  1. I think Leeds are going to win this league by canter now. To be where they are in the table after the fixtures they've had is very impressive.
  2. Norris Norris Verstappen Piastri 12th 45

Both the ref and Anna Jay for me. The ref should have told Anna Jay that she needed both shoulders on the mat before counting. Anna Jay should have also ensured both shoulders were down and actually laid in a position that meant kicking out would have been an extremely hard thing to do. AEW have a real training problem. A lot of the refs are inadequate, and in Rick Knox's case abysmal. Also all I've heard from 'smart fans' is how Anna Jay has improved ten fold after going to Japan. Based on what I've seen since she returned she hasn't improved enough. I remember on William Regal's podcast he spent so much time on one episode explaining how to execute the right pin. Given he was in AEW for almost a year, it's clear that enough people that needed to listen to him didn't.

24 hours ago the AEW diehard fans were telling us that everything was Jimmy Jacobs fault and now everything was going to get better now he's left. They then produced one of the worst endings to a show in a long time.
  5. I went to the Crawley game today. They were doing well with ten men, but once Shrewsbury equalised they just ran out of steam. A bit worrying for them. You shouldn't be losing your home fixtures to Shrewsbury if you want to survive this season.
  6. He's lucky it wasn't more, and pretty appalling that it took the EFL so long to decide on a punishment.
  7. I can only assume they have licensing agreements to release a game this football season.
  8. After the trailer that gave as much information as a perfume advert I'm not surprised. An update patch for the 2024/25 season feels like the way to go now. A bit like they did with CM02 when CM03 was delayed until Valentines Day.
  9. With the Carvajal injury being a serious one, you'd think Real Madrid would now pursue Trent in a more aggressive fashion. Regarding Kelleher, Liverpool fans I spoke to on the weekend all unanimously said they feel like he's always got an error in him. I asked if that's because you have one of the best goalies in the world and that got a missed response. Either way, I'd take him here which is probably about his level.
  10. That's so sad. Thoughts are with his wife, his daughter, Sam and the rest of the family.
  11. Slot said after the game he thought it would be a month, I said it looked slightly worse than that. Dave 1, Better Ten Hag 0.
  12. You know what, I thought Man City were one of the ones that originally voted in favour of the rules. It felt like at the time a move to put a ceiling on a greedy six disruptor in Newcastle. I just assumed it would be absurd to fight something to this length that you voted in, but I guess desperate people do desperate things.
  13. As the 115 charges are historic, this has no impact whatsoever. The big winners in this appear to be Newcastle, as you can effectively circumvent financial rules now by sponsoring yourselves.
  14. Not happy or disappointed with yesterday. Thought Lacroix and Hughes deserve singular praise. Glad we grew in the game but we really should have peppered the goal more when Alisson went off. I dont think it's as simple as its all going down to the shitter because we lost Olise, but not signing a maverick attacking midfielder is already hurting us. The Wolves and Fulham games feel a lot more important than they should but even if we were in the bottom three at Christmas, I'd feel comfortable of survival as long as we're not cut adrift from 17th. Parish panicking in January and a good last third seems to be an annoying usual routine for us.
  15. That's a blow. I've never got in to Ultimate Team so this looks like another game I'll give a miss.
  16. Is the new game worth looking in to? You'd think the last version was the worst version ever based on YouTube videos, but given negativity and sensationalism drives revenue on that platform I tend not to pay too much attention. Are transfers on career mode still ridiculous? Bare in mind I haven't bought a football game since Fifa 21.
  17. To add to the growing lists of concerns, why did nobody in the board room point out to Miles that the new logo looks like either a volleyball or a cabbage?
  18. Yeah, I was reading on Reddit (which I accept is not a beacon of positivity at the best of times) that it looks like they're going that way to chase the number of sales they got through Covid. Which feels unrealistic.
  19. That trailer suggests to me they still have no idea what the final product will look like.
  20. I feel like I've seen this game at Goodison about ten times. We go there with them needing a pick me up, we're not at the races and we leave with nothing. I understand Glasner teams tend to start seasons slow but this isn't good enough at all. We have played West Ham, Leicester and an Everton team in disarray and are still looking for our first win of the season. The excuses of players not having a proper pre-season end now for me. As should this experiment of Kamada and Wharton in a midfield two. Michael Olise is a fantastic footballer, so many journalists now coming round to the realisation now that activating his release clause would be signing of the summer makes me laugh. Any team in the Premier League would be better off with a maverick footballer of Michael Olise's technically ability that can link up play so well. But his absence shouldn't be having the massive influence it seems to be having. Liverpool at home, Forest away and then Spurs at home. Those games in November against Fulham and Wolves feel bigger than they should do.
  21. This case is separate from the 115 charges. This is in relation to a hearing over the summer in regards to the regulations that were established in 2021 when Newcastle were taken over. Which most of us said at the time was because the greedy six didn't want a disruptor. But hey, however you're trying to justify Man City's achievements counting for anything to yourself when nobody else cares because we know what you are. You do you in the corner.
  22. The only warning flag which is probably more yellow than red is the harsh treatment of De Rossi. It may be that as American Businessmen they'll be better suited to English football as we're not as protective over club legends as Italians are. But to make De Rossi manager in the summer and then sack him in September isn't a popular decision. There were protests this weekend over it.
