  1. Saturday 16th March, 2024 Burnley 1-2 Brentford Luton 2-2 Nottm Forest Fulham 1-2 Tottenham, 17.30 Sunday 17th March, 2024 West Ham 2-1 Aston Villa, 14.00
  2. Football. My god, what would we do without it... Brilliant from Coventry, fully deserved. Robins has done so well there, they thoroughly deserve it. Massive fingers crossed now Leicester win tomorrow, what a class semi final that could be...
  3. Liverpool favourites for the Premier League after that draw, especially if the two end up playing eachother in the semi's.
  4. Lovely and refreshing not to be in here this year. @RandoEFC you done anything new with the place?
  5. That moment in particular was what this fixture is all about. Two of the best in their position going toe to toe. You'd have probably backed Haaland when he shifted it on to his left but Van Dijk made it difficult enough to put him off a clear shot.
  6. In fairness to Dean, he said straight off the bat in the match, that's a penalty.
  7. Van Dijk was top drawer. Bar one moment, I don't think Haaland had a sniff and the way he marshalled the defence and built Liverpool attacks from the back was key for them. There was one diagnal ball he played 2nd half which was unreal. That City goal was geniusly worked. So, so clever and brilliantly executed. The Macallister penalty was supurb when you think how long the delay was between the decision and the penalty being taken. Nerves of steel. I actually think Klopp nearly ballsed up taking Bradley off and putting Gomez RB. Not sure if that was tactical, injury related or whatever, but it nearly lost them the game because when Doku came on, he had him beat each time. I'm sure a man of Klopp's character would have thought they would bring him on and I'd have thought Bradley would have dealt better with him. Great game though, such an elite level the standard that was played at. Be good to see those two battle it out in the FA Cup final if it can happen that way.
  8. 12 games ago, end of 2023 infact, we were 17pts back. Now its just 3, crazy. I never envisaged us getting a whiff of top spot but if we beat Millwall next week by two goals, that's exactly where we'll be. Tbh, I'd snap your hand off for a guarantee of 2nd though. Don't care as long as we avoid the playoffs and go up automatically. Still see us having a wobble somewhere in true Leeds style and the picture will swing again. All to play for though. It was satisfying to see Ipswich capitulate at the death much how they've nicked games that late. They were due to have it done to them.
  9. Got to love FPL and DGW's. As soon as you put Solanke Captain and bring in Bournemouth defensive assests, of course they'd concede and Solanke would miss a penalty. Just textbook isn't it.
  10. There was a lot more uproar over the Leicester one being given in the Sky studio saying it was weak. The Hull one was more unanimously agreed. But then none of them are looking at it with any club bias. A point is good though, tough place to go is Hull with what they done in January. I'm pretty content with that too. Can't moan at making up 2pts in Leicester and 3 on Ipswich. Over to us next Sunday now whilst Leicester and Saints wait and watch.
  11. The penalty gods seem to be favouring Leicester this week. Avoid giving a dodgy one to Sunderland and generously give one against Hull. I'm not shocked, officials in this league are beyond clueless.
  12. Thankyou. Don't mind Cardiff for next 24 hours
  13. Saturday 9th March, 2024 Man Utd 1-1 Everton, 12.30 Bournemouth 2-0 Sheff Utd Crystal Palace 2-1 Luton Wolves 0-2 Fulham Arsenal 3-0 Brentford, 17.30 Sunday 10th March, 2024 Aston Villa 2-3 Tottenham, 13.00 Brighton 1-1 Nottm Forest, 14.00 West Ham 2-0 Burnley, 14.00 Liverpool 1-2 Man City, 15.45 Monday 11th March, 2024 Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle, 20.00 Wednesday 13th March, 2024 Bournemouth 2-1 Luton, 19.30
  14. Massive win that. Think many of us Leeds fans (and possibly others supporting Leicester, Ipswich and Saints) saw this as a potential banana skin. Home team bang in form, Yorkshire derby under the lights, their biggest gate of the season etc. So to win there, especially given how hard it was to break through them in the first half, get the points and put a marker down to the others is pretty big. Can't dictate what the others do but psychologically pressure will be on them.
  15. After the torture that was Burnley v Bournemouth last week (Crime of a top flight fixture) it's class to see a Super Sunday of Villa v Spurs and Liverpool v City.
  16. Must admit, I'm still not fully understanding of the situation at Leicester currently with this hanging over them, can't imagine they need this whilst trying to focus in a promotion race.
  17. Haaland and Bellingham 1 Shot on Target each and each to be fouled once. 3/1, £10 wins £40.
  18. On the plus side, that's Southampton having two games postponed now that will need rearranging. We have a great opportunity to get points on the board and really hype up the pressure on them to get those wins late in the season.
  19. We need a mental break I think. 12 games in 44 days, League and Cup, which equates to a game every 3.6 days. Been physically demanding for the team but equally, mentally draining. This side looks like its carrying so much weight and expectation on their shoulders and you just want to see them play that littke bit more freely. Should have absolutely walloped Stoke tonight, that first half was a non-contest, but we just can't seem to finish the easiest of chances at the moment and its making games more of a slog for us. No time for a break because Sky have us playing Friday night in a Yorkshire derby, just like how we had to go to Huddersfield 12:30, after Chelsea Wednesday night. Ridiculous really but we pay the price for who we are when we have to drop down a league. Just got to get through that game now and then have 9 days off till Millwall just to reset a bit.
  20. Feel like you've had quite a few of those type of games this season, especially away from home, but you've done enough to scrape by eachtime. Which is even more strange really when you raised your game for us only a week or so ago and looked decent. Feels more like that particular performance was more of an anomaly than these one's.
  21. Arsenal could have played that game whilst eating sandwiches.
  22. I know, I had to double check the stats twice thinking it was some kind of sick joke. This game has a brilliant curse over us at times.
