That a non-profit would get less charitable contributions if their reason for existing ceased? I mean, it was more of a joke than anything. But no, I don't think the staff of the American Cancer Society actually wants Americans to get cancer. But I do believe there are probably one or two (or more) directors of that non-profit that wouldn't be happy to see the non-profit close and the end of their tax free moneyspinner die. But that's not a conspiracy and more around the fact that so many American non-profits are corrupt money spinning institutions that make a lot of money from donations by people who think their money will go to more than just ad campaigns and overhead for that same non-profit.
