Administrator Stan Posted June 4 Administrator Share Posted June 4 Something seemed up with him in the last few months of the season. Whether it was being played out of position or head was elsewhere, something was amiss. Reckon they'd do well to be shot of him while he still has some monetary value as opposed to leaving on a free, and re-invest in better players across the squad. OrangeKhrush
https://www.caughtoffside.com/2024/06/03/casemiro-transfer-utd-ace-eyed-by-al-nassr-2/ If a Saudi team is going to play 90-100m for Casemiro that needs to be investigated for unfair value, there is no way he is worth that and this just stinks of using the Saudi league clubs to avoid PSR. Doubt the 90 to 100m will happen, hopefully half of that since he still has two years left on his contract

The problem is using the Saudi's to over inflate values as a means to help PSR should not be allowed. He is in his age 33 season on insane wages and his legs are gone. I said the signing would be good as long as his legs last, but he was burned out after last seasons marathon. He is in the same position as we find ourselves with Trippier other than we didn't spend a boat load on him. It is possible both will be playing in Saudi next season. You are only including his worth as a player in saying his value is inflated. The Saudi league will use him for marketing purposes and claim they can attract name players. It will also keep Ronaldo who wants him on the team happy. You have to factor in all that when deciding his value. Plus isn't it the Saudis who should determine value, if they are willing to pay 50m plus than they must value him at that amount.
