Smiley Culture Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Hardly any surprise that a team made up largely of 17-20 year-old's is bottom of the Football League, is it? Those poor lads, I feel for them so much. They're a talented bunch, there's a few with some genuine potential and others with potential to make careers out of the game but they're lambs to the slaughter at the minute and they must be so low on confidence and lacking morale.
roversgirl Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Wow the last two results have been 2-2, but I have a totally different feeling about them! To get a point tonight away at Fulham is huge, it was our game in hand and as it stands its in our hands whether we stay up or not. It would have been very easy for the players to give up after Fulham went 2-1 up late on but there is a completely different spirit and desire under Mowbray. There is belief among the players and team that we won't be beaten. Joao has come into his own in the last 2 games, he has made a big impact coming off the bench along with Mahoney.
Subscriber JoshBRFC+ Posted March 15, 2017 Subscriber Posted March 15, 2017 Wow what a turnaround, 6 games unbeaten since he came in. Ecstatic as without this run we would be down and out. Some massive games towards the end of the season against fellow strugglers.

Yeah we are on a tough run of games at the moment against teams towards the top of the league so its great to be picking up points and then get a few more wins against the teams around us as we still have to play Bristol City (h), Forest (a) and Wolves (a). It's the spirit and desire I'm really impressed with, and the confidence Mowbray has given the players. We look a completely different team and we have lots of attacking options with the emergence of Mahoney and Joao in recent weeks - both make such an impact from the bench and they can change a game.
Administrator Stan Posted March 16, 2017 Administrator Posted March 16, 2017 must be the first time in ages Sky have chosen not to air Forest vs Derby??
