They definitely need strengthening and given they're about to play in Europe, I'm surprised they've not been more active in getting players in. Similarities to us last season - sell an asset for a huge fee but don't do anything with the money til it's too late.
Danny Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 They spent what last season, about £170m? That’s an incredible amount of money to struggle as badly as they did. It’s clear they need to replace Rice, but overall there’s a lot of talent in that team and I’m not even sure they desperately need replacements elsewhere.
