  1. You’ve not mentioned that for shankly and paisley many of those games were 2 points for a win. Klopp will go down as great but he will sit alongside those two, not above
  2. Pubs are the best thing about English culture, imo. And I mean pubs, not bars/clubs.
  3. My favourite pub is shutting today, it was on the cards before all this as the rent was doubled but I’m blaming Covid anyway. Will end up some cocktail bar full of southern students no doubt, fuck this virus.
  4. People aren’t going to abide such clear double standards. However much we might say they’re wrong, there is an absurd situation where a newly born baby can’t meet their family at the persons house but can down the pub. Even as an avid Tory hater I had some sympathy with the start of this, it was new, chaos nobody had a clue but now it’s just incompetence. The absolute priority should be test and trace. If we had that effectively set up we would be able to manage things so much better. I reckon Johnson will go soon; this isn’t what he signed up for. He wants to office without the responsibility.
  5. Slight change of scenery re the title now. Liverpool can’t play the paupers now, it will be difficult but they have a better chance of retaining the title now.
  6. As far as I can see the Government want people to eat out, drink out, go to work, go to school but not see anyone whilst doing it.
  7. People will just ignore the household bit, nobody is going to stop people meeting their families now. It’s just to make the government look better as if they are doing something. Interestigng to see Sweden now doing pretty well.
  8. Basically you’ll get kicked out the pub at 10 now, not much else changes fundamentally.
  9. Basically it’s tv/sky that’s the problem. That’s when football became a money fix up. Ideally we should have no games on telly and football goes back to being gate receipts only. People want to be entertained from their sofa, that’s why the UK is an obese nation.
  10. I really don’t think Jack Walker, born in Blackburn, raised there and made his money there, is the same as a Russian crook and a Middle Eastern state. Yes, there has always been money, yes there has always been plenty wrong with how football operates but Chelsea 2005 was a new era. It was global power being put into football. Now we have Qatar/UAE and Saudi fighting it out for power within the game. It’s not a dig at Chelsea inherently, a club with a proud history before Abramovich but come on, it’s dodgy.
  11. If you read on I do actually qualify that statement, I agree Man City and Chelsea are just the aids to the games HIV. Still doesn’t mean we should all not want AIDS though.
  12. I think that’s just football now, It’s all ’ don’t get it twisted..’ ’ the streets remember..’ These people should be nowhere near football.
  13. If you saw your neighbours with 10 people round their house? Would you tell the police? I can’t believe anyone seriously would? This government is absolutely pitiful in its attempt to shift everything away from them. In any other country i would say they were bound to fall but in England the tories will probably win again.
  14. He’s spoken to nobody and knows nothing. He’s a pound shop Harry Redknapp. All the pundits on the The Sun via radio (also known as talksport) are the same. Cretins talking bollocks to wind up cretins enough to ring in.
  15. It’s not really any of those clubs fault, it’s the circumstances of the game. The advent of the premier league was at the behest of the greedy 5 (liverpool, Everton, spurs, arsenal and Man Utd), they wanted a league sewn up for the ‘big clubs’. Obviously it didn’t work out for Spurs and Everton who found themselves towards the botttim of the league in the 90s and even for Liverpool. The league was sewn up between Arsenal and Manchester United. The only way to break it, consistently, was with exorbitant investment.
  16. Liverpool have spent and wasted vast sums prior to Klopp no doubt but you simply can not liken what he has achieved to anything Chelsea have. It is far more worthy of praise and respect because they can’t just get whoever they want with infinite funds. The analogy with the public school kid is fair. Chelsea are the spoiled kid, gets private tuition and goes to Eton, well done on getting into Oxford but it is not the same as someone who has to work hard for it and make sacrifices for it etc. It’s why nobody really respects Chelsea’s success. Like Man City/PSG.
  17. Some of their fans are applying. But I’d point to Liverpool fans supporting Suarez racially abusing Evera.. Manchester is a left wing city and a good people.
  18. There’s not really much objectionable reading back. I just hate people who went to private school.
  19. You can listen to it all now, it’s 18 episodes but plays all as one. Definitely do it, absolute genius. He keeps getting better.
  20. Manchester United need to get an arm round Mason Greenwood, Fergie style. Not that I think there’s anything untoward about the way he’s behaved as an 18 year old but the vermin who sold the film to the Sun must be close to him. Need to kill off bad friends because he’s clearly got the ability to be an absolute star, don’t let our rags tear him down.
  21. Ignoring how funds are generated is the key phrase. Chelsea are the public school kid (much like your Tory voting cunt of a manager) who gets everything on a platter. Liverpool have been the petit bourgeois type, have to buy and sell accordingly. Leicester were the street kid urchin battering the public school kids. Which is my dream most nights.
  22. I don’t really know where to put this but do we have any other Alan Partridge fans on here? He’s just released a new podcast (from the oast house) and I think it’s the best thing he’s ever done. In hysterics for most of it. You have to sign up to audible to listen but can get a 30 day free trial.
  23. Tory is not just defined by people who vote for or sympathetic to the Conservative Party, I also include; People who want England to do well in any sport at all. Anyone who wears chinos Nearly everyone from the south of England, apart from inner city London, Bristol etc. But even they need to be tested for Tory tendencies. People who go on gap years. Men who don’t drink Guinness. Anyone who wears a hat inside anyone who owns a horse There are more but I’m even boring myself now.
  24. Generally anti Tory though, which is all I care about. actually let’s get Manchester United on there because the Salford originals are labour lads.
  25. Lampard getting shirty about Klopp in his interview. What bit of what Klopp said was wrong? Chelsea are backed by an oligarch ffs. Public school boy tit.
