Turkey really surprising me so far. They seem very well prepared and tactically disciplined. That early goal helped, but even after that they defend brilliantly without sitting back though. Nice.
Gonna be interesting to see if Austria come up with an answer in the 2nd half.
I think Austria will win this. Turkey without their Captain Calhanoglu and their best center back Akaydin is a big loss. Austria has more quality players in depth. But you never know. Turkey can be mentality monsters.
Well, that was a million times better than the two dull affairs we saw yesterday.
Deserved win for the Netherlands. But I do feel a bit for Romania. They fought well, and were unlucky a few times, like when Felix Zwayer stopped a promising counter attack, even though there wasn't even a foul. But the Netherland's individual class was too much for them in the end. A very improved performance compared to their group games.
It's a shame that either Spain or Germany go out on Friday, when you have teams like France, England and Portugal still in the tournament who play absolute ass.
It was expected that he'd leave. We only triggered his buyout clause so we can get a small profit out of him. The only shame is, that the clause that he can leave for 6-6,5 Mio Euros runs out mid-July, and after that we could negotiate a larger sum. But it seems like Brugge triggered the original clause.
The clause that he can leave for 6,5 Mio was pre-negotiated before he joined us on loan from Norwich btw.
Probably. Saw tons of Belgians in the city earlier today.
Anyway, pretty disappointed with Belgium. France looked far from unbeatable, but Belgium just played too passive for most of the game.
Pretty meh game. Not worth of such a beautiful stadium.
Well, good performance yes, and Spain have some wonderful players. But let's not act like they needed an owngoal to win against an awful Italy side. Tonight was "just" Georgia, with players who play in Austria, Iran, Cyprus etc.
