  1. EXCLUSIVE: Chelsea FC’s new owners could be prevented from paying dividends for ten years and be bound by strict limits on the club’s indebtedness under a package of measures dubbed ‘anti-Glazer clauses’ aimed at avoiding the controversy that dogged Manchester United after… — Mark Kleinman (@MarkKleinmanSky) May 6, 2022
  2. The reports Roman wanted the debt repaid were false.
  3. It's imbedded into the culture of the club. It's why I always bang about European pedigree. There's a mentality deeply rooted in the entire identity of the club which helps rid pressure. I still fully believe if we never won in 2012 we wouldn't of in 2021.
  4. Let them dream Spike. Boehly-Clearlake takeover of Chelsea is now very close to completion. Raine sources tell me Wednesday talks were “highly productive and no alternative options are being explored.”Sources within Boehly-Clearlake say they’ve remained “calm” and are confident they will own #CFC. — Ben Jacobs (@JacobsBen) May 5, 2022
  5. Looks like Klopps new deal doesn't include a pay rise, but only his staff which was encouraged by Klopp. Hard not to like the bastard.
  6. The Times can reveal that Todd Boehly’s consortium has now been granted a 5 day exclusivity period to fulfil contractual agreements. Jim Ratcliffe has been dismissed by Chelsea and Raine, a source said. ( @Lawton_Times )
  7. The duck may swim on the lake, but my daddy owns the lake.

  8. Yup. Bid for us in the past and had done his due diligence already. His proposal is likely the most reasonable of the lot I'd imagine too. What stands Boehly out is his vision in building a team. Believes in efficient scouting and adores versatility in players, something that Tuchel wants in his players which hopefully indicates a long term vision with Tuchel in it. As much as we have enjoyed Roman's spending we have been crying out for self sustainability for years. Batshuayi, Kepa, Lukaku, Zappacosta, Drinkwater and Bakayoko cost the club a whopping £306m which has set us back from competing for the league. Without an owner who can whip out his chequebook and write it off, hopefully we focus more effective scouting and long term goals with the academy at the helm.
  9. Athletic confirming now as well Chelsea: Todd Boehly chosen as preferred bidder for Premier League club
  10. Looks like we finally have an owner. @Bluewolf @carefreeluke @True Blue @Waylander Chelsea takeover: Todd Boehly consortium to be named preferred bidder to buy Premier League club
  11. Reports Ratcliffe is doing this for attention knowing Boehly is set to be announced the winner.
  12. It's the only thing that is genuinely sustainable atm. We are undoubtedly producing talent and getting far more value out of it than what the club puts in. Such bizarre wording that leaves everyone mystified. Bloke owns Nice too so his intentions are unclear.
  13. So it may now be Ratcliffe vs Boehly in the Cup Final. Breaking: Stephen Pagliuca's group have been informed they will not be the preferred bidder for Chelsea — Matt Law (@Matt_Law_DT) April 29, 2022 Sources close to Chelsea sale process tell me the Sir Martin Broughton bid may also be out of the running. But no confirmation yet from his group #cfc — Matt Law (@Matt_Law_DT) April 29, 2022
  14. We "hope" to continue investing in the academy Deal Breaker.
  15. Normally I would shrug this aside but its the Telegraph who are pretty reliable for London based clubs. He didn't make the final 4 however, so why would he be considered?
  16. Ben Chilwell back training with the academy next week. Having him fully fit at the start of next season would be massive.
  17. All three #Chelsea bidders are expecting to be informed by Raine Group which bid has been chosen on Thursday or Friday. [via @TheAthleticUK]
  18. I heard he put in a stake but not buy it out completely. Assuming he was upset at the restrictions they had in place for spreading misinformation?
  19. The 250m on attacking players doesn’t paint the whole picture. Past 5 years of transfer spending has been poor and something that needs to change under new ownership. Danny Drinkwater’s contract is up this summer. 60 million spent on his transfer and wages with only 12 appearances to show for.
  20. Forward issue is a separate argument, but fullbacks/wingbacks are becoming ever more influential. take away TAA and Robertson from Liverpool or Cancelo and Walker from City, and replace them Alonso and Azpilicueta, they are bound to suffer. One is as mobile as a turtle and the other is ageing and never had a good technical skill set to begin with.
