  1. That's around the time BBC tweeted something as well that a new strain of Coronavirus is not infectious enough to pose a global threat. But then the thing is there are always different strains of Coronavirus floating around. This current one just seems much stronger.
  2. AGE DEATH RATE confirmed cases DEATH RATE all cases 80+ years old 21.9% 14.8% 70-79 years old 8.0% 60-69 years old 3.6% 50-59 years old 1.3% 40-49 years old 0.4% 30-39 years old 0.2% 20-29 years old 0.2% 10-19 years old 0.2% 0-9 years old no fatalities https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/coronavirus-age-sex-demographics/ EDIT: sorry that's as of 29th Feb.
  3. Feel sorry for those passengers on Jet2 airlines on their way to Spain that got told, mid-air, they had to go back because of the lockdown Spain initiated . Although having said that, because of how many cases are happening in Spain, maybe it's not such a bad thing!
  4. Thanks. I hope/think we'll be okay. I think it goes beyond just UK members on here though, not just because WHO criticised UK government's reaction.
  5. US extends inbound flight restrictions from Monday to UK and Ireland in addition to Europe.
  6. Best thing you've posted on the forum. #TeamBourbon
  7. Well no obviously not. That's stupid on a much higher level.
  8. But at a time when there's already panic and hysteria given what has happened around the world I think it was a misjudged thing to say.
  9. Perhaps I wouldn't have liked 'it's just a sniffle'. I didn't think it was a good thing to say. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Just my humble opinion which never seems to be allowed with you Funnily enough when it was being discussed that the country wouldn't go on lock down I came round to the idea of not doing that and shutting down schools because kids are super carriers etc and would put even vulnerable people even more at risk. Telling people they're gonna die was hyperbolic in my oplnion.
  10. My point still stands - telling people they'll lose loved ones before their time is a shit thing to say. Don't you agree?
  11. I know mate. Seems like a right shit show all over the place.
  12. Again I think they're forced in to doing this when you have a Tory MP sending an email out to the party saying all House of Commons events will be cancelled. Alright for them to do that while the rest of the instruction for the country is to carry on as normal pretty much
  13. Oh that one. Yeah I heard about that. Didn't see it but have read about it. Think it was a shit and weak thing to say. Not really very supportive but then again this government hasn't ever really shown that so I wasn't too surprised
  14. Just had the worse news Match of the Day of course is not on tomorrow. It's been replaced by Mrs Browns Boys Live. Terrible
  15. I reckon @Inti Brian for being so cocky about South America. So he goes away and goes to Canada and it goes downhill from there
  16. London marathon in October... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/athletics/51878234 Masters postponed as well https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/athletics/51878234
