I mean, he's done an incredible job to rescue Atlético and lead them to be a La Liga and european force, but over the last few years it seems that the club has stagnated. Part of the problem is that he recently isn't getting the best out of their major signings in offensive positions. The likes of Lemar, Morata, Diego Costa and João Felix come to mind. It's not like he doesn't know how to coach forwards or take them to stardom, Simeone did just that with Griezmann and Diego Costa (1st Atleti stint), it's just that he is struggling to do that at the moment. Maybe bring an assistant coach with fresh ideas? I really dont think Atletico will be able to replace Simeone. He plays shit football but he turned Atletico into a major force. I only see them going backwards when he leaves.

They kinda stagnated but at least he puts them consistently at Champions League. Probably a bit similar to Wenger at Arsenal. He took a traditional club to the 21st century but after it, they´ve reached a plateau, which is still considerably higher at where they were before. Atleti should keep Simeone. To be honest, they currently have the strongest squad in Spain and one of the most balanced in Europe. They could be taking advantage of the sport currently being the weakest it's been since I've known it and winning important trophies. They are equipped with strong defence, a top right back, quality midfielders in the likes of Llorente, Saul and Koke(along with options such as Kondogbia), 2 skilfull wide-men in Carrasco and Lemar, one of the stand out young attacking players in Europe in João Felix, one of the best number 9s(even at his age) in Suárez, the best keeper in the world in Oblak.. They were 15 points ahead of Barcelona in la Liga 6 weeks ago and are now only 4 ahead and Simeone can't use the old chestnut "partido a partido" that he used when they last won la Liga as they have the strongest and most balanced squad in their league right now. If someone with a more positive approach was available, they would do well to make a change from Simeone, although the problem is that there aren't currently any top managers available who fit the bill, so it would be risky to get rid of Simeone due to this as he guarantees them Champions league football.
