LFCMike Posted December 11 Posted December 11 I think we only see players get new deals early if they've come in on a comparatively low wage, done really well and have shown they're worth more than they're on. With Trent, he's already on a very good wage so there wasn't really any need to start talks when he still had two years left. It's an unfortunate set of circumstances that have led to him being down to the final 6/7 months without a new deal in place but I don't think it's one we can be overly critical of the club for.
