Unless we have some kind of major fall off then he will have to be good against bus parkers to get that. Last season we faced a lot of naive teams who hadn't come to terms with the fact that Newcastle are better than them. A lack of respect and over confidence got a lot of teams spanked by us.

Which is why Tonali was signed, the classical Mazala drifts into half spaces and delivers those dangerous bending crosses between the keeper and defenders, they are awkward to deal with.   it will take the load off Trippier. 

last season you have maxi and miggy narrowing the pitch which is the last thing you want against teams that park the bus

if also like to add that Barnes has played for Leicester teams that were good teams playing champions league football and pummeling Man United at Old Trafford type teams.   Are you saying they never played park the bus teams?  They pummeled us many times with Brucey parking the bus.

 

Barnes can use his left and right which is a forgotten art.

No. I didn't realise you said goal "contributions", thought you meant he'd score 15 goals.

Overall I think it was a good deal,  probably took longer than it needed to but we got the player that fits the system.
