Let's talk shop here. If we got the Europa League vs a CL spot how bad would that be for this team?

It would be bad for our transfer dealings for one. The players in this squad who are currently feeling demotivated (most of them) would probably feel even more so if we only managed the Europa League. It would be a nightmare all round.

There wasn't many good moments during that pandemic season but Alisson's header is right up there with my favourite Liverpool moments ever outside of trophy wins.

For me it beats a couple of the league cup wins. The significance of the goal wasn’t just for the team but for him after his dad passed shortly before that match. I felt very emotional watching that.

Going to miss Missy Alcock playing Rhaenyra. Fine young actress.

Thought she was well written. Not some cliched, Hollywood woman protagonist that can't do any wrong (cough Rey cough) but a level headed young woman entering adulthood where her hormones lead to promiscuous and controversial decisions that goes against the crown, and a duty she is conflicted in even wanting.

Was wondering wtf you were on about, then read that it’s doing a time hop with new actresses 😂

I am enjoying this series more than the Lord of the rings. Some stuff has made me roll my eyes, but I know we aren’t going to get stuff on the level of early GOT, so I’ll accept it for what it is.

  4. The House - 6/10

Stop motion anthology film on Netflix. Above average, but a missed opportunity.

    Thirteen Lives - 8/10

This was very compelling viewing. Thought the accent from Mortensen & Farrell were a bit dodge, but it didn’t take away from the film.

    The Report - 7.5/ 10

I really like these sort of film. The drama/investigation types. Similar to Dark Waters, though not as good. Still, it’s an interesting film to watch, with a great performance from Adam Driver.

    Buried - 5.5/10

This isn’t as good on a second viewing. It’s maybe in part due to the overload of Ryan Reynolds in pop culture, and as a result I am a bit fed up of his face and voice. Serviceable enough drama, but not as gripping as it thinks it is.

  5. No Time To Die - 7.5/10

Return to form for Craig’s final outing. The action was great, the story was compelling and had a good bit of emotion. Anna De Armas is an absolute dream, her small role was a great addition. I liked all the character, even Rami Malek made a lot from not a ton of screen time. I would still put it behind Casino Royale & Skyfall, but it’s much better than Spectre and Quantum Of Solace.

  6. Drop Trent for Gomez at RB, Matip comes in next to Virgil. Harvey Elliot had looked one of a couple of bright sparks, but he isn’t a central midfielder and we are getting run ragged there. Thiago, Fabinho and Arthur for the next few games, nothing fancy, just there to do their job and stop team running straight through the middle so easily. Klopp says about reinventing ourselves, well then let’s try not playing such a high line, invite the other team to attack and hit them on the break with Salah, Diaz and balls in behind for Nunez.

  7. Everything Everywhere All At Once - 7.5/10

I don’t see it as the masterpiece plenty think it is, but it was really bloody good. Michelle Yeoh was excellent.

    The Fugitive - 10/10

Watched this for the hundredth time, and I still love it. It’s in my top five.

    Fright night (2011) 8/10

The movie is a thoroughly watchable, but easy throw away entertaining horror film. However, it does 2 things so outrageously well that it goes from a 6.5 to an 8.

The film has a level of attention to detail and setup/payoff that is rare in cinema, genuinely on the level of a film like tremors in that regard.

    And secondly

Colin Farrell fucking SLAYS as a creepy/sexy vampire. Born for it. He's a cunt talking about taming neglected women one second, then charming your pants off the next. It's outrageous how easily he kills this role. Elevates the movie.

Just watched this. Agree with everything. Very entertaining.

Though, I’d have to put it at 7/10 myself.

Also recently watched The Lost Boys & Dawn Of The Dead (78). Seen both before many times, and both are 9/10.
