Dave Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Crystal Palace have signed former Brazil goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri until the end of the season. The 35-year-old played under Roy Hodgson at Liverpool, although he failed to make a Premier League appearance for the club, and has been a free agent since being released by Fluminense at the end of 2017. Cavalieri has been added to Palace's 25-man Premier League squad following a successful trial period.
Dr. Gonzo Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 I remember we had him, but I genuinely don't remember him other than sitting on our bench.
Burning Gold Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Probably the last back up keeper I've felt happy with, but it's a weird one for Palace given his age and the fact he's been away from high level football since 2010. I wonder if they're hoping to keep him around as a coach after his playing career ends.
Administrator Stan Posted March 7, 2018 Administrator Posted March 7, 2018 Maybe Cavalieri could have kept some of these out

The blokes an absolute disgrace. He must go to sleep smiling every night about how he's been able to play at this level for so long. He wouldn't look out of place at any of the bottom Championship clubs.
