The Roma game was a simple example how a team can lose solely by making catastrophic mistakes. The first goal was assisted by Džeko but that was pure luck hardly any intention, the second was a pub league mistake by Rudiger who should have either get the ball or kick it out. He didn't expect any Roma players to be behind him. After the first goal Morata missed a sitter which would probably change the course of that game. We could have got one closer to the end of the first half but it was 2-0 at half time. In the second our worst performance this season, zero commitment and zero effort. They gave up at half time, okay i can accept that this game wasn't crucial but the defending with three players running behind Džeko and two Roma players free on the flanks what the hell was that? No way we can blame this season on lack of Europe. Professional players have to be fit enough to play two games a season, it's not like we are playing cup finals every week against Barcelona. I have to agree with Cicero on the formation, even at the title winning season i wasn't convinced that 3-4-3 would work long term but it did. However does it truly work now? I'd switch back to 4-2-3-1 we have the players who would fit right in, Conte turned things around last season i hope he can do it this season too. As we all know Roman isn't really known as a man who has patience, not sacking Conte that would be a complete disaster. No clue what to expect against United on Sunday, will it be a good result and a good performance or a replay of the Roma game.

Defense wise we are terrible, the 3-4-3 has been exposed to that extent that we even made Roma look good. All three goals maybe apart from the first were defensive errors. The second one was pub level defending by Rudiger who basically gifted a goal, the third was an error by Cesc who just can't be dropped no matter how shit he plays. The bench made no impact at all, Conte should reconsider returning to a back four since this isn't working. After a big defeat we usually bounce back, but as the bus is coming on the weekend and the team failed to break a sweat for the loud away fans who spent their well earned money to see little to no effort at all. Very pleased with him so far, even tough he is very different from Costa in every way personal and as a player. In some perfect world i would kept them both if Costa wasn't a maniac, i would play him against physical teams and Morata against teams where he wouldn't wrestle them all game long. I feel Morata also adapted pretty well, much faster than i expected he would. He scored 6 and assisted three in nine games which is more than good.
