Michael
I like the Czech starting line-up for this match, compared to the starting line-up against Portugal. Ivan Hasek has gone for a more offensive line-up, bringing in the likes of Hlozek and Cerny. David Jurasek also starts today. They are all quality players who can do a good job to help the Czechs today and maybe create more chances for centre-forward Schick. I expect Georgia to play exactly how they approached their game against Turkey, so this could be another very open game. But I think the Czechs will probably just edge this match today. Michael
A double save by Mamardashvili prevents Georgia from conceding! First Hlozek had a shot at goal, excellently blocked by Mamardashvili's feet, the ball then richocheted around in the area, then Schick had a follow up shot at goal, which was punched away by Mamardashvili. Two big chances for the Czechs. Then a minute later, Hlozek had a lovely header at goal, again excellently saved by Mamardashvili! That's 3 big chances for the Czechs in the opening 4 minutes. Georgia have a lot to thank Mamardashvili for.
Michael
Hlozek put the ball in the net and the Czechs think they've scored. But after a long check with VAR by the officials, the goal is not allowed.

Michael
It's all the Czech Republic, it's just a matter of if they can score the winner in the remaining minutes.
Michael
The Czechs will be kicking themselves if they don't get the 3 points today. They've been the better side and the Georgians don't have the same fitness levels. Edited June 22 by Michael
Administrator Stan Posted June 22 Author Administrator Share Posted June 22 That should have been the winner for Georgia.
Michael
Georgia fluff a last minute counter attack as they balloon a shot over the bar. But the Czechs dominated that 2nd half and they even had more dangerous chances in the 1st half. Schick going off injured will be another concern for the Czechs. But it finishes 1-1 and the Georgians will be celebrating their 1st ever point at European Championships. Georgia 1-1 Czech Republic
