  1. I don't want to couch in to my elbow. Plus I don't usually use tissues when couching. Too awkward.
  2. They'll kill off any sufferers as a way of trying to eradicate the issue
  3. This is far too complex for the UK to implement because we're all so fucking stupid over here. Firstly, we'd have texts sent to the wrong people, causing people to go in to a frenzy for no reason. Secondly, the checkpoints will be announced but no staff will be there to give out the notices. Thirdly, the random phone calls/house visits will be at stupid o'clock as opposed to times when people are likely to be out i.e. the day. Fourthly, you'd get people taking several photos of their houses way before going out so that when they get a phone call, they'll send the photos already taken.
  4. Not gonna lie but closing the car parks just to make people walk sounds like quite a stupid idea. Not all elderly people walk/get buses.
  5. It's what they use to try and safeguard whatever they're saying.
  6. Missus just text me saying a patient died yesterday at Bristol RI due to Covid-19. If you were out in the shops yesterday instead of not believing us, you might have had a jar or 2 today My dad text me earlier saying a lady in front of him at the tills at Morrisons had six 10kg bags of rice in her trolley. YOU DO NOT NEED THAT MUCH IN ONE GO FFS. YOU ARE NOT FEEDING THE WHOLE OF UK. One 10kg bag of rice lasts for months ffs. How fucking thick can you get?! Really frustrates me how dense people are being right now.
  7. Netflix, by far. I use it more and it's my go-to if I want to look for something new. Not to say I ignore Amazon Prime otherwise I'd just cancel my subscription but I find there's more on my Netflix list to watch than my Prime list. Some of the programmes/content made exclusively for Netflix is superb. I must admit though one of the reasons I'm keeping my Amazon Prime subscription is for when they start regularly streaming football as that's the way it seems to be going. I think my brother & sister-in-law use Netflix more than me though but I find if we're struggling for something to watch on TV there's more options to delve in to something on Netflix.
  8. The lady confirmed she had tested positive on our local FB group - didn't know she had it, said the virus 'isn't that bad' and she wouldn't have known she had it if it wasn't for her pneumonia. Said she's feeling fine. Of all the stories about surviving it and coping with it, the worrying thing at the moment for me is people not knowing they have it. Not through any fault of their own, just that they can contract it without feeling symptoms for days.
  9. First case confirmed in the town where I'm from. Surprised it took this long to be fair.
  10. Good to read. Not sure if I'm being stupid but I thought sneezing wasn't a symptom of this strain of virus and he mentions that the early parts of the illness she had involved sneezing. It's a worry that they'd stopped testing? Is that a way of trying to keep case numbers down!?
  11. I agree. I mentioned it earlier. Got knocked down.
  12. Careful of criticising the government on here. Some members don't take kindly to it
