Tammy does have good hold up play. He’s just been in a rut as is 90% of the team.
The defensive issues is solely down to Lampard. Kepa had the third most clean sheets last season and our defending of set pieces were solid.
Both are a massive issue this season
That’s a toss up. I know Southgate rates him but this entire season is a write off for Ruben. I dont expect him to hit the ground running.
He’s just come back from a complete Achilles tear. CHO’s was just a partial.
No idea. It’s amusing hearing him whine about lack of fire power when Saturday was a great time to of utilised Girouds hold up and link up play.
Simon Phillips stating Lampard wants Kepa gone in the summer and might not play him the rest of the season.
Oh joy. Hope Lampard is looking forward to Nick Pope being unable to distribute from the back.
I mentioned in the Leicester Chelsea match day thread that this is the weakest the premier league has been if 3rd and 4th produce that quality.
Its Liverpool & City then the rest.
I don't remember that.
Although, I do remember some people getting upset and called racism when people joked that a footballer who'd transferred from the Chinese Super League may have coronavirus.
The real mystery is figuring out where race and superiority is implied. But then you realise the footballer is black, so it genuinely makes you wonder if the one calling racism is racist themselves.
Wasn’t an issue with Sarri or Conte. (And don’t tell me David Luiz was the difference)
The amount of goals we’ve conceded this season from set pieces is horrific. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was genuinely 80-90%
Because the club and Lampard agreed that they will only pursue the right players who are available at the right time. Too many panic buys/poorly thought out transfers have stagnated this club for years (2015 and 2017 summer windows specifically).
Cavani was virtually the only player available who’d improve us and would be a short term signing to help us secure top 4. He didn’t want an England switch and PSG laughed at Atletico’s offer.
I’m actually glad there’s no activity as based on everyone we’ve been realistically rumored with this month, they aren’t upgrades on what we have or what we should aspiring for. A lot of our issues defensively is coaching and a lot of our lack of chance conversion is confidence.
Think he really wanted Cavani. Other than that, there’s no one available that would upgrade on what we have.
We lose tomorrow things will go tits up by our fan base no doubt.
Tariq Lamptey to Brighton for 6 million. I do hope we include a buy back in there.
Good for him wanting first team football. No way he will get playing time here given the competition ahead of him. Our captain and our best youth prospect.
