This is statistically the most one sided fixture since the start of the Premier League isn't it?

It might be the most home-side dominated fixture or something. About 5 years in a row at one point the home team won both games.

@Stan if it's an FPL question DCL is due back for Man City.

Yep. Now I don't know whether to risk a transfer or let him stay in in the hope he does something against Man City xD

Heard yesterday you've won the last 22 home games against them xD

That sounds about right to be fair. I didn't realise you meant this fixture as in the Everton home games only. Don't say it too loud though xD.

Once again, it's a huge game here. Win and we go joint 4th with Liverpool and have two games in hand on all of the teams above us bar Man City. We won't win our other two games in hand in likelihood, but if we did we'd be level with Man Utd and Leicester too. We've been talked about less in recent weeks but we're still firmly in the mix.

The stupid thing is all of the defeats at home - Leeds, West Ham, Newcastle in particular - is what has cost us. It's not even been an "Everton, that" problem where we've lost games which would have seen us go top or into the top four or whatever. We've played well and got good results in big games. Tonight is exactly the sort of game that's been holding us back so it's bigger than it looks on paper.

Looking at the team tonight we should be taking 3 points here. Time to prove we've learned from the shite we served up against West Ham and Newcastle.

Terrible so far. For fuck's sake. Are we really going to miss out on top 4/top 6 because we can't cope with teams who come to Goodison and just run around quite a lot?

This reminds me of our performance against Fulham at home.

Slow, turgid, lacking ideas and should be losing.

That is a superb, well-deserved goal. So easy for Fulham to work that through.

We look beyond clueless. Didn't want to say it but the writing was on the wall here after 10 minutes. An absolute carbon copy of the West Ham and Newcastle performances. Our squad is riddled with midfielders who are decent with the ball but can't run and Coleman is finished at this level.

2-0! Reed shot hits the post and Maja has a very easy rebound to poke in.

Think @RandoEFC could post a whole plethora of words to describe this performance (and result?), but I think only two choice words would be needed...

Absolutely disgraceful to a man. No pressure on them playing out the back. Sigurdsson bounces off a tackle in midfield. Keane and Godfrey stand and watch the rebound. Appalling. We haven't looked arsed here at all and 0-2 is flattering to us.

You're losing to all the same sides at home that we did xD

They want to be like us so badly

This is the kind of silly result you're getting this season. Tell you what feels very Everton to me - going through that 120 minutes against Spurs the other day, a genuinely very good game and the reward is being knackered for this, losing it and drawing Man City in the quarters.

I knew posting that record would shaft you somehow.

The fatigue from midweek accounts for some of the poor performances but not all of it. The biggest factor looks like attitude to me. We genuinely give off a whiff that we expect to turn up to these home games and just be able to control the game comfortably but in reality our lack of legs in midfield prevents us from boxing teams in and this ends up happening. Doucoure is our only really mobile midfielder and he looks knackered here.

Not really having a player to replace Calvert-Lewin hinders you, too. Like Wolves and Jimenez.
