  1. This seems to happen a lot with Chelsea, probably because of the really high managierial turnover they can sense when Abramovic might be losing patience with the manager... and they just play within themselves and not give a fuck. Which in turn basically condemns Conte/whoever the manager is at the time to shit performances and results... leading to a sacking.
  2. Apparently Juve have officially opened talks with Can. I know some want him to say, but I don't particularly rate him too much. Great physical attributes, totally shite football brain. Players like him and Wijnaldum are inconsistent and make our midfield soft as shite more often than not - yet all seems forgiven when they have their one odd good game every 3 or 4 matches. So I won't be too sad if Can goes - although we're now looking a lot like we were before the summer. Desperately in need of depth but also needing improvement in the first team generally. It really feels like a total lack of planning from the people who are in charge of doing that shit from the club, and from the way the VVD transfer was handled from the summer until now + the way the Coutinho saga played out & our reluctance to sign any replacements... sort of really kills the feel good feeling around the club.
  3. He's had some good moments but a lot of really shit ones too. A cheaper yet slightly better Lovren for us, really. Both probably shouldn't be starting in our system. I don't particularly think Klavan is good either. But on form, he's probably been our best CB this season. That might not count for a lot, but it indicates he should start over Matip and Lovren.
  4. Fuck Lovren and Matip, VVD + Klavan from now on please. Also if Milner can play at right back instead of those 2 shite kids... and Mignolet relegated to 3rd (or lower choice) then I'll be much happier.

Just got tickets to see Slayer on their final world tour - also seeing Behemoth, Testament and Lamb of God at the same show. Apparently Anthrax is on all of the US dates outside of California though - kinda lame we don't get them too. Pretty good lineup though. Testament are underrated:
  6. A friend of mine convinced me to buy Mutant Football League to play with him. Pretty cheap for a very fun game - it's an American football game. But you have 7 players on a side at any given moment in time. You can also beat the shit out of the players after each play - and you can actually kill players on the other side. If you kill enough players, you can win the game by making the other team forfeit. You can use things called "Dirty Tricks" to do things like bribe the referee, take steroids, use shotguns, use bombs, and shit like that. All in all, it makes for one of the most fun sports games I've ever played. Definitely the best iteration of American football I've ever seen. The commentary is hilarious too.
  7. Funny fucking track title.
  8. Yeah but it's nice and sunny here I would think he likes it, he sometimes likes to go outside on the patio but then he doesn't like being too far from the door. He's weird.
  9. Yeah I think so. My cat is scared of being outside though lol.
  10. Is there no urge within? B12 is a vitamin that's naturally found by eating animals. I'd argue it's a more natural source of B12 than taking dietary supplements. I can understand the ethical concerns behind not wanting to eat meat - but likening it to slavery is silly. There aren't any vitamins I can only get from eating a slave or taking a pill. Also wouldn't owning a pet be more of a slavery situation than domesticated animals used for food. But cats and dogs in their current state are also a product of evolution. And I think our hunter gatherer ancestors settling down, starting farms and domesticating animals, is another product of evolution. Instead of traveling like a hunting pack, they could settle and form a civilisation.

Here's an 80s French band - sort of reminds me of Maiden
  12. I've got no problems with vegans or vegetarians or anything, but there is this one co-worker I have who is super irritating about being a vegan and judging people for eating meat. But that's more her being an irritating cunt than her being a vegan. I also think there are ways to morally eat meat. The domestication of animals for a food source is a product of evolution and is natural - the shitty conditions some farms make chickens live in, obviously, isn't. But a free range chickens are domesticated chickens on farms, that are allowed constant time outdoors, get to see the light of day, and get to move around instead of being shoved in a cage with a million other chickens and having their beaks seared off. Yes, they get slaughtered and meat eaters will eat them. Farmed fish aren't the only kind of fish either. And free range beef has always been a thing as far as I know. I don't think killing animals is inherently immoral. I think that's a product of human evolution. But I can understand the moral objections to some meat products because not all meat products have the same ethical standards. But I do think that @Azeem98 & @Spike are 100% right that the ability to make ethical decisions as a consumer is a very first world problem. You've generally got to be willing to spend more for more ethical equivalents or do something like go vegan, which might not be feasible in certain places. That's true for other products as well: take guitars for example - I can get a cheap guitar that's got good specs made in Indonesia (I would have said China, but I've never actually played a guitar made in China that wasn't totally shite - whereas Indonesian Jackson Guitars can be fucking excellent) in pretty poor working conditions by western standards, or I can get a guitar made in the US/Europe in substantially better working conditions. But it'll be significantly more expensive. That's an ethical choice to make... and it's going to depend on what you can afford at all.
  13. I totally want him, I've wanted him since that title win of yours. We won't get him though, we'll probably sign Allison who will be wonky.
  14. I'd hope if we can offer him enough money, he'll agree to no release clause. He's a great player, I didn't know how I felt about him playing in this role... but he's been instrumental in our system. Perfect for a high pressing system. I think it's really important we get him on a new contract with either a much higher release clause or getting the release clause to go away.

My neighbor introduced me to a band he said he used to love in the 80s - Manilla Road. They're pretty good, although the first album he showed me the vocals sort of irritated me but the music was great. I can see that one growing on me over time. But the album "Open the Gates" is fantastic.
  16. My dad just mailed me a book he read called "My Godawful Life" by Summer McCreary. It's fucking hilarious... but I'm also shocked that my dad liked it.
  17. Lol Liverpool fans not from Merseyside calling Evertonians Scouse cunts must be the stupidest fucking cunts amongst our support lol. That's fucking ridiculous. I'm sure Moshiri knows some dodgy cunts, as he's been involved with Usmanov's USM Holdings, Metalloinvest, MegaFon... and Russian oligarchs are about as dodgy as "legitimate" businessmen come. I've just looked him up on Wikipedia - his wife is a pretty big deal amongst the English-Persian community. Not saying Moshiri is a dodgy cunt though purely because of some of his investments - USM Holdings has a shitload of worldwide investments - and between Moshiri and Usmanov, it looks like there've been a lot of philanthropic donations in the last 20 odd years. If the council's going to be paid back and this ends up providing much needed revitalisation of the northern docks, then I've actually got no problems with this... although I do feel like billionaires should be throwing their own money in for their own stadiums (but that's a personal and political opinion). For pretty much all of my life, that area's been a shithole. And I imagine they've only gotten worse.
  18. None of my LFC supporting friends are tories, and only 1 Evertonian I know is a Tory - my cunty cousin. Don't know if that's because I don't know many tories lol, or if we don't have too many of those generally in and around Merseyside. It feels like the latter, but idk. I thought that Persian bloke (forget his name) that's running Everton was the head of a consortium looking to purchase the club? May be totally wrong though - you'd know better though because it's your club lol.
  19. I seem to remember we were told we would have to pay for regenerating the area around Anfield before we could expand our stadium. And then our club acted in a totally cunty way and bought up houses at Anfield, left them unoccupied and in a terrible state in order to drive down the house prices so they could get the rest of the land to extend things. So I guess one thing is clear: neither the city council, nor the owners of football clubs really give a fuck about the working class people that support their fucking clubs. Sad but true.
  20. I suppose if the council's paid back over time, it'll likely make money for the city over time. And if it does in fact bring in regeneration to the northern docks that's great for the city as well. But all said and done, it seems odd considering Everton've got billionaire owners. I'm never a fan of giving handouts to billionaires - but if the city does in fact make money off this in the long run, it's alright.
  21. Think of it as mandatory charity for the less fortunate. Honestly though, what a disgrace. Especially as they've got a supposed billionaire owner - no reason for the taxpayers to be funding this. Food banks at every side of Stanley park when there's a game on, growing homeless population, but yeah let's spend millions of tax money on a waterfront stadium. He's a total mug - did you hear he referred Barkley to the police for his transfer lol. I didn't click on the story, so I don't know if that's just a sensational headline... but it's a funny fucking headline.
  22. Phil Neville makes himself look simple on every single occasion.
