  1. I got to be honest here, who really cares about how they celebrated? Football is about emotions and passion. We are all human. They can celebrate a win any way they like. Some games will naturally always mean more than others. They just beat one of the most in form teams in Europe in a must win game for their season, in front of their fans and it comes a few weeks back from when the same team done them on their turf in the Cup and got to laud it. They've every right to celebrate however they choose as long as they can stomach and accept it back at them when they are turned over. I just don't get why that card needs to be played.
  2. Got to say, Hull had a great window with Giles, Carvalho and Zaroury but equally, I'd say Ipswich have really given themselves a great chance now. I think many (and I'd happily include myself in that) were prepared to write them off and assume with us and Southampton changing they would fade away but they've gone for it more than I expected. Kieffer Moore coming in for example, is great for them, especially with Leif Davis swinging in those crosses and Sarmiento looks handy too. Southampton were clever in bringing in Rothwell who will rotate and be a solid squad player but Brooks is a hell of a loan signing. You can just tell that one is going to work, assuming he stays fit. Would have loved for us to bring in one more but I'll gladly settle for Roberts. I do think we have arguably the best front four when on song so improving that would have been difficult. I know Leicester fans will be concerned by the lack of strengthening and won't exactly be coming out the window with a feel good factor, but they still have a great squad and with the points advantage they have, really should still see this through. They got leeway to have a few off days unlike the rest of us and just need to hold it together. Massive bonus for them keeping Dewsbury-Hall because as soon as someone like Ornstein tweets Brighton are making a move, the possibility of a departure was there.
  3. Dortmund to win, BTTS 17/10 Leverkusen to win, over 2.5 Goals 4/6 £10 wins £45 (Paddy)
  4. Happy with that. Solid player. Gives us that bit of strength in depth we needed. You'd like to think he'll thrive playing with the likes of Rodon, Ampadu and James too, not to mention knowing Piroe also. Also gives us the option to get Archie Gray back in midfield too which is his main position after all. P.S Fair play Wales
  5. I'm gonna say it. Chelsea should have had two penalties tonight, the latter definitely was and I'd have wanted the first too if that happened to Leeds in a game. Liverpool got away with those. But I still don't think it would have made a difference. Chelsea were battered to a pulp. The midfield was swamped. Liverpool were brilliant. They could have got 7 or 8 tonight, easy. Darwin Nunez, I just don't even know where to begin. Absolute chaos that bloke, fun for the neutral though
  6. Tuesday 30th January, 2024 Nottm Forest 1-2 Arsenal Fulham 1-1 Everton, 19.45 Luton 1-3 Brighton, 19.45 Crystal Palace 2-0 Sheff Utd, 20.00 Aston Villa 2-1 Newcastle, 20.15 Wednesday 31st January, 2024 Man City 4-0 Burnley Tottenham 2-1 Brentford Liverpool 2-1 Chelsea, 20.15 Thursday 1st February, 2024 West Ham 1-1 Bournemouth Wolves 2-1 Man Utd, 20.15
  7. Sickening signing to watch your rivals for automatic make. He looked classy the other night in the Cup. Really good addition for them, they are doing the right things. Have to say, whilst Saints and Ipswich strengthen, I'm concerned our lack of action in the window is going to be our downfall. I don't rate our strength in depth as highly as Farke, that's for sure.
  8. I got it off Skybet, that or Paddy P tend to be my go to. Tbh mate, I assumed that technical things like that wouldn't actually count? You know much like when say Bet365 give you like a 15% boost sometimes on top of your bet? If that's actually something you are counting then I'll bare that in mind going forwards, but I guess I'd need to specify its with a bookie that does that right? Senegal fucked us as per anyway
  9. I've just about had enough of selecting PSG. Escape not conceding the other week and then capitulate from 2-0 up this week. Pricks.
  10. Don't get me wrong, Klopp deserves recognition and praise for the job he's done and I get the news is fresh news that people will still be digesting. Yesterday's ITV coverage may well be an exception as it was his first game since his announcement also. However, I'll be blunt about it. Things are going to become proper nausiating if every live Liverpool game from now to the end revolves around a Klopp love in Like yesterday. I sincerely hope the likes of Sky and TNT don't go overkill.
  11. Very good signing for Hull that, they really are splashing the cash to get that playoff place. I said I didn't think signing Carvalho would be enough for them but Giles is quality also and the inconsistancies of Sunderland, West Brom, Norwich and Middlesbrough probably gives them a fair chance of 5th or 6th.
  12. Does make you wonder if we live in a world where Blackburn are able to reject £18.5m for a 19 year old Adam Wharton, how much a 17 year old Archie Gray would demand.
  13. Yeah I like that Senegal pick too but I'm gonna take a punt on PSG to win, BTTS. PSG win, BTTS 7/4 Senegal 13/10 £10 on @5.32/1 wins £63.25
  14. Yeah that was a shocking draw. Suited all the big Premier League sides really. To make it interesting, it needs Wrexham to win at Blackburn really so they get that Newcastle game. That is the one that stands out so far. If Chelsea beat Villa and we beat Plymouth, Chelsea Leeds is always hostile historically, especially given the division gap now. But a lot needs to happen yet for that to work out. If it did though, I think that becomes a very hot pick. Maybe a potential Bristol City v Man Utd game could be an interesting tie. I did wonder with four teams left whether Maidstone would get Man City but that's a really minging tie for them. Sometimes you just don't get what you deserve in life.
  15. I'd be very surprised personally. You'd have thought if Liverpool couldn't get their top 2 or 3 picks, even then he'd not be considered an option with what little he's achieved to date. I'm pretty sure despite being a club legend, John Terry has never been considered as a Chelsea manager yet when the post has come up. I could however see a scenario where if Xabi Alonso got it, he'd possibly ask Gerrard to be on his staff.
  16. How can you guarantee that then? Seems like it's more of an assumption to me?
  17. I'd be gobsmacked if Sunderland sold for £10-15m. He is literally their best player. I'm pretty sure they could fetch double that in the summer the rate this market is nowadays.
  18. To be fair, if you had the choice of Leicester and Brentford given where both are, I'd stay at Leicester. I'm not convinced Brentford are that much a better option. Where as Brighton, I'd have thought you'd have found it very hard to turn down a club that plays European Football and is very much on the up and a notorious stepping stone to greater things. Personally don't see it happening though. Leicester would at the very least need to have to have a solid replacement lined up.
  19. Obviously I wouldn't want it to happen but I actually think a complete left-field option would be Bielsa with the players Liverpool have. My god he'd be wonderful there.
