I told my friends who I watch the big WWE PPV matches with that were interested after All Out not to watch Dynamite unless its a special (ie Grand Slam). Even then they I had to explain why "Battle of the Belts" had one title defence and Flabby Cole lost to a hug at "Beach Break". Every week its just predictable winners with no character building. Hopefully going forward Tony Khan listens to the retired experience around him. There's enough people with a track record of success to create a good product. TNA peaked in 2006 when Dutch Mantell was left with his devices. Five months after Kurt debuted they were chanting "Fuck off Russo". Make the use of the experience around you.

Hard to argue with any of that. I imagine most people would prefer Cody's vision of what a successful weekly Wrestling show should be to that of Young Bucks (and possibly Tony Khan) but he falls in to the same trap that Triple H and Kevin Nash did where he's always looking to out himself over at the detriment of the show. Apparently Tony Khan took a lot of the creative off the EVP's in the last round of contract renewals which can only be a good thing. There's enough experience there with Arn, Malenko, Big Show, Mark Henry etc that he can lean on now that he doesn't need active wrestlers. Not to mention Regal, Road Dogg etc now on the market. It's hard to tell really as Tony Khan is obviously privy to a lot more of what goes on behind the scenes. On face value though The Young Bucks look a lot more committed to AEW than Cody has been in the previous two years with his random excursions to work on other ventures. The tag team divison is a bit of a shame at the minute. You have FTR, LAX, ReDragon, Young Bucks, Pentagon & Pac and Black & Brody. Yet a Boy and his Dinosaur are Champions and they're defending against lower midcarders who they'll obviously beat.

50% of me still thinks he's working the Internet Crowd but so much mental stuff has happened in the last five years I don't really know what to believe. There's been rumours since Covid there were 'Creative Differences' between Cody and The Elite. Hence theyve never been on together at the same time. If Tony Khan has put his foot down then fair play to him.

The Rock vs Roman Reigns was the logical WrestleMania match for this year but his filming schedule buggered a run from Survivor Series. I think the Stone Cold rumours are just guess work. He may do a five minute segment where he stunners Kevin Owens but I think that will be it. His retirement match was an actual retirement match given how blown up his body was. Given what he's revealed since it was a miracle he made it to the match.

Being bought in because Tony Khan botched his announcement and he was in America anyway with Impact doesn't sound like a promising start. Whilst most of the people who get paired with The Bucks end up doing comedy you'd like to hope they wouldn't want to mess a long term story with Jay White, Kenny Omega and The Undisputed Era up. I would have been very happy with Adam Cole vs Adam Page at Revolution a couple of months ago but after Adam Cole lost to a hug with Orange Cassidy I cannot get interested in it.

Big grab getting the man whose taken Brighton from 17th to 16th .

Given the money you have spent I don't think "defying the odds" is an adequate term. You've taken Burnley's biggest goal scoring threat for the past couple of seasons, signed a potentially world class midfielder and strengthened your defence. There's no reason to suggest you shouldn't finish above Burnley, Watford and Norwich regardless of any point deficits at the minute.

I was more describing the weird Wrestling fans on Twitter who seem to be angry about a different subject every day and demand change in as few words as possible as opposed to the term in a wider social context.

Salah Triple Captain in FPL that week then.

Some interesting news since the Royal Rumble... Shane McMahon has been 'quietly let go' allegedly due to his behaviour at the Royal Rumble. The rumours are he argued with Road Agents about putting himself over and upset quite a lot of people with his attitude. Brian Kendrick requested his release, he got it and then signed for AEW. Twitter Cancel Culture then woke up and dug up some pretty outrageous comments he made on 2011 regarding the holocaust, Haiti earthquake and some other mental stuff. Tony Khan then subsequently removed him. I don't really care about not seeing Shane McMahon again. He had his time with the Invasion Angle. Everything he's done since has been pretty poo. Him and Bad Bunny going over KO and Sheamus was absolutely cringeworthy. The Brian Kendrick stuff though, I think Tony Khan has set himself up for downfall here. If you pander to the self righteous Twitter crowd they know they've got you and will claim faux outrage at every turn. The hypocrisy given the actions and comments of Mike Tyson, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Chris Jericho, CM Punk, Justin Roberts and Nyla Rose (some historic and some recent) is there for all to see. We probably will not see The Briscoes now even though they've apologised relentlessly for historical comments and since changed there beliefs.

To restore balance from that last good news story, I've just found out our shirt sleeve sponsor a Crypto Currency has gone in to administration. Having a Crypto Currency as a shirt sponsor was very divisive in the first place. I get the advantages of using Bitcoin overseas given the extortionate rate of VAT but all these other unrecognised Crypto Currency's read of 'Football Index Ponzi' to me and we've already seen with this one the dangers they present. I don't think it will be long until we see a ban on gambling sponsors on shirts and I anticipate the next battle will be with Cryptos.

Right to Censor was a creative pisstake towards the Parents Television Council who were trying to get WWF to change significantly in The Attitude Era. Once they went away there was no need for the Right To Censor anymore. Having Ivory show up was funny to us old fans but when you have a fat Melina, Summer Rae looking 60 years old, brittle Alicia Fox and Kelly Kelly looking like a completely different person anybody under the age of 20 whose not a complete mark is going to be confused as to who all these old people are and why there is so many of them in this Royal Rumble.

Yeah it was definitely a free transfer. After seeing how well Jadon Sancho did they wanted in on the conveyor belt if British talent coming through at the time.

His level is above Arsenal for the last five years then?

If anything sums up Everton's recruitment in recent years it's definitely Iwobi coming on for Nigeria's biggest goal threat Kalechi Iheanacho today and getting sent off four minutes later. Amazing that he still looks bad even at AFCON.
