Michael
This should be a very close match in Berlin. Both Poland and Austria narrowly lost their opening matches at these Euros to the Netherlands and France respectively. Each side will surely go for the win today, to keep their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages alive. I do have to say that I do like the Austrian midfield. Administrator Stan Posted June 21 Author Administrator Share Posted June 21 Zalewski should have equalised there. At least hit the target.
Michael
Trauner's headed goal from a cross still separates these sides, but Zalewski should have done better with his chance that he shot over the bar. Moderator Tommy Posted June 21 Moderator Share Posted June 21 I didn't not expect Poland to come back into this game after the first 15-20 minutes. Austria were all over them.

Michael
Poland get a free-kick in a dangerous position, just outside the Austrian penalty area. Trauner the scorer of Austria's goal is injured and has to go off to be replaced by Danso. Poland meanwhile bring on two strikers, Lewandowski and Swiderski for the scorer of Poland's goal Piatek and Buksa.

Administrator Stan Posted June 21 Author Administrator Share Posted June 21 Almost out of nowhere Austria are back ahead through Baumgartner! Arnautovic dummy allows Baumgartner the space to open up and shoot past Szczesny. Not sure where Szczesny was diving to...
