  1. Got Vardy's book for Xmas, also have a couple of books recounting last season's memorable achievements. 5000-1 by Rob Tanner (Leicester Mercury journalist) and The Unbelievables by David Bevan, a fan-written book following home and away trips right from the start of last season with added bits of nostalgia from yesteryear. Plus me and my brother get a mention in it
  2. why not? Meant to be permanently miserable cos they're losing?
  3. I'd say so. Police drama with David Tennant and Olivia Colman, so for me before starting to watch it I knew it would be good. Becomes very intense at times - the more that unravels in each episode about the crime that's been committed leaves you wanting even more from the next.
  4. I can't stand Arsenal FanTV but this is gold

    Cricket

We dominated England over Xmas/January and now getting smashed embarrassingly by Australia. Such a contrast in form in such a short space of time. The England vs West Indies ODI seemed more entertaining Also can't wait for IPL to start soon.

    Work/Jobs Thread

I used to experience people mistaking my kindness for weakness but even being in this job has built up a resilience to those that try and take advantage of it. I've become more confident as a result of being in this job too. I predominantly deal with the stereotypical housing benefit families (ugh!) and council/social housing estate demographics - you have to be tough to deal with them as they do not like being told what to do i.e. pay their rent and if they're in arrears they don't like being told that either haha. I've been working in this role since November 2014. So glad I moved out of finance for this!
  13. actually missed the first one on Monday but have it on record. probably catch up tomorrow!

    Work/Jobs Thread

*waves* I love it. I'm a Housing Officer for a large local housing association and recently become home-workers (bonus!). Finally found something I'm good at, have a passion for and feel like it challenges me in various ways. And recently been fairly successful at it.

    The Holiday Thread

never been on a 'lads' holiday but going on a stag do to Magaluf in May lol. Absolute carnage ensues. Then going Mykonos in June with the missus. Should be a good summer.

    Tips & Bets 365

ironically posting in here as I've not placed a bet on anything since September. It was ruining me financially as I was barely winning anything and totally lost any fun and enjoyment I had in betting. I was spending about £80 per month and winning a minimal amount out of it. Having said that, and will use this as a reference point, I put a bet on SkyBet in June as one of their specials - every Newcastle league game to have at least one goal in it. Only a couple of quid on it at 25/1. So far so good!

  19. I've recently started watching Black Mirror on Netflix and am a bit addicted to it. Likewise with Broadchurch as new series is out. Suits, Celebs Go Dating, Steve Austin's Broken Skull Challenge & This Is Us also on the watchlist currently.
  20. We have to keep the Australians happy somehow.

so happy that we have a professional footballer amongst us @True Blue I don't like when footballers have nothing to do after their careers have finished. Nice to see David Villa didn't fall foul of this. Full time forum contributor.
  22. Discussion for matters relating to the current champions of the Premier League.
