Michael
I am rooting for Hungary today. The Swiss are the slight favourites, but Hungary look like they have the players to potentially win this match. Sallai, Szobolotszai and Schafer in the midfield can really test the Swiss. While defensive players like Orban, Szalai and Kerkez won't make it easy for the Swiss offensive players either. Gulacsi in goal is a top keeper for Hungary as well in my opinion as well.
Administrator Stan Posted June 15 Author Administrator Share Posted June 15 Hungary should have done better with that counter.

Michael
That has to be a goal for the Swiss, he was onside.
Administrator Stan Posted June 15 Author Administrator Share Posted June 15 Vargas shot saved. Should be 2 up after Kerkez's mistake.
Michael
Big chance for Vargas there. A poor back pass by Kerkez was taken advantage of by Vargas, but his shot at goal was well saved by Gulacsi.
Michael
Orban gets a header from a cross from a free-kick, but his header goes straight to Sommer in the Swiss goal.
Administrator Stan Posted June 15 Author Administrator Share Posted June 15 Nice from Aebischer. Hungary were just backing off for ages.
Michael
A lovely goal by Aebischer gives the Swiss a 2-0 lead! Aebischer struck a swerving shot from outside the area and it found the corner of the net. Great strike that! Switzerland 2-0 Hungary

But Aebischer has been the man of the match so far. It was his through ball that set up the 1st goal and now he's scored from that lovely strike to get the 2nd goal. Michael
Did Pougatch just pronounce Gulacsi as "Goulash"?! That's the national food dish of Hungary, not the national team goalkeeper. Someone like Pougatch, who is the grandson of a Jewish Ukrainian refugee, should know better about pronouncing Eastern European names properly. Michael
Sallai seems like the main outlet for Hungary. He's the player who looks like he will make something happen and maybe help Hungary score. Edited June 15 by Michael
Michael
6 minutes ago, Stan said: Szoboszlai has to take that first time?! Why's he taking an extra touch? Szoboszlai has looked poor so far to be fair. He's not really been in the game.
Michael
A lovely cross from Sallai finds Varga, but Varga's header goes over the bar. That was a big chance for Hungary and Varga really should have done better with his header.
Administrator Stan Posted June 15 Author Administrator Share Posted June 15 Szoboszlai has come alive and created a goal for Varga. Aebischer lost his man and wasn't strong enough.

Michael
It's game on again in this match, as there are still 22 minutes left to play and Hungary have looked lively in the last quarter of an hour. Edited June 15 by Michael
