No vela, herrera, chicharito, or tecatito. Great chance for the youngsters to get some playing time led by Edson Alvarez and Jimenez B|

P.S

We defeated the USA in the u17 concacaf tournament and beach soccer... let's make it 3 out 3 against those spazzos

Did you watch? It was a damn good match for sure.

I don't understand why no Vela....

Here is the USA's preliminary roster. Only surprise to me is that Yedlin didn't make it.

Really looking forward to see Kuwas, he is a fast skillful winger and could cause a lot of problems.   Looking like a decent side now they have convinced a lot of Dutch born players to play for them.

I really liked Uriel Antuna at the U20 World Cup 2 years ago. Glad to see he's doing well. That Mexico side were gash but he was one of the few good things about it.

Mexico's to lose this tournament really but I'm hopeful Canada can do better than previous years.

Canada plays Mexico tomorrow. I can't see a result for the CanMNT but they have some canny players now. Jonathan David had a great season in Belgium, and I don't think Davies needs any introduction.

I can see it being closer on the pitch than other years, but I still expect Mexico to come out with the win.

I won't be watching anyways. Not because I don't want to but moreso because I will be watching York 9. The first of their games I will be attending.

I got home in time for the Canada vs Mexico game, and it went exactly as I expected. Mexico the better team but Canada made it much closer than some previous games between the 2. I always remember the 2-0 Mexico victory a few years ago, also in the Gold Cup and how one sided it was. This was a lot more fought out. For the first time in my life Canada is actually competitive and not Latvia's level.

Mexico had 69% as opposed to Canada's 31% possession

Mexico had 608 passes with a 90% completion while canada had 276 passes  with 78%completion.

That's the opposite of competitive if you ask me . Another easy victory B| cruising on to the final.

In other words, you didn't see the game.

Canada were countering well and got a few chances. It was a lot closer than in the past where they were just overwhelmed by Mexico's superiority.

In other news, nice goal by Guardado...

Canada went out to defend and counter against Mexico. Of course the possession stats are going to be superior for you. Again I highly doubt you watched the game because Canada got a few chances in the game, all from counters including one from Alphonso Davies where he nearly equalized after beating 2 defenders.

Even still all I am saying is it’s not as one sided as it used to be.

Canada was expecting Costa Rica but got Haiti in the end. I think they'll win. Haiti deserve some credit for winning all 3 games in the group but I still don't think they are all that great. I think the Canadians should have enough. Jonathan David better start!

Tonight's matches should be good to watch.

Jamaica vs Curacao (Winner advances, draws see Jamaica advance)
Honduras vs El Salvador (El Salvador advances with draw or by Curacao dropping points)

2nd place finishers gets the winner of USA vs Panama tomorrow.

Jamaica clearly are the better team, and are up 1-0 just after half-time.

Jamaica are the Peru of CONCACAF. Always do well in the Cup tournaments, but terrible in qualifying.
