  1. Way to paint us all with the same brush @The Palace Fan nice one mate.

This is why fuck all will ever change, because people are now wanting Liverpool fans to shut up and just swallow this shit situation, rather than hope that the pressure is kept on the powers above to actually fix the officiating in this country.

Why has he been banned from officiating our games? Does that imply that he is only going to make mistakes when working on Liverpool games? I don’t get what the point is of that move. Either he is up to scratch to manage any game or he needs sacked.

OK Stan whatever you say. I forgot you never make mistakes

I knew what your schtick was going to be when I saw you had replied. You love being the contrarian. Somebody could say “water is wet” and you’d have an argument against it.

It’s all well and good saying we all make mistakes, you’re absolutely right about that. However, how the fuck have numerous people made so many at the same time? They even realised their mistake then made another on top of that by not informing the referee! How can you really sit there and defend any of them by chalking it up to a “we all make mistakes” situation. Must be on the wind up.

Replay operator the only one on the ball.

VAR: 'can't do anything' after they've restarted the game. Common sense should dictate you go back to the restart of the game if the mistake is as bad as this.

The lack of clarity between all officials involved before he restarted the game is terrible. There was ample opportunity to rectify the mistake before the free kick was taken, but they sat there confused with their finger in their arses.

To not even tell the referee even after the restart is shocking. Yes, it may be against their ‘protocol’ but surely rectify a decision you know is 100% incorrect would trump that. Their bosses are hardly gonna pull them up over it are they “lads, that thing you did that saved us all our blushes was a very bad thing to do”.

People like to pretend when it happens to their club that this is the first time this has ever happened. I remember when Rodri got off with that blatant handball at Goodison a couple of seasons ago it was outrage. "If we get relegated by 1 point then we should sue PGMOL". In fact I'm pretty sure Liverpool fans were saying the same about if they went on to lose the title to City by 1 point after that.

Everyone needs to calm down. Yes it's gross incompetence but this is one of 1000s of incidents over the course of the season that will determine Liverpool's and Spurs finishing positions in the table and there will be absolutely no way anyone will be able to look back in May and make a credible claim that a decision made in one match was decisive in the outcome of the season.

I’m not going with the idea of ‘this could cost our season’ but I won’t calm down either because if we do then that’s just us accepting this sort of bollocks. I remember being infuriated with that Rodri handball against you lot, and here we are a couple years later still having issues with referees who get away with constant bad performances.

bad decisions are part of the game,  and it happens to everyone.

    Try harder.

Now they are saying that the VAR thought the on field decision was that the goal had been awarded, hence why he didn’t draw lines and just said “check complete”. The more information they put out, the angrier I am. You’re telling me that once he had realised that the ref hadn’t given the goal, he didn’t think that it was right to intervene and tell him it was a goal? Absolute fucking disgraceful decision making, and he should absolutely lose his job over it.

Looking around at the VAR stuff cos I didnt watch the game. Seen some Twitter accounts defending that Curtis Jones red. About a clear red card you will ever see, leg breaker.

Surely that Jota disallowed goal can’t be right? The stills I’ve seen he looks so onside…what happened at the time to allow it? A foul outside the goal?

Just a straight offside call. No fouls in the build up. They just said it was offside, even though it is so clearly onside. It’s not even a close call. That is absolutely a call made to benefit Spurs, it can’t be anything else.

And now there is a statement coming from the refereeing wankers. No doubt it’ll be a “the VAR forgot to draw the lines, sorry about that one. He won’t be on duty next week.” And then that will be it.
