  1. The Ivory Coast and Nigeria are drawing 0-0 at half-time. It was a pretty even first half, but lets see if any side can get the win in the 2nd half. Ivory Coast 0-0 Nigeria
  2. These are who I think are the best players from the top national teams in Asia: Japan: Takefusa Kubo and Kaoru Mitoma South Korea: Son Heung-min and Kim Min-jae Australia: Harry Souttar and Jackson Irvine Saudi Arabia: Salem Al-Dawsari and Abdulellah Al-Malki Iran: Mehdi Taremi and Saman Ghoddos Iraq: Mohanad Ali Al-Shammari and Ali Al-Hamadi Oman: Salaah Al-Yahyaei and Ahmed Al-Kaabi Qatar: Akram Afif and Almoez Ali Uzbekistan: Eldor Shomurodov and Abbosbek Fayzullaev UAE: Ali Mabkhout and Ali Saleh Jordan: Mousa Al-Tamari and Ali Olwan China: Wu Lei and Zhang Yuning
  3. Guinea-Bissau pull a goal back through Ze Turbo deep in injury time, but it's too little too late as Equatorial Guinea win 4-2. Equatorial Guinea 4-2 Guinea-Bissau
  4. Uzbekistan lead India 3-0 at half-time and they will look to add some more goals in the 2nd half. Uzbekistan will look to score as many goals as possible as the 2nd half begins, because goal difference may come into the equation, as they compete with Australia for 1st place in the group. The Australians defeated India 2-0 in their opening match of the group and today they beat Syria 1-0, as Jackson Irvine got the winning goal Uzbekistan 3-0 India Australia 1-0 Syria
  5. Equatorial Guinea are leading Guinea-Bissau 4-1, it's been an excellent performance from them and with 10 minutes of the match left, they have surely secured the win today. Equatorial Guinea 4-1 Guinea-Bissau
  6. Yes, I watch it every week, it makes the Prem look like a Mickey Mouse League.
  7. Aren't both governments targeting rebel groups in the Baluchistan region? Not sure how irate the mullah's are going to be, I am sure deep down they are happy that the rebels are being targeted by both sides.
  8. What is this, the best footballer playing in Asia or the best Asian footballer? It seems like this has both. Not sure at all about the validity and accuracy of these rankings either, but Son has to be there near the top, so no objections to him being number 1.
  9. Well you definitely wouldn't want a "Dying Swan" in your team.
  10. A solid win for Morocco in the end, as they deservedly beat Tanzania 3-0. In the later AFCON match, DR Congo and Zambia drew 1-1. Morocco 3-0 Tanzania DR Congo 1-1 Zambia
  11. Lebanon and China drew 0-0 earlier today, while Qatar have just beaten Central Asian side Tajikistan 1-0 after an early goal by Akram Afif. Qatar have won both their opening games after defeating Lebanon 3-0 in their first match of the group and have now already qualified for the second round with a remaining group match still to play. Lebanon, China and Tajikistan are all still battling to finish 2nd in the group. Lebanon 0-0 China Qatar 1-0 Tajikistan
  12. I fully expect Morocco to beat Tanzania today. Lets hope they deliver unlike many of the other bigger African sides.
  13. England??!! You're taking the piss
  14. Saudi score a controversial winner deep into injury time through Al-Bulayhi. His headed goal was flagged for offside by the linesman, but the decision was changed and the goal was allowed by the referee after VAR. The Oman side will be gutted as they played very well, but Saudi played an extremely attacking game in the 2nd half and it ultimately paid off. Saudi Arabia 2-1 Oman
  15. Ghareeb equalises for Saudi Arabia with a lovely solo goal. He took on several players and slotted the ball home. Saudi Arabia 1-1 Oman
  16. Saudi Arabia have been pressing a lot in the 2nd half looking for the equaliser, but Oman have caused many problems for the Saudis on the counter attack. Oman looking good value for their lead with the way they have played.
  17. Kavendji scored a late goal in the 88th minute to give Namibia a shock win over Tunisia. That was a huge win for the Namibians. Tunisia 0-1 Namibia
  18. Oman have taken a shock lead against Saudi Arabia in the Asian Cup, as a penalty from Al-Yahyaei has given them the lead. The Saudis have since pressed and created some chances, but they've yet to find the equaliser so far in the 1st half. Saudi Arabia 0-1 Oman
  19. It's 0-0 between Tunisia and Namibia at half-time, but really Tunisia have had the better of the game and I'd expect them to end up winning this match. Tunisia 0-0 Namibia
  20. Bertrand Traore scores with a penalty for Burkina Faso late in injury time right at the end of the match. Burkina Faso have played much better in the 2nd half and the win is kind of deserved as they have also dominated possession. Burkina Faso 1-0 Mauritania
  21. Chaided scores his 2nd goal of the match to give Thailand a 2-0 lead. Thailand 2-0 Kyrgyzstan
  22. He was the more active keeper in the first half, he made a few decent saves. But I think that with at least one, he made a bit of a meal with the save. For example that shot from a free-kick that he turned over the bar for a corner, he made that reflex save look spectacular, but I think most Premier League keepers would have probably caught it and been in a better position to save it. He has been heavily involved though and he doesn't seem to lack confidence.
  23. Thailand are deservedly leading against Kyrgyzstan in their opening Asian Cup match, but the Central Asian side have had chances of their own in a tough match. Yesterday's games were much more one sided as South Korea and Iraq defeated Bahrain and Indonesia by a score of 3-1 respectively, while Jordan disposed of Malaysia 4-0.
  24. Not the most exciting of 1st halves in the competition between Burkina Faso and Mauritania, but I think that Mauritania have had the better chances of the match so far. I think that the hosts Ivory Coast should go very far in this competition and perhaps even win it. They look like they've got a very good team.
