  1. Apparently France's death toll includes nursing home deaths that happened over the last few weeks, not necessarily just yesterday.
  2. Yep albeit a tad late as didn't realise it was 8pm already! Seemed to be less people this week but still good to see/hear.
  3. Yeah realised that soon after I posted. Hope that is the case but trying to get every NHS worker tested by the end of the month seems like too long. Don't know if I'm expecting too much there but might be too late by then.
  4. So now it's 100,000 tests a day? How many tests are being done so far per day?

Very sorry to read this and hear of this. It's already a tough time anyway and reading stuff like this, let alone experiencing it, really bring it all to reality. I hope you can honour him when the time is right mate.
  6. Got back in to watching Sex Education again as only watched first episode a while back of the latest series. Decent.
  7. Sorry to hear that Hope you get through it!

    Members Pictures

You look very different in both pictures!
  9. Some cunty pub in Nottinghamshire opened up for a lock-in and got caught. Now the pub has been shut down with license taken away. Thinking they were better than everyone else, thinking they can get away with it. These kind of knobheads will ruin it for everyone else. Utter twats. Karma got them.
  10. Only 2000 tested out of a total 1.3m NHS workers. (not sure if this includes all NHS staff in any field or not).
  11. Did Alok Sharma say there's no government plans for mass testing? Thought Boris and others were saying about 10k a day and 25k a day ?
  12. I wrote the response in a hurry. Had more to say If you can test earlier, it means it can be managed earlier and hopefully treated in hospital earlier. The lack of testing at the moment means that people are having to wait until much serious stages of the virus before getting treatment. The lack of equipment as well, such as ventilators or PPE, must have a bearing too.

    Tennis

It's a shame but it softens the blow of not being allocated a ticket this year
  14. Good idea. Physical exercise is beneficial in many ways and regular breaks from sitting in same place helps. You been able to get out even for a short time?
  15. The effects of not having enough equipment to test etc?
  16. Links to the Peston tweets I brought up yesterday. UK firms not being asked by government for testing kits so they'll take their business elsewhere. It's like the government choosing Dyson to make/produce ventilators for use when there are apparently UK-based companies who make ventilators for a living not being asked to produce them for NHS use...

  19. Robert Peston's tweets are interesting tonight. Michael Gove said in today's daily update that the difficulty in increasing number of tests was due to shortage of chemical reagents. Peston contacted Chemical Industries Association, responsible for UK chemical industries, and they said there is no shortage of relevant reagents. The Association then contacted Gove's office as they were confused and 'stumped'. CIA also said they chatted with a business minister today and there was no attempt made to find out if there was a supply problem. So is Gove lying? Has there been some miscommunication or confusion? If there is a shortage, companies and/or CIA could increase production but apparently they've not been asked by the government to do so. Is it all part of trying to keep cases down by not mass testing, despite commitments made to carry out 10k tests per day. I believe Boris said up to 25k tests will be done per day as well by end of April...
  20. A fever is common for COVID I thought so not sure you may have it just yet? Hope you don't get it mate!

    The Holiday Thread

Anyone ever been to Cologne? If so, worth going for a few days? (Obviously not for now, but much later in the year)
