Obviously the only disappointing thing is we've lost the likes of Danny Rose, Fab Delph, Johnny Howson, Sam Byram, Charlie Taylor, and the biggest talent of the lot in Lewis Cook. Unfortunately we've never been good at keeping the youth. Pearce was out of contract so it's good to tie him up at least. He is only a kid, he still looks like a little boy, but he definitely took some confidence from starting games and playing minutes learning about the championship. He's with England at the Toulan tournament now with Ronaldo Viera so its all starting to happen for him. Got a long way to go before I'd say he was the real deal but we are showing a lot of faith in this kid. Perhaps where he is still quite raw, clubs like Palace are waiting to see how he develops a further year with us before pouncing. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
