  1. Some one didn't get any last night ..the midweek thing i would guess is more to do with cost than anything else and if we had a large amount of day trippers like you them games would be sold out. 52,000 average attendance is big support ..you need to work on them trolling skills lol
  2. I was in school back then it was great, in the old first division we would always be mid to low table so we had no expectations, we lived for the odd scalp like beating united 5-1 at Manie Road, we went around school for a full year after saying to united fans, "what time is it? ..5 past Leighton" We have always been a big top 20 club in England hence why we still have the attendance record outside of wembley but our support is more local and working class, we don't get many day trippers like united and Liverpool (yet ) and the stadium is full or almost full every weekend, our average attendance this season is 52.137 not bad is it? midweek is a different story for various reasons but we get decent number at weekends when family's are off work and school, i myself haven't been to a game for a while, cost's a small fortune for all 6 of us and i'd rather spend that money on my 4 children, especially when i will get to see the game at some point on sky sports, you could say i'm an armchair supporter these days now i have a family of my own
  3. I enjoyed that period tbh, playing other teams for a change is refreshing, going to grounds you wouldn't normally see, good times
  4. If he doesn't win the CL it's Pep's fault, he already has the team to win it bar maybe a real striker, the rest is down to him
  5. Not in the slightest, believe what you like but i don't care about it, we even boo the music ..winning it doesn't prove anything, same way winning the FA Cup doesn't prove anything ..the League title is all that matters
  6. Think Pep's dream is to win the CL where City fans are not that bothered, the league games are sold out or close to it, just no real interest in midweek CL games on less it's against a top team
  7. Kevin Parker, the general secretary of City's official supporters' club, told British media he was surprised by Guardiola's comments. "He doesn't understand the difficulties that some people might have getting to a game at the Etihad on a Wednesday evening at 8:00 p.m. [BST]," Parker said. "They have got kids to think of, they might not be able to afford it, there are still some COVID issues about... I don't see why he comments on it. "He's absolutely the best coach in the world but, in the nicest possible way, I think maybe he should stick to that." Manchester City fans were unhappy about Pep Guardiola's comments around their support. City return to Premier League action when they host Southampton on Saturday and Parker said there was no doubt the stadium will be full. "Of course he would want a full house but I don't know why he would question whether we'd have one against Southampton," Parker added. "It is a different scenario. "We have played two Saturday home games and the stadium -- from a City perspective at least -- was full on both occasions. I don't think anybody anywhere within the club should be questioning the loyalty of the supporters. It is frustrating."
  8. They will probably get bricked on the way home though
  9. Who holds the attendance record outside of wembley? and City has always been a big club
  10. I’m reading a book about anti-gravity. It’s impossible to put down
  11. Keep it up but don't starve yourself, you will get initial results but your body will adapt and lower your set point to compensate, dieting doesn't have to be miserable ..i would drop the toast for breakfast and eat eggs, the breakfast of champions omelet or boiled with some spinach & tomato's and for dinner eat something like steak & peppers, chicken or fish with veggies something like that, get your carbs mostly from vegetables if fat loss and health is your goal, keep your insulin low, add some fasting into your routine, i eat from 12pm to 4pm and that's it, you don't have to go that extreme, you could do 8am to 4pm to start. watch this video This is what I had yesterday. replace your sugar for stevia and cook in olive oil
  12. Mo Salah wants a staggering £500,000 a week to extend his stay with Liverpool. The 29-year-old is already one of the biggest earners at Anfield – a reward for continually ending up on top of the club’s scoring charts https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/mo-salah-liverpool-transfer-news-24909896
  13. John, if you want to lose weight dont eat foods that Spike insulin really high, when insulin is spiked you are in fat storage mode making it harder to lose fat. watch that video I posted above. if you can eat your meals in a 4hr window too that has alot of health benefits fasting 20hrs a day which you need to think about at your age
  14. Pep has had to do a total rebuild of City hence why he has spent so much, Mancini's team got too old and needed replacing, Fernandinho is the last survivor of the pre Pep era
  15. He did it with a load of youth players at Barca but guess it's easier to buy the players you want but you still need to get them playing as a team, money doesn't guarantee success, look at united, they have spent a fortune in the last few seasons
  16. No Harry Kane or Cristiano Ronaldo leaves door open for Liam Delap, Manchester City’s teenage ‘wrecking ball’ Paul Hirst Thursday September 02 2021, 12.00pm, The Times Having access to matches last season was a huge privilege, but the match-day experience One interesting snippet overheard during Manchester City’s Carabao Cup win over Bournemouth came from the vast team of analysts who furnish Pep Guardiola and his coaches with all types of information. “He’s like a wrecking ball,” one of them said during the 2-1 win last September. “He’s like nothing else we’ve got,” another added. The player that the two men were were talking about was Liam Delap, son of Rory Delap Delap joined Manchester City's academy in 2019 from Derby County, impressing from a young age and being capped at several youth levels with England.[5] He scored a goal and set up two others in the final of the 2020 Under-18 Premier League Cup.[6] On 24 September 2020, Delap made his first-team debut in a 2–1 home win against AFC Bournemouth in the EFL Cup, scoring his first senior goal in the 18th minute.[7] After the match, manager Pep Guardiola praised him and confirmed Delap would continue training with the first team.[8] Three days later, he made his Premier League debut in a 5–2 home defeat by Leicester City, coming on as a substitute for Fernandinho in the 51st minute.[9] In April 2021, Guardiola confirmed that Delap would be moved up to the first-team permanently before the following season.[10] Delap won his first trophy on April 25, when City defeated Tottenham 1–0 in the League Cup final at Wembley Stadium.[11] Delap, however, was not selected for the squad and instead had to follow the match in the stands.[12] During the 2021 pre-season, Delap suffered an injury to his foot, which led to him missing the Community Shield against Leicester, which Manchester City lost 1–0, and the Premier League opener against Tottenham, which they also lost 1–0. On 20 August, amid interest from several Championship clubs looking to loan him, Delap signed a three-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2026 International career[edit] Delap has represented England at youth level. He finished as top scorer at the 2019 Mercedes-Benz Aegean Tournament for U16 international sides in Turkey, and went on to play for the U17s.[14] On 29 March 2021, Delap made his debut for England U18s during a 2-0 win away to Wales at the Leckwith Stadium.[15]
