  1. Interesting post...and I have a few points I'd like to add for context purposes. Schalke got destroyed by the best team in the world, who appear to be better than they were last year. Gladbach lost to the second best team in Germany, and played well, but just didn't have enough. Werder lost to a club that suffers from massive identity issues. Something Hertha are the club that appears to try and bring up youth and play the long game, then the next week they will get the itch, and spend money that would leave you to believe they should be a top 3-4 team in Germany. The point is, I did peg either Schalke, Gladbach, or Werder to go down, and I still don't think they will. If Werder can not lose any players before the close of the transfer window, and especially keep hold of Rashica, I do think they will remain in the Bundesliga. I didn't watch the Bremen match, but I will watch the replay either today or tomorrow, but if what @Devil-Dick Willie and @nudge are saying is correct about the formation and tactics, then I can only hope that this is an issue that Bremen can recover from. I do the think future of Bremen, sadly, rests on the hopes of other teams performing worse over the course of the year. I'm still not sold on Freiburg this year after all they have lost (although they do appear to have done a good job in replacing their losses), Stuttgart, Koln, Mainz, Arminia, and sadly even Augsburg are no way out of this conversation. I still think Bremen have too much talent to go down, and I hope that they do get a result against Schalke this weekend to bring the hopes of some of their fans just a little bit. Schalke were beaten by a scoreline that was misleading to me, as they didn't seem to give a shit after the 4th or 5th goal, which is sad to see, but it's likely that this won't even be Bayern's biggest win of the year with the team they have assembled. Bremen will stay up, not comfortably, but I do think they stay up this year. Would be an absolutely tragedy if they were to get relegated this year.
  2. Apologies @nudge, my phone has a strange autocorrect.
  3. Yeah - the inside shots of these cars looks like a night club, and there appears to be almost no lights on the course so I'm not shocked that it gets wonky at night.
  4. Man, that spinout by #75 made me laugh...seriously looks like he might have have just fallen asleep as the wheel there.
  5. Don't check your Whatapp please, and if you do, please know that I"m drinking a lot since Augsburg win this morning. I didn't say MAX, but I could cruise my VW in there, using my blinker and jamming to some music while going around and around.
  6. Juan Pablo Montoya is in this? Holy smokes he's massively famous in the States.
  7. Most cars don't make it to the finish line? Give me my damn VW and I'd make it to the finish.
  8. How many tires do these guys go through?
  9. Kidding - I found it. Still not sure what I'm watching and how you win. You say you have to be the first to cross the finish line after 24 hours, but that tells me that you could do 2 laps and win as long as you are first after the 24 hour mark.
  10. How can you watch this? I need das link
  11. Got my confirmation today that I am officially a member of FC Augsburg.
  12. My daughter was telling me a boy at school stole crayons. This was my exact response, which she then repeated and followed it up with our famous fist bump...... Then my wife found out what I'd done and now I'm going to need stitches
  13. We'll see how these new players fit in. I do hope that they are able to avoid a relegation battle, but if I had to pick 5 teams that will battle it out, I' might have include them.
  14. Mate, this league is almost impossible to call between 5th and relegation. If Freiburg finished in 6th, or 7th, I don't think I'd be surprised much...same as if they were in a relegation battle. So who knows if it'll be a fight for Europe, or a fight for relegation...no one really knows at this point.
  15. I think they will certainly struggle this year, they lost a lot of talent, and now their GK is suffering from a long term injury. They have brought in some talent, but I do worry about cohesion. Finishing in the bottom 5 is where I feel like they will end.
  16. Agree, I am only speaking to those that have investors.
  17. Unless you are Bayern, I don't think any real investor is going to be thrilled with the 50+1 rule as it doesn't give them complete control.
  18. I guess so. I explained ti to nudge briefly Been doing research, and narrowed it down to essentially 3-4 teams. Took out Freiburg because of their niche atmosphere, and honestly I like them, but never really could get excited about them. Took out Schalke despite their strong American ties, and then eliminated Union are they are a bit too 'hip' for my liking. And then I researched Augsburg, and rather enjoy their climb to the Bundesliga and their attempt at becoming a mainstay. I sent them a research and they ended up emailing me in length about their excitement for my interest in Augsburg. I asked to see if they had an English membership form, and they did and sent it to me, and I said alright..they are in Bavaria, which is one of my favorite regions, great beer, great kits, and so I have my German membership
  19. Well, I did a thing today. Hope it goes through as the banking questions weren't aren't as clear for what we use here in the States.
  20. WarGames (1983) Absolute classic film, and I did find it rater humorous/sad how the way people stored passwords in the film, is still how people do it today (Spoiler, sticky notes). Great film nonetheless. 9/10
  21. As expected after the Flekken injury -
  22. So the most likable coach in the Bundesliga just became more of a legend?
  23. Mind helping a non-German out please sir? I think the first lines says, I find Bundesliga good.
