The Blades are keen to bring in a new defender before the transfer window closes on Thursday (1 February). Chris Wilder’s side have now made contact with Championship leaders Leicester about a potential deal for Souttar, 25. The Australia international has featured sparingly for Enzo Maresca’s side so far in the 2023-24 campaign. Everton are considering a “surprise” move to bring in giant Leicester City defender Harry Souttar as a replacement for Ben Godfrey, according to TEAMtalk. The outlet reported on their website on 30 January that the Australian international could be allowed to leave the King Power after falling out of favour under Enzo Maresca, and the Toffees are “keeping tabs” on him as they decide whether to let their own exit-linked defender depart. Subscriber RandoEFC+ 7,663 Posted February 1 Subscriber Share Posted February 1 Absolutely no chance there's truth in this from our perspective unless we get a fee for Godfrey today. We've already rejected a loan with buy option approach from AC Milan.
