One way of putting it but it was nice to him smiling and joking again after what he's been like recently. Perhaps it was a psychological thing in part due to the big game coming up Sunday.
-
Yeah mate, he also talked about 'risks.' Hope we're not rushing him back but only the club will know what kind of physical condition Bakayoko is in. Also said he prefers Luiz at the back which also hints at the fact that Bakayoko may play or we may see someone else completely play there.

Yeah mate the only plus or difference I can see with having Rudiger is his athleticism and size, our defence lacks pace at times and can be weak to defending crosses. His temper came out throughout the game, he even walked off the pitch (right in front of me) in a very frustrated mood. Passion is good to see but it's important it's controlled, I'll be very surprised if he escapes a red card this season. Let's hope he does well for us but we should have kept Ake and promised him a future role in the team or made more use of our other younger players and put the 30M we used on Rudiger towards a new wing back.
-
Why was Rudiger signed by the way? Versatility? Could have just kept Ake for that and we wouldn't need the cover as much if we actually signed some decent full backs. Looks like Rudiger can be reckless as well, I'll be very surprised if he survives the season without a red card. Was getting extremely riled up last Saturday which manifested itself in his play but also his reactions to things happening on the pitch. Accident waiting to happen, let's see. A part from that I thought he did well for his debut.

Wow cheers mate, really nice the bit about John Terry.

One of my favourite scenes.

Haha yeah things have escalated quickly this season in that regard especially last episode, less episodes this season I guess. In the earlier days it took characters about half a season at least to travel anywhere. Didn't Jon want to say hello to Arya and Bran before setting off as well by the way? Or have I missed something there?

Courtois Azpi Christensen Rudiger Moses Luiz Kante Alonso Willian Musonda Morata Only option for Sunday surely? Depending on Pedro's injury. A part from the fact we're lacking numbers, missing Fabregas for this game may be a blessing in disguise but he would be a very good option from the bench.
-
Despite the increase in games (and bar a severe injury crisis) I can't see Musonda getting the playing time he needs.
-
Mourinho attempted to sign Willian for Man United, was one of his key lieutenants it seems and obviously we can't sell him given the current depth of the squad but wouldn't cry if he left to be honest, good squad player but nothing more. In saying that, I wouldn't sell him to Man United as he's such a Mourinho player and I feel despite the amount of players Man United have in that position Mourinho lacks someone of Willian's mould and quality there. Willian's overall work rate has dropped since Mourinho left and last year Conte used him (like he did with a lot of players) in the exact manner he should be utilised as a squad player nothing more. For me Willian can grate on you the more playing time he gets, more attacks break down and I'm becoming increasingly more frustrated with his work rate (watch him closely next game) as I know he's capable of much more. Perhaps he has less work to do in this system with the cover behind him but still I want to see more from him in that regard.

Will Moses ever learn how to take a throw in by the way?

At times I can be the first to go against something that's massively hyped but fuck me what a series this is, I genuinely can't believe there's people out there who haven't watched GOT yet. Personally I was let down slightly by last season as I thought it was constantly trying to outdo itself although it was still very decent nonetheless. This season in my opinion is better than the last already.

Suits worth a watch?

Yeah mate, I came in here to moan about the weather and saw your post. Where is summer this year? I know it's never decent for long enough in the UK and people would be right to question my expectations but fuck me the last few weeks at times have been like a random dark day in January or something. We had a decent June but still. The British love talking about the weather so I'm just fulfilling that duty. I love the heat personally.

Tom Hopper (Billy Bones from Black Sails) with a cheeky appearance.

Don't blame him for leaving, he's made the right decision for his career. Hope he smashes it and I hope we have arranged some sort of buy back clause but knowing us we won't have. #ChalobahforEngland

I'd rather see Chalobah go on loan somewhere to be honest preferably in the Premier League, he needs to be starting week in week out. Conte doesn't really do rotation and the youngsters will not be given a significant chance but that's the way Roman runs the club and there's no signs of that changing. His departure would leave us a bit weak numbers wise in that position, Cesc, Kante, Bakayoko?, Matic, with conflicting reports over Bakayoko's fitness and with some questions marks reportedly over Matic's future. I'd say one thing I would drive Matic to Milan myself for the price being reported. I also think it's paramount Chalobah goes on loan and plays regularly in the Premier League if that can be arranged. It's a very important season for him and if he has a strong season he could be in contention for a World Cup place with England especially considering our options there at the moment with the national team. Playing for us in the cups and coming on here and there isn't good enough for him, Chalo needs that loan move and he needs more game time than what Conte can offer him. This would leave us with Cesc, Kante, Bakayoko. In that case, I guess it would be best to hold onto Matic for one more season or maybe use Luiz as the 4th choice in that position but then Conte won't like to mess with his back three. The 4th choice in that position needs to be thought through and of course we're still waiting for Bakayoko to be confirmed (it's not done, until it's done) but regardless of squad depth and other factors, Chalo simply has to go on loan that is without question even if leaves us a bit weak in that area of the squad, his future should come before squad balance for me. This kid needs to be playing, he can't have another season like the last and the only way he'd get significant playing time next campaign with us would be a serious injury crisis to players in that position. Yes, we need to make sure we're covered but at the moment Chalo's future comes first.

Azpi could be moved to Cahill's position on the left, Alonso's height could balance things out.

I haven't watched a player as car crash as Danilo for a club as good as Real Madrid in a long time but let's not forget he was very good for Porto, Conte could work wonders for him. If he was going to come in under a different manager and system I'd be a lot more skeptical but the circumstances here now should suit him and if he can't reinvent himself here under these conditions, then there is truly something wrong. I read something interesting that in a year's time he could be worth double what we pay for him this summer if things work out. I agree it's a risk (considering how bad he has been for Real Madrid, he's been more than bad in fact) but it's one that I'm actually behind, just a shame we couldn't get him for a cheaper amount. Still awaiting Bakayoko who's the signing (out of everyone we've been linked to) that I would be most excited about and again he was on the wind up last night on Twitter. Will be gutted if we miss out.
