Managed to get out the door without the wife nagging me in case I slip arse over tip in the snow, a nice little walk up to Leith Links bus stop, snow everywhere in the park and the local cemetery.
  2. Keep the photos coming in, sooner or later I will be trying the same.
  3. @nudge could be right, that could be Spica which is in the Virgo Constellation, I am glad she put me onto this Stellarium Mobile/Laptop Star Map installation it completely has me gobsmacked with so much information on it from the heavens above.

Wee Kaiden and pal Sophia enjoying the snow at the local park with our daughter and friends.
  5. We are going to get snowed in again looking outside like 4/5 years ago, this snow has been non-stop for two days and I ended up getting a taxi to and fro downtown for shopping because the wife was worried about me trying to get a bus as its slippery as hell out there so I have been told.
  6. Lovely to see another nation in space exploration.
  7. Urban pigeons are a bloody menace like sea-gulls and crows, they raid bins the lot and you are advised not to feed them, wood pigeons, hooded gulls and magpies are ok as they mainly stick around the suburbs and not so much of a pest, you would not get me feeding urban pigeons or the latter mentioned let alone letting them sit on me. Saying all that, I am an animal lover and would never harm them as some people do.

Managed to meet Peter the French Poodle, (about 6 years old and a real lively and happy dog) in the snow, saw me and run over as he knows I have dog treats in my pocket and he will sit and wait until I give him some like other dogs around here when they see me.
  9. Top 3 for me... William Wallace Gonnae Show Dae That Oor Chilly
  10. Hope you are ok buddy, me and the wife have just had our first COVID jab, the only effects we had really was a bit like our yearly flu jab, only more of an aching body and feeling very tired and dozing off a lot, other than that we are both ok now. Your Leeds are doing well and I bet Lucas is a happy chappie at the moment with Leeds beating Palace last night, keep posting as its nice to have another Leeds supporter other than @Lucas giving us some input on The Whites.
  11. I cant see it getting any clearer tonight but if it does I can (hopefully) spot these from where I live. Vega North America Nebula Gienah
  12. Pity it's a cloudy night full of snow and I don't have any binos otherwise, I could or try and spot these above here visible about 17:35...sigh
  13. Thanks to @nudge I now have this installed on my mobile a Stellarium Mobile Free - Star Map and I will be in my glory when I go outside on a clear night and scan the skies with my mobile and this is what is above us (Edinburgh/Leith) at the time indicated below in the bottom right-hand corner BEAM ME UP SCOTTY
  14. Yes, please, cant wait to stargaze with a pair of binos, better not stargaze though if I have had a few wines, as I would end up seeing 3 moons instead of one
  15. Just had a wee bit of a snow flurry but they reckon more to come, I said "BRILLIANT..." and the wife said "No thanks..." and switched the central heating on full blast. Edit: 8th Feb... SNOW, SNOW, GLORIOUS SNOW...
  16. Well, our son asked me what I would like for my Birthday and I told him something like this would do nicely, a Usugood 12x50 Binoculars with smartphone adaptor for photography, not expensive for him so I shall wait and see. Would do nicely too for stargazing.
  17. Have you seen Con Air (1997) with Nicolas Cage & John Malkovich, another good action movie and I would give that an 8/10, I have watched it a few times.
  18. Under Siege was the bee's knees especially watching Tommy Lee Jones as Strannix the ex-CIA renegade nutter.
  19. All good films but Under Seige best out of the 3, the follow up Under Seige 2 was a little bit of a let down for me.
  20. I feel ok after the Oxford AstraZeneca jab if anything just a few aches but the same as when I have had the flu jab every year, the wife is a bit cautious and watching me like a hawk if I suddenly feel ill then so will she but she has the same aches but a dry throat and drinking a lot of mineral water and milk but as I said to her that is per normal with you. One thing that will be on the agenda later on when I have some lunch is this below...
