  1. Haha, yeah I know I am predictable. Thing is with Christensen ~ He is getting huge plaudits for his performance at Wembley with many who have been waving their dicks above their head while he has been in Germany taking this performance as proof of what they have been proclaiming. Of course everyone fails to speak of the protection he was given by the manager for his first start. Most teams have one holding midfielder, sometimes teams set up with two holding midfielders away from home. Our new superstar CH had THREE top class holding midfielders infront of him. I would humbly suggest if John Stones was afforded that kind of protection during his time at City, we Chelsea fans would be beating ourselves up on the one that got away. Lets wait n see on young Andrea's ~ Of course I have my fingers crossed for him, but I'll wait a while before waving anything above my head. Oh on Gary ~ He is a naturally right footed CH who is doing a job the wrong side of the defence for him. No wonder he does not look natural coming out of defence with the ball. It's simple basic understanding of the game. He is doing a magnificent job for us and it tires me when I read those who should take a while before offering their views in negative fashion.
  2. CL could have been worse and with 2 other English teams in the next 2 pots, there was little advantage being in pot one. Anyway, nice to be back in the competition.
  3. Oh look another twitter crap account ~ I had actually starting to think better of you Luke ~ But here you are sharing another garbage account.
  4. I have no doubt in my mind he is a HUGE upgrade on Matic who we must remember, saw the writing on the wall and couldnt get out quick enough. Yes I know I must sound like a sad git, but I normally watch our games 2 or 3 times and I would like to bring to everyone's attention to Bakayoko sprinting almost the entire length of the pitch in the breakaway leading to the winning goal in the 87th minute. Wonderful conditioning for a player who had been out for a number of months since the end of last season. I think we found a good one.
  5. Wow, its as thou you are describing Matic on his best games last season and we got 40M for him!
  6. ~ See why we carted off slow Matic at the weekend Mate? Bakayoko, Young Mobile Two footed outstanding engine AND less than we got for the bloke who we didnt play in the standard of games you are winning this season!
  7. Judging by our managers change of attitude & return to enthusiasm infront of the camera, I would say its been made "Crystal Clear" to him in the past week. Baring in mind how we ended the window this time last year, we should be confident there will be signings. However, the standard of those signings are very much up for debate. Anyone here gonna run round their garden with their shirt over their head if Drinkwater turns up?
  8. Well quickly off the top of my head.... In the 2nd half he broke away with the ball from the half way line and passed the perfect ball through to our 70M CF who promptly ruined the golden chance by running around his left foot. In the first half it was his dangerous run across the Tottenham defence allowing the ball to find Dave who crossed to our 70M new CF who promptly almost killed the corner flag. From Willian's free kick in the first half, David Luiz was fouled which allowed Alonso to score. Add in a tremendous work rate running down lost causes and overall high tempo.... He'll do for me over dickhead twitter accounts who rival my last shit in football knowledge. Now I know Willian is a pet hate of yours and I have said before here how frustrating he can be at times, but for now, the upside is enough to keep him around.
  9. One sided ~ You can make a 5 times as long video on the good things he does in every game
  10. Much banter between my Chelsea friends and I with a couple pointing out no matter what Alonso does in the future of his career with Chelsea or elsewhere, his cult status has been sealed with yesterdays performance. He was almost in tears at the back end of last season when an interviewer brought up the chances must have improved for him to gain a full cap for Spain. As I am sure you know, both his grand father and father have full Spanish caps. Judging by his reaction in that interview it would mean alot to him if he were to make it as the third generation Spanish cap. Fingers crossed!
  11. I like many Chelsea fans would love to see Bertrand return. He being allowed to leave was another poor decision Jose made. Word has it Ryan would walk back to Chelsea given the chance to return, however I remember reading during the back end of the last winter window when it emerged Conti was a fan of Ryan, that we would only return if he was first choice Left Back/ Wing back. Shaw is as big a Chelsea fan as you and I. I am sure he would love to escape the nightmare that is Manchester United and obviously Chelsea would be his ideal move. Couple of things. I have taken strong notice of his career since he came through at Southampton and I picked up early that he would suffer from weight problems. He reminded me of Kenny Sansom when he first came through into the professional ranks, babyfaced blubber full back who excelled coming forward and very beatable defending. Obviously Sansom, once penciled in at Arsenal turned into one of the very best left full backs this little island has produced, yet I am unable to say with any confidence if Shaw will tread that same path of success. Next time you get to see Shaw, check out the size of his arse against the rest of his body. It's huge and I suggest the boy will continue to become slower as his career progresses.
  12. Absolutely, point well made. I am sure our Cicero will continue to argue the Juventus Left Back would truly enforce us down that side, but I continue to ask the cost of him over a guy who for me continues to get better, especially as you point out, going forward. Cicero may well have a point himself, however we must question if Sandro ever wanted to come to us? I fear he will drop into the basket of players who have used us to boost their wages. So if not Sandro, someone else from left field with a left foot, a bit like Alonso himself? I hope we do not use Dave left side other than in emergency. Natural left foot is a must.
  13. Defensive, but very effective and a wonderful return to the winning form n heart on sleeve of last season. For those who have ridiculed the decision to allow Matic to join a so called competitor, number 14 answered all. Very impressive! Two feet wonderful engine competitive young and cheaper than the slower one footed version we allowed to leave. Obviously more can be said on todays game, will be interested in other Chelsea fans thoughts?
  14. Well from a neutral point of view, which I am in this case, Sanchez, who went to ground far too often in his defending as well as consistent ball watcher and the rest of the Ajax defence who almost every game I saw them last season, had a keystone cop moment, including the 2 semi Europa games n final against United, which, as I said, was laughable to the neutral. However, if you are a fan of the club, inexperienced is a far better word to describe them. Either way, Any of the young defenders taken from last seasons Ajax would be a work in progress and I would guess, if Spurs are trying to make the leap from middle of the table club to top level, Sanchez should be sent on loan for a couple of seasons as I feel he is at least that long from being anything near the finished article.
  15. His press conference this past week would suggest strongly otherwise.
  16. Well if you are to believe certain media outlets over night, Roman tore a strip off of Conti this past week. I would suggest its true when you take into account his effort in the weekly press conference. Plus, the Cherry line that he wants to still be manager in the new stadium given to only the Sunday written press..... The guy has had a fire lit under his ass. Well done Roman.
  17. Wow, I followed Ajax in the Europa & Dutch league last season and their defence was laughable. As Paul Merson said last night on hearing this news, "Wow, there was LOTS of clubs in for him" Good luck to him as he is a young man, it will be interesting if Spurs, his only suitor, are right?
  18. I agree it was a better view, I said as much in my original post, however, I watched the entire press conference on Chelsea website and other than his giggling fit, I felt he was very flippant with his total being towards the questioning, where's in the past such as last season, you could feel the concentration in his answering. Now of course his understanding of English maybe good enough for him to not have to concentrate as much, but I could see where the Hyenas were going with the questioning on "foundations" of the football club and he allowed himself to talk about four years when its obvious he will be lucky to see out the last 2 years of his original improved contract. Talking of your "psychological thing" he was blunt in his opinion this is not a good time for Chelsea to face Tottenham anywhere. Maybe he is trying for a false sense of that thing.... If I was one of his players.... I wouldnt think that. Anyway, fingers crossed a positive result.
  19. Conte today, while funny and probably the best way to treat the media continually hitting us over the head with the Costa saga, also looked\behaved as thou he didnt really care anymore on everything. A return to work work work as the basis of his answer to anything he could link to work, is far better than his downtrodden appearances this summer. It was interesting his admittance that he tends to make things as difficult as he can for himself. That pretty much confirms all my Italian friends have labeled him during close seasons.
  20. Know the Willian song? Greaves returning from Italy is almost exactly the same just mirrored. Imagine being around at the time. Greaves best goalscorer we had, not a patch on our best player.
  21. Your picture signature ~ I dont know how many years you have been with us, but "Through and though" as a description for Greaves is something you would not get ffrom anyone about at the time he was playing. Greaves can be coupled with the latest weak minded fool..... Lukaku.
  22. Well we can add fucking liar to Costa's talents ------------------- Have everyone noticed, his Agent isnt speaking on his behalf ------------ That's cause he knows the truth
  23. Well that was a very interesting opening fixture for us. Congratulations to Burnley. They obviously caught us at the right time and had an official in the middle who, yet again has stung us with dodgy decisions. To be honest, this posting is less about yesterday and more of whats going on at our club. As I understand, the manager has alienated himself from most of the board. He talked himself out of a contract extension, having to settle improved terms to his existing contract. There are those at the club who are furious with his "texting" to Costa, although he says the text was just confirming what Costa and his agent already knew. What we dont know is, had anyone else at the club told Costa his change of heart towards the club might be met with the same? It seems some of his team mates believe there was. Now I have written here and elsewhere that I feel this situation is all down to Conte. His demeanor during the close season has been pathetic, so much so I have found myself shouting at the screen n radio in frustration. Now I have Italian friends who know him far better I from one season and they say this is him every close season. No matter what his club do, its never enough in Conte's eyes and he gives off this stench of being unhappy. What is illuminating is top hacks are agreeing with my point of view Paul Hayward & Oliver Holt both pointed out this is more down to Conte rather than in the past its been the board over the managers. Someone said this morning Conte is picking problems out of a clear blue sky, a clear blue sky he created which it seems he has some Masochistic need to make things as difficult for himself as possible. As much as I admired what he did last season, I am so pissed at him currently that I fear like most of the board, I wont be happy till he moves on.
  24. Baily is a Penalty decision or sending off about to happen. Lindelof is out of his depth for now. That does not rule him out for good, but this league is not one where you learn on the job if you are at a top club. Bringing along players slowly strengthens my belief you have not improved as much as your former players will have us believe.
