to accept.... the Bundesliga isnt the EPL. We can forget everything he did there, its what he does here will determined if he gets my & my fellow Chelsea fans praise. What we need to see is a home game with just Kante infront of him playing in the middle of 3 and Benteke or Carrol up against him. Then we will know what we have
  4. Look he is a promising player who our manager has said he trusts. It seems thats a big compliment as almost all other youngsters have been put out on loan. So far Christensen was on the pitch for all three goals Burnley scored against us and in the next game the manager played 3 holding midfielders infront of him at Wembley. Last nights game was a non event. For me he has been bang average and does not deserve the plaudits you pour on him each week. Lets wait n see. I have my fingers crossed for him n truly want him to make it at our club, but FFS, let the boy earn your praise.
  5. Yeah, its all the holding midfielders the manager plays infront of him protecting his ass Mr. Blobby could have played in the centre of our defence last night.... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for anyone who played to be highlighted
  6. Enjoyed last nights game, but it was probably against one of the weakest teams the competition has seen in a long while. Manager did well with his resting of players which we all hope will add to a positive result against Thursday Cup entrants Arsenal at the weekend.
  7. Far too intelligent for a Football board ~ Go stand in the corner
  8. For well over a couple of decades my Spurs friends referred to themselves as the "Y" word Army, spinning our & almost all club fans reference to Spurs Jewish background. I remember them being particularly proud of that title (Not that they would get a real one) & thought no more of our and others song over any other fired their way. Once football became the new Rock n Roll and jealous assholes who wouldnt take an interest in anything at White Hart Lane before, started raising issues. I think Spurs are more stung by the Willian song & for my mind there was no reason to raise Morata signing & most definitely lyric with the "Y" word. Disappointing. And for our judgemental Stoke fan, it was no more than a couple of seasons ago I sat with Stoke fans watching the visit of Arsenal to their home patch and listened to vile abuse, far worse than anything Chelsea fans produced this past weekend, aimed at Arsene Wenger. People laughing at the videos of fans throwing there arms about in taking the Michael. Shame what they were saying could not be heard. It was like being back in the 70's. Understandable mind, I hear they have only just got Electricity in Stoke.
  9. Todays performance, while at a very good level again, we almost allowed Leicester to get something from the game because of not being able to kill them off during the times we were so at ease it must have been painful for the watching Leicester fans. More importantly, our new CF is getting plenty of nice words for his performances. For me, if he continues to run around his left foot, he will not only let us down, he is letting all defenders know he will continue to check back onto his right foot when attacking. He has to shoot with his left foot from time to time, even if the shot, as I suspect, will be powderpuff, he has to make defenders think he might use his standing foot to shoot. How good a signing is Bakayoko? Today he was immense & when you compare todays performance against what Matic did for us last season you have to be blind or have little football knowledge to see what a wonderful upgrade he is in our midfield. As much as I liked Matic, you can see why the manager said he was surplus to his needs. Good result ~ Crisis club 3rd after 4 games
  10. Christensen is a European CH, not a EPL CH and one can fully understand why European clubs have an eye on his sweet feet bringing the ball out confidently. It's to be seen if he can grow enough to handle playing regular in the far more physical league, something I have a keen interest in watching each time he plays. He is the only young player I have heard the manager say he trusts. As much as I hope he can improve enough to become a proper starter, I am currently of the mind he is someone to be used as a part exchange for a top player in the future. It's up to him to change that opinion.
  11. Spanish Jackanory rag Marca are reporting tonight Costa is back in London. Truth probably is he is still in Brazil. Word coming out of Cobham today is he has been in daily contact with many of the Chelsea players this past fortnight who have been trying to get him to return. When you couple this with Hazards words of hope for Costa you cant help feeling the manager is being... well I am sure I dont need to paint you a picture.
  12. This has been Conte's truth from the start. As I understand it. Jan : Chinese club offer him huge offer. Costa wants to cash in, Club say no. Costa throws wobbly leading to Conte to blow his top during one training session where he tells Costa "There is always fucking something with you Diego, just fuck off to China" Club continue to say he must stay and a agreement is made with Chelsea/Conte Costa and his agent that he can leave at end of season. Rules change in China, so his offer is no longer on the table. Suddenly works out he wont get more money than he is currently getting at Chelsea n changes tune. Come the end of the season Mendes is talking possible contract extension, Conte says we have an agreement, he is leaving. While in Brazil Costa tells club he wants to stay, club are unresponsive with answer leaving Costa to question Conte who reminds him of the promise the club made he can leave. Mendes does not back Costa's words or stance since the famed interview he gives telling of Conte Text. Where we are today : Chelsea tell Costa to return ~ No Costa : Mendes tells Costa to return ~ No Costa : Alleged Athletico tell Costa to return. Alleged National team have told Mendes if Costa does not return to Chelsea he will not be considered for the coming world cup. Added to PL squad, Omitted from CL squad, suggesting maybe a deal is in place for the winter and destination club do not want him cup-tied. Lastly, we have other squad members being brave enough to tease Costa and even the leagues best player admitting he holds a hope Costa will return to the fold at Chelsea. Messy? Just a bit. Problem is and always is with Chelsea, we dont comment officially on any of these type of things which allows the idiot press and weak minded to run with bollocks. My own opinion: If Conte leaves it will be the 2nd manager Costa has managed to get out of Chelsea. No matter what Jose tells us now, it was Diego who was the first player to instigate the anti Jose feeling before the Swansea game. You can only have a cancer in the dressing room for so long and Diego's time is up. As much as I think our manager has a HUGE fault in his make-up, he proved last season he is the best manager around at this time. He needs to concentrate on the players he has, like last season, and give us another good season. We still have lots of very good players.
  13. Someone in Costa's camp needs to point out to him how Adrian Mutu found himself with a 17M bill come the end of many court episodes facing Romans lawyers.
  14. So just the two bodies in the end. Could have been worse and lets face it, this allows the weak minded of the football world, and we all know who they are, the material they need to bash over the head and ask whats going on. Hang on, didnt they do the same last year? Haha We will be fine & I hope, while he continues to be with us, our manager learns something from this summer. For me, he is the main reason for this summers drama. Needs to keep his suit on, show the undeniable passion he has for the game, but most of all, keep his mouth shut on how the club should be run, Something he has been unable to do at any club he has sat in the hot seat.
  15. I see I havent missed much so I am happy I made the decision to go fishing. I got a couple of nice size Cod n a new keg of Ale. So good food n Ale while listening to BBC 5Live. Got one from left field again I c
  16. A signing from left field ~ Someone who hasnt been linked with the club till the last day of the window...... We had two that met that description last season. I would hope all agree, they turned out rather well.
  17. No need to worry ~ We will be fine. I have strong views with what is going on and will share them after the window closes. I just wonder who will be from left field tomorrow ~ It's bound to happen
  18. As I said, AOC wants to play in the middle and Jamie Carragher let it slip as much at the weekend. We must also take into account AOC is an educated man which has probably helped work out he isnt good enough for a starting birth at Chelsea, so it makes sense to find somewhere lower to transfer too who will meet his footballing needs as the middle of our bench isnt what he hopes for. That sounds like a dig at Liverpool, (truth hurts), however, I am not convinced he would get that position for the length of any contract he signs there either & I feel he would need to hear promises from Klopp that we wouldnt give to get him to sign. Of course that starts the entertainment for us if he signs as he ends up back on the wing over a few short months n back to the bench.
  19. Yeah they will come through with the bodies and of course..... I got a Hat!
  20. With respect to the Ox, all of his team looked as thou they had downed tools for their club today. Arsenal have been guilty of many poor away performances in the past 5 years, but I felt today was a new low point. As much as I felt G. Neville was over the top with his mouthing off at the Arsenal players, I would find it difficult to defend them. The Ox is believed to have told Wenger "This isnt a Money decision" which probably explains the £180,000 offer. You can offer as much as you like when you know he isnt gonna accept. Jamie Carragher let slip tonight that the Ox wants to play in the middle of the park and Liverpool would play him there. I wanted to add it was this time last season our friends in Paris sold us a player who proved one of the best summer signings. With news they are expected to take the boy down at Monaco, they really will need to sell a few players before the end of this window..... Now I just wonder for a deja vu moment for us
  21. Good time to catch Everton who looked tired by the latter stages of the game, however, our first half display was at a very high level. Nice result. How about that Willian today.... Its as thou he was reading our thread
  22. Yes, I did raise an Eye at that amount when I read it. He would be a handy signing as he is a jack of many trades and I am sure we will need cover at different times this season.
  23. Much news suggesting The Ox told Arsenal again yesterday he will not sign a contract with them. Did he tell them he intended to sign a contract with Chelsea at the end of his Arsenal deal? Not if you believe media outlets who say Liverpool have made a huge play for him last night. Now I wonder if what Sanchez said, wanting to stay in London, still stands. Surly Arsenal wouldnt sell both to us? I am told if Arsenal look to cash in on Sanchez, we will bid competitively.
  24. John sure was. We were very lucky to have him during a time of very few top notch left sided CH.
