  1. This loss was hard to take. Whilst the lack of clear cut chances we created was frustrating, and it's been a problem throughout the entire tournament, I don't think tactically we did anything major wrong against a more inferior team. Holding out until our subs can do damage was a fair strategy but the cross for the winning goal was perfect. I think if I was in Gareth's position I would resign. The media have turned and with good reason. We simply should be getting more out of our front four and goals influence the way we play far too much. It cost us against Italy four years ago and it cost us again last night. I get why the FA wouldn't want to sack him, after Capello there's probably a thought of 'better than devil you know' and Lee Carsley may be ready in 2 to 4 years but I can't see him improving this team now.
  2. Munoz, Lerma, Eze, Guehi, Wharton and Henderson all to return with winners medals next week.
  3. I still can't get over that the crowd were chanting USA immediatly after an assassination attempt.
  4. The further we get in a tournament the higher the level of scum emerges. We werent the victims we were portrayed as in the media in 2016, then you had people trashing Ikea and people blocking in and jumping on Ambulances when we got momentum in 2018, then there was the last final we made at Wembley where I've never been so embarrassed to support England and even now you're hearing 'Ten German Bombers' chants later in the tournament.
  5. I've been loyal to Boxpark for most matches, but they would only let you buy one ticket per person in the pre sale and inevitably the system crashed at general sale. So I'm off to a local pub. Starting at two as it's likely to be one in one out.
  6. I think we can win this if we can get to extra time or penalties based on the influence our substitutes have had. It's getting there that will be the problem.
  7. When France went one up I was thinking the comparisons between this tournament and the 2006 World Cup were uncanny. You had a group stage largely full of good games with a high volume of goals scored from outside the area, you had the hosts improve from there pre-tournament form and be one of the better teams to watch, you had teams that looked the best on paper really fail to live up to expectations from a viewers stand point, and we were about to get two teams who felt like they were at the end of a cycle play in the final in a game that wouldn't be a very good watch. Thankfully, France didn't win and were likely to experience a 2012 scenario where Spain are going to be the overwhelming favorites. I don't think a final against Holland or England will be a demolition in terms of scoreline, but if Spain were to lose now, only 2016 would save this tournament being reflected on by the masses as a complete dud.
  8. No wonder Harris and Blitzer keep siding with Parish over Textor. These fees are so mental i reckon he'd have paid a fee to Forest for Hennessey.
  9. Not surprised that De Zerbi has made comments to be honest. You can take the man out of Brighton... The Mayor of Marseille on the other hand hasnt been living under a cave.
  10. Anyone but France. I never want to see Didier Deschamps on my TV again.
  11. For those that are interested, essentially he got off because he's a grass. Whilst i get why taking down bigger fish might get you off jail time or gain leniency on other punitive measures, I don't see how should be allowed to work as a professional referee. Let alone be a referee at a major tournament.
  12. Id be surprised if we dont win an appeal against the use of this referee on a conflict of interest basis given Jude Bellingham alluded to him still being corrupt. I don't know the context of the original incident but I'm surprised his suspension wasn't indefinite.
