  1. Yes. He got in with Corinthians in 2004 and then his company MSI expanded to other South American talent (Mascherano, Carlos Alberto etc). The expansion plan sounded similar to how Raiola has now taken a lot of Eredevise talent and Mendes with Portugal (the difference being Kia had it written in contracts hed have control over transfers whilst the others seem like more of a verbal agreement). It all went South with Corinthians though and they ended up getting relegated.

    Lio Rush leaving AEW already.

They initially tried to trademark Gunther Stark which is just jaw dropping.

Bryan Danielson has delivered great match after great match so far. I'm concerned that nobody else may be able to get to that level unless they're in the ring with him. I guess we would know it the format wasn't good wrestler vs jobber most of the time.
  5. Arsenal loaning out players quickly so they could run from a derby match with Spurs should live in folklore. Granit Xhaka's 20th Instagram apology will be an interesting one.
  6. To be fair to Mourinho his tactical approach fell in 2015. For Rafa it was 2009. Hence why Rafa kept following his jobs and failing spectacularly.
  7. At this point we may as well just dock every team other than Chelsea, Leeds and Southampton six points. This season has been such a farce.
  8. Buying back a player works if a player has the right mentality. I understand its a different pressure from Palace to Chelsea but Sean Derry was very average the first time he played for Palace but in his second spell he became club captain and made such an impact that ten years later he's on Patrick Vieira's coaching staff despite having no geographical connection to Crystal Palace. If going back to an old flame hasn't worked for Lukaku, Ronaldo, Pogba etc that's on them. Thierry Henry, Sol Campbell, Robbie Fowler and Juninho all returned to previous clubs and despite not being in there prime didn't disgrace themselves. If you want better examples of players not in later years look at Nemanja Matic, Robbie Keane and Jermaine Defoe

I don't have a problem with CM Punk winning to be honest. AEW needs to stop trying to impress Meltzer, PWI and all these marks and put on better weekly shows. They havent capitalised on the buzz they had in the summer.
  10. I hope Duncan Ferguson gets an opportunity until the end of the season. I was impressed with how he galvanised the squad after Marco Silva's sacking. Expectations have never been lower so it seems like the best opportunity to give somebody that genuinely loves the club an opportunity. Fans would be just behind him as they are with Anthony Gordon. As Paul Heckingbottom has shown at Sheffield United after replacing Slavisa Jokanovic. Sometimes to fix something that looks complex you need somebody from the inside that's worked with the players long enough to know how to get the most out of them.
  11. I think Boris could be gone this time. The photos of him dressed as a burglar in the back of his vehicle today and the lack of Tories at Parliament was telling. The whole culture of politics has got to change. I know there's many MP's who really care about making a difference but there's far too many who have risen to fruition over the last 15 years with this stereotypical Eton Boys mentality that needs to be eradicated for the sake of public confidence.
  12. What was his injury record like pre-Liverpool? I think they should. The days of "Anything goes" as a football chant are long gone.

His parents comparing the way hes been treated to that of the crucifiction of Jesus Christ is quite telling of where his ego developed. I've learned never to underestimate the British public when it comes to using an incident over the other side of the world to push there own narratives and agendas before seemingly ignoring far better incidents in the future. An extreme example would be the protests in the UK after the death of George Floyd in America. You'd expect that same energy when the Dalian Atkinson inquest ruled he was killed after a Police Officer kicked him hard enough in the head on more than one occasion to leave a boot indent but to my knowledge there wasn't anything near the level of protest we had seen befire. There appears to be very much a 'strike whilst the irons hot' approach over here as opposed to advancing agendas through logic.

What's the feeling in Australia regarding this?
  16. If his vision does come to fruition I don't think it would be to the extent of what Wolves did where they abandoned the entire fabric of the club for a new vision. A lot of John Textor's investment has gone on the new academy facilities for example. Benfica will probably drip feed a player at a time and I imagine there stance is unwilling at present as they got burned when they sent Gedson Fernandes over to Spurs and he was sussed out.
  17. Sorry mate, thought I responded this. John Textor has either purchased or is in advanced talks of purchasing Botafogo. Listening to him on the Business of Sport podcast I imagine what attracted him to them was the history of the club, the atmosphere and to benefit Benfica. At present it seems we're his priority unless he can get a controlling stake in Benfica. He spoke at length how he'd rather Benfica loan out players to Crystal Palace for a season to inflate value as opposed selling to another European club and then sell the player on to Man City for an inflated price (ie Bernardo Silva with Monaco).

Hard to Kill was good last night. Storylines have emerged that will get people interested in the weekly show.
  19. The argument is more that the Leeds fixture cannot be put in to the game week where most replayed fixtures are going in to as the Arsenal League Cup game is there. The counter argument to that is the title race is effectively over and it would be incredibly brazen of Liverpool to release the information of false positives when they don't have too If they really were being deceptive.

I wanted AJ Styles to sign for AEW just so we get to see AJ / Omega but AJ knows Vince likes him and this is his final big contract so cannot begrudge his decision. Road Dogg and William Regal will hopefully get roles backstage because that's where AEW need them.

I imagine NBC have had some serious words about how many billions they pay for the WWE rights over the last couple of months. Fox having Roman and Brock play out on Smackdown whilst NBC having a guy with Triple D titties as Champion does seem somewhat unbalanced.
  24. Just like when they won the Premier League, if Liverpool win the trophy it'll always have an asterisk next it.
