Administrator Stan Posted March 14, 2021 Administrator Posted March 14, 2021 He's left Portsmouth. Lingering just outside the play-offs in League One, lost the EFL Trophy yesterday, lost their last 3 in a row...
Lucas Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 He should have gone end of last season. Long overdue this. Pompey have missed golden opportunities to get out of League One and continuously blown it. Looks like the same may happen again now. Automatics just keep slipping away. His football is dire and the fans have wanted him out for ages. The irony is, had he not recently signed for Ipswich, I think they would have gone straight back for Paul Cook. They obviously wanted to give him the Paint Pot Final as one final chance but enough is enough. Neil Harris isn't my cup of tea but his name may get floated here and also the likes of Lee Bowyer too.
Dave Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 It seems an odd time to make a change given their league position at the minute. If you've persevered with him this long you may as well give him to the end of the season. I think Neil Harris would be a smooth transition to be honest. Going from one manager who likes structure and organisation to another.
ScoRoss Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Danny Cowley appointed as new boss. Obviously had a set back after being sacked by Huddersfield, but a very decent job to return to management.
