Gunnersaurus Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 Have you had experiences with family rows? Most of the rows in my family involve my dad. At the moment my sister isn't talking to my parents because of a row with dad involving her partner. I've had a lot of rows with my dad. My dad can be very difficult. I try not to react now as we dont know how much longer he will be here. He has had a very unhealthy life and has already reached a good age considering it.
Dr. Gonzo Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 I've got an uncle that basically has made it his life mission to piss off his brother (my dad) and sister. Used to include my grandparents too, but they've passed now so he can't start shit with them. He's an abrasive person and tbh he's quite fucking racist - which led to a lot of shit arguments about my mum & about me and my siblings. I don't really like one of my cousins because he's basically grown into being a mini-version of my shit uncle. It's a bit sad, but tbh he's sort of served as a familial example of a person to not be like. I genuinely hate him tbh, I don't care that he's related to me. If I never heard from him or about him again, there'd be nothing of value lost from my life.
Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted January 10, 2023 Subscriber Posted January 10, 2023 Getting too old for family rows and tbh I lost contact with a lot of my family over the years for certain reasons one of them is because they could never respect the person I married and have been with now for over 40 years, so I told them to piss off and that was around 9 years ago. I more or less class the wife's side of the family as mine as they accepted me for what I am, a human being, there are still little family tiffs on the wife's side of the family but they just blow over in the end, and peace returns.
